Stopped in for the first time today. The cafe hours are 7-3 and it's nice that they serve both breakfast and lunch all day. The menu is extensive and it was hard to choose. My husband ordered the classic Reuben while I ordered the roasted beet salad. They were out of the maple dressing and I substituted the vinaigrette. The servings were generous and the service prompt. I appreciated the fact that the cashier gave us an overview of the menu when we arrived after I said it was our first time at their establishment. We've driven by this place for a long time and decided to stop in today for lunch. It's a cute place with a thrift corner with items for sale. The food is delicious and huge portions. Very cute inside and outside with very friendly staff. There is seating inside, but much more outside seating and they call your name over the speaker to let you know when your food/drinks are ready if you're not inside. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and while it was good - I should have changed it more to my preference. I'm not a heavy on the blue cheese kind of gal....and this sure was! So much so that it overpowered everything else for me. I would just skip it next time. There was also a hearty portion of tomatoes which was nice, but the wrap was pretty wet. My partner order the fried chicken sandwich and also felt it was a little too wet, again with nice fresh vegetables and great tasting bread - but under seasoned chicken. Stopped in for lunch while in the Blue Hill area and was very satisfied. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. The wrap was stuffed full of ingredients and I ended the meal full. There was a, "short staffed please be patient," sign but you'd never know it. Our food came out fast and hot and the staff working were very polite. My wife and two nieces and I were shopping in the bluehill area and were looking for a good lunch spot. Humbledbee cafe had good reviews and so we chose them. I didn't look at the time however and we arrived there 10 minutes before they were supposed to close. Wanting to be courteous I came in to check to see if it was too late to order. Many places will say yes and the employees often will have an attitude about it as well. I'm happy to say that wasn't the story at this fine establishment. They not only took our order but were pleasant about it and happy to do it. We had a decent sized order as well. The prices are very affordable and the food was top notch. We all got Crunchwrap supremes with red and green salsa and two sides of fries to share. They were generous with the sauces and the portion size was great. we didn't stay to eat inside but the atmosphere is lovely with Christmas music playing and nice cafe style seating with warm colors and plenty of space between the tables. This place is a little slice of heaven for those who appreciate great costumer service and most importantly GREAT FOOD. The biscuits here are homemade and the best thing I've ever tasted since I've been down south. I always order the bacon egg and cheese with a frozen mocha. THE FROZEN MOCHA IS SUPER GOOD. As a coffee drinker I appreciate that the chocolate is not too over bearing- well balanced and perfectly made! They have a beautiful outdoor space that is spacious and well kept. We had a turkey club sandwich today. Not cheap-about 18 bucks, but enough for two to share one sandwich. Delicious homemade bread, slathered with a mayo aioli spread, cheese, turkey, lettuce and tomato. Served piping hot. Just exceptional. At least good food to speak of. Suddenly, this cafe/restaurant that finds itself in an old greenhouse has come to town. Delicious homemade food that delivers power bunches in every bite, re-imagined comfort food, and incredible downtime generosity of service make this the place to eat. I got a small pile of lettuce and CANNED COLD BEETS I could have gone to the grocery myself, gotten these ingredients, made this salad myself and enough to feed a small Ethiopian colony, and still have change for a snack to actually fill me up. At first, the NYC-equivalent prices were intimidating, but the quality and quantity of food completely and totally justified them. The Slammer (essentially a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit) was one of the best biscuits I've ever had. The shape and crispiness of the fries were amazing, and the crunch of the chicken Caesar wrap was phenomenal. Would go out of my way to eat there again. This is a darling little cafe! We dropped in for a late lunch one day and love it so much we came back the next day to try out the breakfast menu! Everything we tried was excellent! Love the beet salad! The lunch sandwich's were delicious, and the breakfast bagels were to die for. You could tell everything was fresh. Also loved the ice coffee with coffee cubes! Beyond having great food, the employees were extremely friendly and helpful! They were willing to make adjustments to menu items to accommodate my kiddos preferences. We happened on this adorable little cafe on a family road trip. The only thing that isn't perfect about this place is that I'll probably never get to come again. It's adorable with beautiful flowers and a hothouse seating area. The bathrooms are super clean and nice. And the food! We had breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The salmon breakfast sandwich was the best I've ever had. If the bagels weren't house made, they sure tasted like it. My son's ham sandwich on a biscuit was also incredible.
