Great service, really good food. We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time during our vacation to MDI. The fish tacos are very tasty, with just the right hint of spice in the sauce. The fish sandwich is crispy, not greasy. Special shout out to the blueberry ice cream! read more

Best blueberry lemonade we tried on the island by a long shot Red snappah and fried clams were good, and the lobster rolls were solid Good and worthwhile stop read more

Such a pleasant experience at this casual roadside place. The lady working the window was so kind, explained everything, and was accommodating with customization on my husband's sandwich. I got the lobster dinner and it was fantastic! We ate outside, which was especially good for a messy meal, haha. (They even have an outside sink for this purpose!) I enjoyed the cornbread, and would definitely recommend the blueberry lemonade. Prices are very reasonable. If you want to escape the crowds of Bar Harbor, come here for dinner. read more

Great fried clams, fish tacos etc. My go to for a favorite meal on MDI. A stationary food truck with picnic bench seating. My first stop after arriving on MDI. read more

I left incredibly disappointed and regretful. I paid 85$ for 2 crab melts, lemonade, and tip and I could barely finished my first bite. We ended up scraping off the crab we paid for to make a different meal at home. The staff on other hand, are incredibly friendly! read more

Rodick’s - Crab "melt" - Seafood Near Me - Southwest Harbor, Maine

It's a food truck that has outdoor seating. Person at the register was kind and cheerful. I'm sad to say that the lobster roll was skippy ( not too loaded with meat) it sat on a bed of lettuce, which I thought was weird but I guess some places do it that way. The bread was soft and fresh. They give you the butter on the side which I liked. The lemonades were strong, I had to add water. Was it the best, no. Descent, yes. My partner had a cheese burger with a bag of chips that was kinda small but tasted good. Overall expensive for what we got- I think the drinks were $7, lobster roll was $27 and I believe the burger was $16. I think the total was around $60. read more

Rodick’s - Blueberry lemonade, "naked" lobster roll and cheese burger. - Seafood Near Me - Southwest Harbor, Maine

Fun shack, fresh lobsters, good price. The food was served quickly. Our go-to lobster spot in Acadia!

Great stop for fresh lobster and delicious soft serve! Highly recommend the naked lobster roll with butter. A huge portion of lobster. Also try the blueberry soft serve for a real treat! The owners are friendly and helpful. Tons of shades outdoor seating. And is next to mini golf for a full family outing. read more

My husband and I came by twice for dinners during our stay in Maine recently because the food was that good! Even more, this place is an incredible value: $21 for a lobster dinner that includes a whole lobster, whole ear of corn on the cob, cornbread, and coleslaw. For takeout orders, they include a moist towelette and handy wooden lobster pick. Their French fries are tasty and seasoned just right with good sea salt. If dining on the premises, the place is very spacious and has a nice, clean outdoor dining area that's near the mini golf. The employees are very nice and gave my dog a doggy biscuit for her to enjoy while she waited! read more

Best thing I've ever eaten. Hands down. Had to order a second blueberry lemonade because I drank the first one so fast (it was also really really good). Gentleman working was also very kind! It's a walk up to order and seating outside, casual and perfect spot for lunch while exploring read more

We drove to Bar Harbor, intending to eat some lunch there. It was insanely crowded that day, so we left. En route to our Airbnb and starving, we saw Rodick's roadside restaurant, and decided to stop. And we're glad we did! My husband ordered the fish tacos, and I got the grilled chicken sandwich. The tacos were perfect: tender, crispy fish, with a homemade slaw. The chicken sandwich was grilled perfectly. It had a light, smoky flavor and it was moist--unlike many dry food-service chicken sandwiches that have disappointed me in the past. To accompany our lunches, we shared a Maine blueberry lemonade that was delightfully tart, with a smattering of wild blueberries. What made our stop even better was the service at the window. John--the man who took our order--was friendly and welcoming. And it wasn't performative; he is genuinely a nice man. So, if you're on the road and or just need a recommendation for a tasty meal, go to Rodick's!! read more

Awesome food! We have eaten here many times during our 3 week stay. We've compared with lots of other restaurants in the area and their food has been the freshest and great tasting. The Lobster Roll is very good (one of the Best), the haddock sandwich is delicious, the Crab Roll is mouth watering good and the Blueberry pie à la mode is fabulous delight to your taste buds. You gotta eat here. Try it and see for yourselves. Thanks to Terri and all the folks working there for a great place to eat. read more

We stopped here for lunch during out stay in Maine and we loved it! Friendly staff and customer service. You order at the window then pick your table wait for them to call your order number. They have tables in front or cause go up the stairs for more tables (much quieter up there) as they are located off a busy road. We highly recommend the blueberry ice cream, blueberry lemonade!! We got the fish and chips and lobster dinner. Both were great portions and flavorful. Make sure to take your picture with their cutout fisherman. Nice open seating under umbrellas. They have take out as well but if you don't have a schedule recommend just eating there enjoying the trees and the water sound from the mini golf by it. They also have very reasonable prices. read more

Worst soft serve ice cream ever! First it was $6 for a small ice cream. They could not do a twist. They did not even have chocolate. I ordered two smalls and was charged $6 and handed one ice cream. When I asked for the second one I was told it would be another $6. I should have stopped there. But I ordered the second one. The "fudge" flavored tasted horrible and when I got to the bottom it was full of what I think was the raw mix which tasted horrific. I threw it away because I am pretty sure you should not eat that stuff raw. This was after having to stand in line behind a woman who was monopolizing the order area along with her husband who was monopolizing the food order window. Terrible experience and terrible ice cream. I won't go there again. If I had known Town Hill market was still open I would have stopped there or just driven to DQ where you can get a consistent product more reasonably priced. read more

Pulled in on a whim on our way between hikes. Had a fantastic lunch of fried clam sandwich that was so much better than one we had earlier in the week at a sit down restaurant. Off menu they had posted a crab claw special that we ordered that was a fantastic deal and delicious. The cornbread was the best we ever had. Both the guy who took our order, as well as the chef/cook were super nice and friendly. read more

Surprisingly great chicken salad and chicken sandwich! Fresh, quick, delicious. Will definitely come back for more.

Everything is Top Notch fresh seafood Killer Burgers and must have BLUEBERRY LEMONADE!

I drive by this place every day on my way home from work. Coworkers told me not to waste my money trying this place but I was feeling adventurous today. Paid $15 for a very small meal. (Chicken strips, very small bag of chips, soda and $1 tip). The fact that it didn't even come with fries or more food for that price was pretty insane. My coworkers seemed right. But oh well. The worst part was it ended up not even being edible lol. Got 4 small pieces of cold chicken strips that were clammy on the outside and chilled on the inside. It didn't look like they even attempted to cook these! Maybe threw them in a microwave for a minute and served them still insanely cold. What in the world? Avoid this place at all costs. I should have. read more

At the time of this review there was only one previous review here which made this stop a bit of a gamble. Our family of four stopped here and were pleasantly surprised. I had the fish tacos, and of all the meals that I've had over the week this is one that I'll be back for. Great light texture with the haddock (most places have been dry). The Cajun mayo was delicious on them. Our boys got burgers and said the were very delicious. Great stop. Recommend. read more

This rustic take out restaurant is serving up some well-prepared, tasty food. Our lobster rolls were fine, and the haddock dinner was wonderful. Also nice is the blueberry lemonade. Not so nice: The restaurant is unfriendly to disabled patrons. No HC parking spots. No ramp to the service window, just steps. How could this place open up without ADA compliance is a mystery to me. read more

Rodick's is a fabulous family-owned and operated business serving Maine delicacies with a smile. Any seafood you could desire will likely be available here and is fresh caught locally. The picnic tables are cute and have leash latches for dogs! Gifford's ice cream is delicious too and they have a decent flavor selection.
