From the wait staff to the manager to the food this place is amazing. Big family of 6 here, they were so sweet and accommodating and just were so friendly here. We came here for breakfast. The food had large portions, delicious, the eggs were delicious, the coffee was yummy, it was just a really down to earth and small town feel kind of restaurant. We loved it. read more

Came to Everyday Joe's for breakfast since all the brunch and breakfast spots in the area were closed because I was visiting Bar Harbor during the off-season in early April. The restaurant was pretty empty. The staff was friendly. I had the typical eggs and toast, and it was pretty good. read more

We stopped in for lunch after walking around Bar Harbor. The menu is pretty limited, but I enjoyed my Greek salad. My husband had the grilled chicken soft tacos - there were 3 which surprised him and the fries were great! It is counter service, but she did bring our food out. It didn't take very long. Everyday Joe's is a convenience store that also serves breakfast and lunch. It's a good place to grab if you want something quick. I had the breakfast bowl, which was an egg scramble of sausage, bacon, onion, green pepper, mushrooms, tomatoes, and potato wedges, topped with cheese. I had the bacon egg and cheese it was a solid contender of a sandwich. Now keeping in mind I've had bacon egg and cheeses from around Jersey and New York which this does not quite match up to but it was a solid sandwich. The atmosphere was solid as well it was not that crowded early in the season. Service was fine no complaints there as well. read more

What a disorganized bunch. Clean restaurant. In the only customer. I order a veggie burger and the 2 guys working chat for about 7-8 minutes and then tell me there's no Veggie burgers. I ask for a refund and they tell me it's impossible. They offer me a cheese burger and I ask for a regular burger with no cheese. Five minutes later they bring me a a warm bun and toppings but no burger. When I bring it back to ask for a burger the cook says I said no burger. He then realized it was no cheese. As I'm writing this, he's now cooking the burger. PS. - I asked to eat in and both attempts were given to me in to go boxes. read more

My friends and I stopped here before our hike. I got one of their hot sandwiches which was delicious. The bread was nice and crispy and the flavor combinations were great. I would not recommend getting the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (cold). My friends got that and really didn't enjoy it. It looked like deli slices of buffalo chicken and was just nothing impressive. Slightly out of the way but well worth the extra few steps. My wife's pancakes were among the best she ever had. My omelet was just right, plenty of cheese. I recommend the Acadia blend coffee. Order at the cash register. The food came quickly. Only open until 2 pm which tells you that they are serious about breakfast. read more

Okay- when you see a restaurant that pretty much receives consistent 5 stars you have to check the place out. So... this is another 5 star review and a must stop. We found this place for breakfast one day and it was good. Breakfast sandwiches were tasty and the pancakes were fluffy and cake-like instead of being dense. The potatoes were a little too salty for my taste. Prices This is a restaurant/gas station/convenience mart and is associated with the laundromat next door, so the atmosphere is very casual. It seemed to be more of a local place than a tourist joint. One person at the counter and another manning the cooktop. There were no lines, but it was an order-at-the-counter and bus-your-own-table kind of place rather than a full service restaurant. We were in Bar Harbor during a very rainy week, and a year-round resident was sitting behind us. He gave us some ideas for how we could adjust our plans for the day, which we appreciated. read more

This little fun spot is actually a mini store/restaurant! You order your food at the counter and seat yourself. A few minutes later out came a delicious omelette bowl and a yummy pancake! It's not fancy (paper plates and plastic utensils) but the food was delicious and quick. Plus, I got a pack of gum while I was there! read more

Amazing breakfast wraps!! It was so good we came by every morning we were in Bar Harbor except the day they were closed. Their breakfast wrap (we got ours with bacon and pepper jack cheese) was super flavorful and gave us so much energy for our morning hikes! Their blueberry muffin was also delicious especially when grilled. Also enjoyed their chicken sandwich with cheese, peppers and onions. This was excellent! I especially thank them for allowing me to sit on their patio after hours to take one of those "can't miss" calls. Given the number of coffee shops, bakeries, breakfast restaurants in Bar Harbor, I would return to spend my money with A Slice of Eden for food quality and outdoor seating. There is lots of space, a water bowl for our 4-legged friends, and flowers along the edges. The name is apt as they offer tranquility from all the tourist activities. Highly recommend as a not miss to recharge, relax, and re-orient oneself before planning more activities! I wish them a great season! Patrick Shaughnessy Chicago, IL

There's a group of eight of us and we ordered egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant roll, which was Devine ... Avocado toast with lobster also excellent and lots of specialty coffees that were made hot and fresh !! Order at the counter and they call your name when your food is ready ... My sandwich was wrapped in foil and was so hot. I couldn't wait to open it up. I knew it was fresh!

Lots of space for dining in and lots of little items for sale (soaps, jams etc). Good experience but if I was visiting Bar Harbor again I'd probably try a different spot. Would recommend giving it a shot though, if you haven't been here!
