AMAZING choice for breakfast. pricey because each topping is an additional cost but the quality and taste of the food was worth it. i got sourdough, egg, cheddar with a maple oatmilk latte. SCRUMPTIOUS! 10/10 would return. staff is very friendly and quick.

Where to start with this oasis of delight? The owners are warm and kind and it shows through the food they serve to their patrons. My boyfriend and I were visiting Acadia for the first time and lucked out that this spot was right down the road. We ate here four different times during the week and also purchased lunch for our hikes. I recommend the following: The maple oat iced latte(you can also purchase the maple syrup) The Banh Mi sandwich The Tuna Salad Sandwich Make your own breakfast sandwich The Yogurt Granola Bowl(I could literally eat this everyday) The hazelnut brownie As you can see just about everything on their menu will not disappoint you. Sit outside on a the picnic benches and enjoy the freshness, creativity, flavor and overall love this place resonates through Bar Harbor. Shoutout to Chris and Christina, the nicest people ever. Also their neighbor Karl sells farm fresh eggs right across the street. So much love, don't miss out.

While in Bar Harbor, I found it difficult to find breakfast sandwiches. Mother's Kitchen was exactly what I wanted! When I looked at the menu I was sad I couldn't try everything. The breakfast bowls sounded amazing. You order at the window and can sit at a table under the tent or take it to go. The place was busy and I know why. Everything tasted great! Definitely want to come back for the bowls next time!

Island Take Out is an unassuming place tucked behind a gas station in Bar Harbor. As the name implies, it's geared mostly for food to-go, but they do have some covered picnic tables. We sat there, and they even brought the food out to us with utensils. The hospitality here was so friendly. The staff was very nice, the service was fairly quick, and the food came out fast. They have a decent sized menu, and I was surprised to see offerings like rum cake. We ended up ordering the lobster mac and cheese and the jerk chicken. I was very happy with the portion size, they definitely did not skimp on the amount of lobster they put on the mac and cheese, and the jerk chicken was also plenty of food. While it's certainly not cheap, I'd say the cost is competitive for what I'd say is a pricier town. The food was tasty (it had a lot of taste), but I will say that it did not taste like authentic Caribbean food to me. It was more like American BBQ style. That being said, I'd recommend giving this hidden gem a consideration if you're in the area.

The lobster was delicious and the mussels were some of the freshest we had. Absolute 10/10 of a meal. Quality and price can't be beat - good: lobster roll. It's good. But not as good as dishes above. The bread for the hot roll doesn't add to the lobster which is by far the star of the show. We ordered crab cakes, 2 large whole lobster, clam chowders, cocktail shrimp, blueberry pie and ice cream. Crab cakes- The crab cakes were the best crab cakes I have ever eaten in my life. TONS of crab in the crab cakes, not just bread. I had to saver each bite. The owner, she told us she is the one who makes the crab cakes every day. Cocktail shrimp and clam chowder- both were ok, nothing special, I wouldn't order it again. 2 Whole Lobsters- Both lobsters weighed in a total of 5lbs all together. Oh man, the boiled lobsters were absolutely amazing and delicious. Tons of meat in the lobsters, great texture, firm and tender. Highly recommend getting a lobster. Blueberry pie and ice cream- To end off a great dinner, the blueberry and ice cream definitely hit the spot. Lots of blueberry, crust was good, and I love how the pie isn't too sweet. OVERALL, I was so happy we stopped and tried Trenton bridge lobster Pound. The staff were great, talked to the owner and she said Saturday was going to be the last day of the season, so we really got lucky stopping by on a Friday right before they were going to close for the season. Naturally, had a huge chip on my shoulder about the quality of the food, but was tired of seafood deep fried or drowned in mayo. The place was a godsend. Usually not a fan of beer joints trying to pass themselves off as gastro-destinations, but these guys nailed it on all cylinders. When we walked in, the hostess let us know that they were short staffed but we could be seated. We were very understanding and could see that it was literally just her and one other person serving 3-4 different large seating areas. It was crazy for them but they made it work and got those tables flipped quickly without rushing anyone. We decided to sit inside the covered patio area because it was cold and it was so cute! The lighting and decor was a great vibe. It didn't take long for our server to come take our drink order. We ordered a blueberry soda (my very first Maine blueberry item!!!) and a beer. The blueberry soda was INCREDIBLE!!!!! I am so upset that we didn't order a 6 pack to take back to the AirBnb and I'm still kicking myself. The beer was also really good which I'm sure has to do with the fact that this Mainely Meat location is attached to Atlantic Brewing who also make my soda. It's a match made in heaven. For food, I ordered the sausage meal with coleslaw and baked beans and my wife ordered a bowl which usually comes with pulled pork, beans and coleslaw but she subbed the coleslaw for more cornbread. Both of them were reallyyyyyy good. We took home less than half of it just because we were stuffed. The coleslaw was amazingly balanced. It wasn't sweet and didn't go too hard on the mayo and the beans were equally incredible. They had chunks of meat in them, only adding to the smokiness. 10/10, we would absolutely be back!!
