I loved this place so much that we ate there twice while on vacation. Snag a seat outside; blankets are available on chilly nights. We sat inside on the second visit, which was nice, too. We had pizza both nights, as well as plancha potatoes and grilled veggies. This Real food is fresh and delightful! It's such a treat! The second night, we got the basque cheesecake, which was heavenly. The wine selection is also great! The menu changes and they have different specials and desserts each night. We tried Fiddle Heads for the first time-loved them!

My bf and I came here and were so impressed by everything. We've been wanting to have a farm to table style dinner on this trip and we're excited to try this place. Upon coming there was a 45 minute wait, but we didn't mind. The property is so beautiful, we were able to order a bottle of blueberry wine and hang out on the lawn near the pond. All of the staff were very friendly as well. When we were sat we ordered some apps- we got the vegetables, beets, and meatballs. All of the food was very fresh and delicious. We really loved the vegetables, it was what we were looking for on this trip. My bf and I shared the hunter pizza, it came with kale, mushrooms, bacon and it was served with a carrot and olive oil confite. We were blown away by the flavor and the space overall. Definitely come here if you're in the Bar Harbor area, solid spot!

What in the actual? This restaurant is more than a restaurant. It's an experience. Wait to eat outside after enjoying the garden. The food menu is not huge but it's delicious. Get the pizza, get the chickpeas but skip the beets. I can't stress how beautiful it is - truly a Maine experience. Our kids loved running around the green space. Summer memories made!

Was visiting bar harbor in October and I'm always on the look out for farm to table restaurant experiences.. I stumbled upon this magical place and was pleasantly surprised with one of the best dinners I've ever had. Their special was lobster grits and I ordered their seasonal veggies and warm spiked cider. Let me just say I'm a fast eater and I made sure to slow myself down to savor every bit. I was alone and brought a book to read. I'm normally nervous of going to dinner alone however, it seemed every worker made it their mission to make me feel at home and welcomed. Maybe they only hire sweet peas?? Please do yourself a favor and stop by. Oh also- went back to their coffee shop on property the morning and had great coffee and a delicious homemade blue berry muffin. (Sorry for the half eaten picture) I was too captivated by it to take a picture first.

We came here on Tuesday afternoon after doing a wine tasting Next Door We were going to have lobster also next door but the place seemed very cozy and inviting. We had chicken pizza pepperoni pizza, and the meat balls. Staff is friendly and attentive. After we walked around the garden.

Lovely restaurant attached to winery with the most charming ambiance. We had a party of 7 and were immediately seated for a late lunch (they open at 3pm) outside. There is very limited seating inside so keep that in mind if the weather isn't ideal. Pizzas were the main entree with some specials and a build your own option. My husband and I got The Ranger pizzas which was good and the beat salad special which was underwhelming. My blueberry spritz drink (local blueberry wine, brandy, soda water) was very refreshing! Our servers were prompt and friendly and the food came out quickly! I definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner if the weather is nice!!

What an incredible place full of love and purpose. We were so happy to be there and enjoy the food, gardens and humans who make this space happen. Happy s'more season ya'll!

This place should be on the list of top restaurants on the island. Though it would be hard to get a table. So for now, if you read this, consider yourself luck and go there if you are I to farm to table and a cute place to eat outside with nature yet ironically off the highway. Food was delicious and even tried a new vegetable.

    Old fashioned

Root beer old fashioned. What a way to start. The pork loin special was tasty, especially the corn and tarragon coulis under potatoes and veg. The Basque cheesecake was sublime. This farm to table restaurant is a special place with atmosphere and great staff. What a way to Maine. Worth the trip.

Wow. If searching for a good dinner in Bar Harbor, look no further!!! This was hands down the best meal I've had during my entire New England trip. Sweet Pea's was a lifechanging experience for my mom and I. From exploring the garden while enjoying our drinks (especially the Bea Bomb!!!), to our incredible meal, and the spectacular service from Ella, we were blown away! The pulled pork quinoa special and harvest pizza were to die for, along with the incredible tres leches strawberry shortcake, and from two foodies who were craving a healthy, nourishing meal in Maine, this was everything we could have asked for and more.

This was a fun one! Pizzas were super fresh, perfect crust thinness and held all toppings. Getting to walk around the garden and see where they picked your food is always a treat

The food was amazing! Would definitely recommend the plancha potatoes and meatballs. We also shared quite a few pizzas. This was the best place we ate at during our trip and our waitress was so kind.

Another had the Warm Roasted Root Vegetable Salad that she said was wonderful. We finished the meal with generous portions of carrot cake topped with delicious cream cheese frosting. There is a store inside the Black Moon (that happened to be closed on a Saturday night). In the corner they sell vinyl records and CDs and there is also a selection of guitars. There was also a musician playing live music near the front of the pub that really added to the atmosphere. It was a truly great find right on Main Street in Ellsworth.

I had the Mediterranean Mezzo for my meal and if you'd like it gluten free you can ask for extra cucumbers instead of the pita bread. The waiter was nice enough to bring me the cucumbers after he brought out the dish as there was an abundance of pitas in comparison to the rest of the items. They give you 3 dips which were all delicious. Tzatziki, olive dip and a Muhammara which is a red pepper dip. We then got the Oysters Rockafeller to split. Lots of tobiko. Heavy sausage flavor. I would probably skip those next time. I will say regarding drinks, they have a beautiful cocktail list but my stomach wasn't feeling great so instead of a normal spicy margarita or something similar, I asked for a dirty martini and it came out with a funky flavor. Most likely too much vermouth. The poor waiter took at least ten minutes before returning with a new martini without vermouth. He or the bartender clearly did not know how to make this. If I returned to the area I'd definitely return for a funky cocktail and something a little more adventurous on the menu.

The vibe is chill speakeasy/library; there's a comfy bar area with tables and then a warren of other little spaces where you can hang out as well, with books and games strewn about to peruse. I love that they have a small, curated menu, which makes it easy: Maine oysters (two kinds, both awesome) got me started with a martini (well OK two martinis; friendly bartender makes them *perfectly*), and then you can extend to dinner with a few rotating options. I got lucky because whoever is making this delicious food decided that bolognese and lasagna should have a baby and be served in a piping-hot dish with some bread and salad on the side, and who could be mad about that?! (NB get some red wine with it). And they feature the fabulous Maine martini (aka Allen's Coffee Brandy, to which I have been converted), so there's your perfect nightcap. Sometimes when you go to bars with small menus the food is so-so, but not here: everything was insanely good and the perfect portion size. Who knows when I'll be back in Bangor next, but I'll definitely come here again when I am. Check it out!

Ok..this place is meh. So, it's a cool layout inside. Thats…read morethe positive. Well another would be the staff. Very friendly. The place is located kind of conveniently to Acadia. So you know what that means, right? Thats means...TONS of tourists which in turn means....YET ANOTHER place that can charge a ton for basic...and I mean BASIC a$$ food and drinks lol. I get that we are in Bar Harbor or close to Bar Harbor and Bar Harbor is bougie. However, this place is like 20 mins from town....and the food and drinks aint even all that..so there is NO need at all to be charging what they do. Cool views across the street tho. So I bought a muffin and it was decent. Was it the best? Nope. I also got the banana/strawberry smoothie. It was expensive. I was really hoping for BANANA AND....STRAWBERRY!! since that is what it says on the menu. Could I taste any strawberries? Hell no! LOL! I swear they charge you $10 for a few bananas they blend up with like 2 tiny strawberries. They do have to have the pink color in there to make you think you are getting what you ordered....because why would you want what the menu says?? Crazy thought, huh? hahahah! The smoothie was gross. Yes, bananas are good for you, they are good in a shake, but just a shake that tastes like....all banana...nah, not for me. For me, thats gross. So just keep that in mind. I get it...we are at a coffee spot that's a quick stop before you go into the park and do a ton of walking for the day, hiking, walking along the beaches in the park. However, I mean...just make what is on the menu since ya'll love to rob the tourists. Just seems unfair to me is all. Did I go back? Nnnnnope. We drove by this place every day too while in the area and on our way to the park. Just skip right on by this place and drive into Bar Harbor. Many more places to choose from AND....GET THIS!!! They make you...exactly what you order!!! So crazy! You can also find many places in town that aren't crazy overpriced despite being restaurants etc that are targeted towards the massive amounts of tourists who visit this beautiful area....what I am assuming is...all year round. I will absolutely return to this area. Bar Harbor....MAINE! is a whole other world! It's like nothing I have experienced before. It's definitely one of Americas best kept secrets. However, when I do return....I will just skip on by Acadia Coffee House. Sorry to the employees...kind of. You all were nice, but its just shady that you made me a banana smoothie when I ordered the banana/strawberry and charged me $10 ...FOR BANANAS!!! What are they at the store...barely a $1 a piece? hahaha! Thanks for reading! Just find another coffee house! You'll thank me later haha! Cheers!
