Still good food. Like everything else the prices are higher and the portions smaller. We ordered the seafood stew, lobster Mac and cheese and the lobster grilled cheese. See the lack of lobster in the 2024 photos compared with 2023

The perfect day to visit Chipman's Wharf! We ordered the Twin Lobsters and Half and Half Rolls. Great service at the counter and they deliver to your table. The fish market was filled with a great selection and the gifts store had many great items in it!

We came for lunch and got the cold lobster roll and a crab roll. Excellent quality & stuffed with meat. Buns were perfectly toasted and the side potato salad was delicious! We came back and bought live lobsters for our family lobster dinner and they were excellent quality and extremely reasonably priced. Food: 5/5 - would come back and get the same thing Drinks: 5/5 - canned stuff but good variety Vibe: 5/5 - outdoor seating is nice and overlooks the water Value: 5/5 - $20 lobster roll; $18 crab roll; $150 for 15 lobsters 1-1.25 lbs each - can't beat it.

Incredibly reasonably priced and the lobster rolls are straight fire as my children would say. Staff is super friendly and even let my 6 year old hold a live lobster, making the experience that much better!

Chipman's Wharf came highly recommended to us by the property manager of the cabin we rented for our vacation. The food service area was closed for the season, but we could still buy fresh seafood to cook for ourselves, which is what we did on our 2nd day in the area. The woman behind the counter was super helpful and guided us through everything they still had available. Unfortunately because of the recent storms, they didn't have any fresh clams and weren't expecting to get any for a while. But we did stock up on 2 dozen oysters, scallops, haddock, and 2 soft-shell lobsters. The entire bill for everything came to a hair over $80 - a bargain for everything we got! That night we feasted on raw oysters and fresh steamed lobster. The next night we made seafood stew with the remaining oysters, the scallops and fish, and a stock made from the lobster remains. Everything was terrific.

It was our first time here. My hubby read some good reviews about the place and decided we needed to check it out while on our road trip. We got there right before it opened and had to wait 30 minutes for their grill to heat up. I ordered a lobster roll and hubby ordered seafood chowder. I was a beautiful day so we went exploring by the waterfront. Inside the store you could buy all kinds of fresh seafood. There were also prepared seafood meals. My lobster roll was one of the best I've ever had. I swear there was an entire lobster in it. The bun was nicely toasted and the lobster meat was lightly seasoned. The chowder was full of chunks of delicious fresh seafood mix. There is beautiful ocean view seating outside on the second floor. Can't wait to go back one day.

Fresh lobsters and other seafood at good prices can be found at Chipman's Wharf. They also have prepared foods, drinks and other goodies in the shop that all looked great. There was a lunch menu posted up, but we unfortunately came too late for that. We went with choosing a couple of lobsters by the pound and had them steamed onsite, added a small seafood casserole and picked some local beers to bring back for dinner at the house we were staying at. Everything tasted great and I'd highly recommend coming here!

    Lobster roll and fish chowder.

Ordered a lobster roll here. It was so delicious and fresh. We had it warm with almost no mayo- delicious, good price and decent amount. They process their lobsters, looks like a hrd working family. The young lady at the counter gave us a little tour of the lobsters they catch, very interesting. I also ordered fish chowder, was okay mild and milky. Glad we passed by here, the lobster roll was great.

Friendly, and fresh seafood. What more can you ask for? We would totally recommend going there but get there early as it can get quite busy.

We ordered the baked lobster dinner and while decent in taste of haddock stuffing in the baked whole lobster and size of it, it took entirely too long (35 minutes) , not because the kitchen was heavy on orders and lean on staff, it was audibly clear that there was way too much fooling around going on and not enough cooking. I worked in the oil and gas industry so cursing starts to become white noise to me, however, I felt uncomfortable for the elderly patrons and children present with all the F-bombs that were being announced from the kitchen and launched at the waitress. Clearly it is a favorite with locals (as evidence in the bar area) and I can see why with how great the servers/bartender are but the wait compounded by the inedible sides (a canned green bean, frozen veg mix with peppers that was intensely bitter and mashed potatoes that were clearly sitting in a warmer for too long just isn't worth a second trip. It was Saturday and apparently besides the slim pickings, everyone rolls up the sidewalk by 7 or 8 respectively so we went there by default, not design.

What a pleasant surprise! Place was jammed on a Thursday…read morenight at 715 and totally empty at 8:30. Big crowd slowed the service at first but the waitress apologized and made up for it with quick and pleasant service once she got to us. Food was really good. Crab Stew was the best crab soup we ever had; chock full with a ton af crab meat and a nice creamy, buttered broth. No potatoes. Lobster Risotto was baked in scallop shells topped with bread crumbs and was delicious. Regular menu included mussels as well as fried seafood and assorted burgers. A tall glass dessert case as you come in was very tempting but with soup, salad and Risotto we were filled to the gills. I wish we had the time to try it again this year.
