    Bacon butter burger plus fries
    Andrew K.

Sooooo yummy! I got a bacon butter smash burger and it was so good. I was very impressed at how the burger was simultaneously so juicy, but not soggy at all. They must have packaged it really well in the paper that they use. I loved the fries too. The fries had really good salt on them (the chunky kind). Prices are pretty good for Acadia. I spent a little over $20 for a big burger (two patties) and fries (generous portion) and tip. Ambiance is fun- this is a permanent food truck with outdoor seating. There was even a little shade. Service was good too! The employees seemed fun and chill.

This is actually a food truck in an airstream trailer on the side of the road. Totally cute! Picnic tables, and the road isn't very busy. We got a Classic chicken sandwich, and a hot dog and fries. Both tasted great. It took maybe 10 minutes to get our food. Really good food and enjoyable experience. And the young lady who waited on us was really a sweetheart.

An unassuming patch on the side of the road casted with the shimmering presence of an airstream trailer, ordering off the whiteboard menu at this no-frills stop, made for a really great Hot Honey Chèvre sandwich, was a mouth melting bed of sprouts pillowed with some cucumber slices lies a beautiful golden brown fried chicken thigh with a creamy chèvre on top. Drizzled in siracha honey glaze. Quite tasty and a great surprise. The smash burger was juicy and flavorful. It was eaten before I could take a photo of it.

Great spot if you need a break from the seafood. Bacon Butter Smash burger was fantastic.

You wouldn't believe that one of the best foods you can eat around Acadia national park will be at Quietside Snacks. As soon as you enter, you are immediately met with memories of childhoods past with smells of bbq and campfire smoke. Both a straight forward and "simple" menu are always a green flag for me. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, the classic cheeseburger, fries, and mozzarella sticks. Everything, another green flag, was not oily, rather it was packed with great flavors. The food quality is on par with, if not better than most of the well known places in Bar Harbor. Seriously if you want great food without the hassle of lines and price gauging. Go here.

What an unexpected surprise! The only food truck we've seen on the island and it's delicious! Set in a vintage Airstream, the menu is not seafood heavy like everywhere else (as a vegetarian that makes me super excited!) I had the grilled cheese with red pepper jelly and apples and it was great, hubs had the fried chicken tacos which he loved. And the French fries were some of the best I've had! And I like a good French fry... if you are in Quietside (or lucky enough to stay on this side of the island) this is a perfect lunch spot. There are even a bunch of picnic tables so you can enjoy a leisurely lunch on a nice day.

Very good burger, friendly staff and a nice quiet location. Great spot to get something other than seafood while visiting Acadia.

We stumbled on Archie's hunting for an early dinner on the Quietside, about five minutes from the…read moreWonderland trail, and it turned out to be a great find. It's a fisherman-owned shack right on the bay -- informal, friendly, and exactly the kind of unpretentious Maine spot you hope to run into. Honestly, everything we ordered was excellent, so it's hard to single out just one thing. The hot-butter lobster roll was soft, fresh, and generous -- better than the other lobster rolls we'd had on the trip (I paid a little extra for hot butter over the cold/mayo version and would do it again). The lobster empanadas were a nice surprise: crispy from being fried, and while there's some filler beyond the lobster, the meat-to-filling ratio is good and the added flavor works -- I'd order those again. The clam chowder was rich and creamy without being gluey. Bonus points for the kids: a Lego play table kept ours happily occupied, and they did simple cheese quesadillas the kids actually ate. I also had a Pulp Truck IPA from Marsh Island Brewing -- which is what we would call a "Hazy IPA" or "New England IPA" on the West Coast, but here is simply an IPA. Regardless, it was quite good. We'd would definitely eat here again.

Decided to try this place, recommend by a local. They look like they are set up for crowds. Of…read morecourse you can't go wrong with lobster, they offer different sized portions. The lobster bisque soup is some of the best I have ever had.
