Kiddie cone of Smores ice cream
Sammy W.

I'm obsessed with the Salt Shop!! I've been 3 times and I already can't wait to go again! Their ice cream is soooo good - I'm a huge fan of the Campfire Smores flavor & my dad loves the blueberry flavor. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The shop is small and tends to have a line, but I have never waited too long! Highly recommend!

Perfect treat on a summer night

Cute shop in town to get a sweet treat or two. We were thrilled (& surprised) it was open til 9pm (summer hours).

We really enjoyed the salted caramel (nice crunch bits and not too Caramel sweet) and roasted coconut (great texture). There are seats outside and tables on the side. Great to sit down and cool down with some ice cream. Our dog got some pup ice cream and treats too! So sweet and he thanks them !

I had a delicious brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. My husband had the peanut butter pie. We enjoyed both!

AMAZING. COFFEE ICE CREAM.

Congratulations on three weeks of business, guys! Food here is PHENOMENAL. So we're a big party of 11 people. We ended up in the area to do some kayaking on vacation (We're from Virginia + N/S Carolina!) and we actually stumbled in here unintentionally because the bakery we were looking for closed... indefinitely hahaha. The Salt Cafe impressed us ALL with delicious food, extremely friendly and personable service, and a SUPER CUTE and welcoming environment. Not a single one of us found a negative thing to say :) We were so impressed by the coffee ice cream that we ordered six cones and several treats. Everything is made with exceptional care and attention to flavors. Everyone we spoke to are incredible people. This establishment has definitely left its mark on us and we can't wait to come back! Wishing you a lifetime of success and prosperity! Keep up the great work!

Fantastic sandwiches ($15), coffee and ice cream at this shop. Friendly staff too! We took our sandwiches on the road and ate at a beach on our way to Bass Head Lighthouse.

Great clam chowder. Prices are high for the portions. Ice cream is good but normal - not made locally.

Conscious Cafe is a small, tucked away neighborhood cafe inside a yoga studio. Their manu is carefully curated to nourish and replenish you body and soul. I really can't say enough about our experience here. We stopped by for an early lunch. I ordered the sweet potato soup as well as a coffee beverage. I typically don't like flavored beverages made with anything but espresso. Theirs are made with coffee and are outstanding. Zero complaints on the coffee. Their food is made fresh to order so takes a little while as when I was there, it was a bit of a one man show. The soup came came with crispy shallots and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. It was ginger kissed and one of the best sweet potato soups I have ever had. It was served with a side of crusty sourdough with the lightest smidge of ghee. It paired perfectly with the soup. The dining area is warm and comfortable with the kitchen easily viewable. You order at the counter and then the chef will bring you your meal. It's not a quick meal, but I promise you it will be worth the wait. Get to it!

Well was worth the wait. Good clean food, lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. The owner/chef Jesse even made a dish especially for me with all my dietary restrictions. Very nice! Also, there's a beautiful outdoor seating area that we really enjoyed. Definitely coming back!

The food was okay -- tasty enough -- but the portions were small, and the prices seemed to assume I was dining on a rooftop in Paris, not in a side alley. My matcha latte had potential but zero balance -- all grass, no grace. The regular latte was equally meh, more like coffee-scented milk. The Shakshuka was decent but nothing to write home about, and the blueberry pancakes (which everyone raves about) lost some magic once I noticed their "secret ingredient": Golden Malted pancake mix, spotted upstairs near the restroom along with a lineup of pre-bought ingredients and juices. Mystery solved. Which brings me to the biggest question: if nothing's made from scratch, why does it take 30 minutes for the food to arrive? Maybe the wait time is part of the experience -- slow food meets pre-mix café chic. To be fair, the service was friendly, and the vibe was fine if you like dining al fresco in a blah alley with a side of hype. Bottom line: decent flavors, kind staff, but more style than substance. If you're chasing trendy brunch photos, it delivers. If you're chasing real scratch clean cooking, keep walking.

This place has extensive outdoor seating. Service is ok, since you just order and they bring you food, there is not much of a role for them. There is only one tiny restroom, and you need to be in the line even if you want just to wash hands. I had matcha latte which wasn't good at all. But overall it was a decent place.

I saw this place when we first got to Maine and never forgot about it because I am a giant soft serve fan and they boast 24 different flavors of soft serve!!!! This was our 4th and last stop on our Maine Ice Cream Trek and it did not disappoint. After very long and drawn out deliberation, I decided to try the English Toffee flavor and my wife got the Dragon's Blood soft serve flavor. Both were so good but that Dragon's Blood was out of this world!! I had never had the flavor before and it blew my mind. We also got fries to make sure we made it home to eat and they were the best fries we had in Maine for our entire trip and my wife LOVES fries so that's a very nice compliment. We almost ordered a second serving. There is plenty of covered seating outside but no inside seating so it gave a well catered picnic vibe. I will say it was hard for us to find because the map didn't realize where it was. We had to drive around a bit to find it but it's next to the gas station/convenience store that Maps takes you to. I would absolutely go out of my way to go to Seaside Dairy Bar the next time we're in Maine. It's well worth it!
