Pretty good bar food, not overly expensive and good service. Open during the off season which unfortunately in Bar Harbor is a rarity.

This rating is specifically for the wood fired pizza which we ordered take out. I almost never leave bad reviews because I trust yelp reviews and the normally don't steer me wrong. Also, I've never had a wood fired pizza I didn't like. We ordered the Margarita pizza as we were in the mood for a good basic bite after a long car journey. The only thing good about it was the very edge of the crust. It was as you would expect a wood fired pizza to be. The rest of the crust was about 1/8" thick with 1/8" of mozzarella, basil and tomato toppings. The pie was not completely sliced and as we tried to slice it onto pieces, all of the toppings (that were there) came off and created a huge mess. Also the crust was very limp, perhaps a bit undercooked and barely warm. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend the pizza here - at least in a takeout situation. read more

Visiting from Miami, Florida. We had lunch here. Lobster roll was nice, Fish n Chips, I found to be excellent!! Fish was fresh and crispy. Staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Super cute restaurant! read more

This was a bustling place with lots of options for food, drinks, and dessert. We were celebrating a birthday and had a great time.

I was expecting another tourist trap when we went here but was so happy that this place met and exceeded my expectations . I am usually a CT style lobster roll girl but went on a limb and the 'Mini Lobster Bake' which had a mini COLD lobster roll in a hot buttered bun which was pretty good but also came with great clam chowder and a delicious blueberry tart. The steamers were superb as were the oysters- which came with a delicious blueberry topping that I swapped my usual horseradish for. The Irish coffee was strong and the key lime martini was AMAZING. The French fries were great too. Our server Athena was as sweet and friendly as can be and excellent at her job she is honestly the best server we have had in a very long time . Don't walk, run to Geddy's :) read more

Our visit at Geddy's started with a warm welcome by Mary Grace, its not busy that time (around 2 pm). We tried everything that comes with blueberry like blueberry beer, mojito and soda. The lobster taste good and also try the blueberry pie for dessert. The only down side that time is our server keeps forgetting our water that we ask, like we asked her 3x and she almost forgot that our meal comes with a dessert but everything is pretty good. Inside the restaurant you would really feel the Atlantic vibe and they also have a souvenir shop down the restaurant. read more

Great spot right by the park! Super fast and friendly service, especially for a Friday night! I love that you can make reservations. The lobster bake was very tasty-chowder, lobster, and pie were all delicious. The burger was also a good order and we loved that they offered apple & carrot appetizers for kids. They served the children's food on frisbee plates which we took out to the park after dinner and had a blast with! I highly recommend this place in Bar Harbor! read more

Terrible customer service. We booked a reservation for 10 people a week prior, paid a $250 deposit and waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Their excuse was they only had 3 tables that could accommodate us and they were full. They continuously seated other larger parties who walked in. We booked this to be a simple casual dinner after our intimate wedding ceremony which we had told them and still they weren't prepared. I know puzzles are difficult for some people however I'd expect to be accommodated if I'm paying a deposit to make reservation for 10 adults. As for the food, I have no idea as we didn't stay. I walked down to Testa's bar and grill and they sat us immediately and had us drinks in minutes Sam was amazing and reaped the reward of his hard work. read more

This was the 3rd time we stopped here while on a cruise. Our waiter was Keagan and he took excellent care of us was knowledgeable about the menu and always had a smile on his face! I had planned on ordering lobster but after looking at the menu I ordered the seafood pot pie which had haddock, shrimp, scallops, lobster, and crab it was baked with rice and served in a cast-iron dish. To say it was excellent would be an understatement! My wife ordered haddock and she said hers was excellent also. We topped off our dinner off with fresh blueberry pie from Maine and a cup of coffee. I would highly recommend this business read more

I don't want to knock it-but I will. This restaurant is a tourist trap that's super overpriced with below average food. It feels like a version of a seafood chain like Joe's Crab Shack. The food was average. I never know what to believe from reviews, so I go in cautiously optimistic, but we weren't impressed. A redeeming quality is the staff and servers are really nice and we had quality service. read more

THIS PLACE WAS A TOURIST TRAP. We arrived at the restaurant and were told they were booked solid and do not take walk-ins. So we ordered food from their website for take-out and sat on their bench in the waiting area while we were waiting for it to be prepared. About 30 minutes later they gave us our food. We ordered Calamari, a lobster roll, fries and two drinks. We walked out and sat on a bench outside and tried to eat our food after an overall wait of about an hour. The fries and calamari were so super cold and stale we were amazed at how that would even be possible if they brought the food out right as it was made/or if it had been made fresh. They felt like they had been stored for hours in the kitchen and then lazily thrown into a takeout container. It's disappointing to spend so much time while you're on vacation to buy food at a place you're expecting to be an amazing experience only to find out it was a tourist trap and you didn't even get the product you paid for. The calamari and fries went straight to the garbage. The lobster roll also wasn't anything special and was very overpriced. If you have a car I would suggest visiting a less touristy option on rout 1 or even heading out to Portland. I think that's the problem with restaurants in touristy areas. They don't have to focus on quality because most people eating there won't be coming back nor bother to complain since they're on vacation and have better things to do. Overall we were very disappointed and it was a major waste of money. We won't be going back. read more

Geddy's - This is how they packed the lobster roll. The fries were very cold. - Seafood Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

The food was very mediocre and the menu very limited. The lobster rolls came only cold with mayo. The waiter said the chef could prepare it warm but when it came it was cold with corn all over it. The calamari had a weird sauce all over it. They were nice enough to remove it from our bill. I saw in a review here that the pie was worth the entire visit but I thought it was very average. The only thing decent was the cheese pizza which was still pretty mediocre. read more

My bf and I shared the Lobster combo meal that came with Clam Chowder, Corn on the Cob, and a wild blueberry pie along with a Lobster Pizza. Let's start with the Lobster from our lobster meal. The lobster was so well made and each part of the meat came easily out of its shell. And the taste.... it's definitely a Maine Lobster! lol put on some of the butter dipping sauce they provide you and you're in lobster heaven. I normally don't like corn on the cob and was letting my bf eat all of it if he wanted to, but he insisted I take a bite - it had such a lovely juicy sweetness. As for the blueberry pie, my bf was infatuated with it. The Lobster Pizza?... it was a good try, but probably wouldn't order it again lol. read more

Geddy's felt like a life-saver the other night! After a personal injury on the Acadian boat tours with a rusty lock, we were eagerly looking for a late dinner in the Bar Harbor area that wasn't packed to the gills! We ended up at this gem where we were seated promptly and served by a cheerful staff. While I didn't love the white Sangria I ordered, just the lovely scent of my friend's Sea Dog Blueberry wheat beer tempted me to remedy the situation with another drink. The beer was smooth and I enjoyed the hints of fruit flavor as well as the Maine blueberries garnishment. The food was amazing. I realize I was pretty famished but I haven't enjoyed a meal like this in awhile. My burger was cooked perfectly to order and was made of quality ingredients. I asked for some honey mustard to dip my fries in and it was exceptionally good; less sweet and flavored with Dijon. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her seafood casserole bake. There was much to like about the decor and atmosphere but the prominent nude painting that greeted us upon entrance made our young 11 year old tourist uncomfortable. When seated we had to move his menu so he wasn't facing it. Honestly, had I not been so hungry and the late-night pickings so slim, that would have been enough for me to turn around and leave. I would hope the establishment might reconsider this display while offering a children's menu. I debated on 4 or 5 stars and finally decided on 4 because of this factor. read more

We had a very great first visit. Started with chowder for an appetizer and got the burger and baked haddock for meals. The haddock was outstanding-rice could use a little more seasoning. It was just a plop of sticky, boil in a bag rice. Maybe risotto instead? Someone from the kitchen brought out our chowder and meals. Our waitress disappeared after I asked for more crackers for the chowder and we didn't see her again until our meals were done. I totally understand that restaurants are operating with a smaller staff, but there were many waitresses there and it was an early dinner (4:00). read more

Y'all you got to check this place out. Right near the water in downtown bar harbor is this little incredibly good restaurant, that is worth your hard earned money. For dinner I had the calamari for the app, the Maine lobster roll for the dinner and obviously a slice of the blueberry pie. Every single item was better than the last and it was just so incredibly good. The cost was a little up there, but in my opinion it was well worth the price really really good food, and truly a real taste of Maine if I've ever had one. I can't wait to come back here in the summer when they are rolling (I went near the end of the season) but even than incredibly good food and worth a trip! read more

Coming from New York, we came to Maine to eat seafood so we were excited to try Geddy's. However, we were quickly disappointed. Our lunch was quite overpriced ($95 for two adults and two small children) and "fresh lobster" is not an excuse. We've had fresh lobster and seafood in Boston and Seattle that was at least 2x better and cheaper, too. This place is overpriced because it's right by the shore and is convenient. Definitely won't be coming back. We were most looking forward to the lobster roll and clam chowder but also got crab avocado toast and calamari. The crab avocado toast was burnt, but not bad. The lobster roll was fresh and had a good amount of meat just very overpriced. The clam chowder was clumpy, but not in a good way. It didn't taste fresh and had too many potatoes. Probably could've gotten better from Costco or BJs and it would h much cheaper too. The calamari was quite good (definitely the best dish but not worth coming back for). Lastly, we got the margarita pizza. It was fine, barely had any cheese and the crust was a bit soggy. read more

Came to Bar Harbor for vacation from NYC! We explored the strip of downtown and we chose this place. We actually came back for a second time bc it was super good. Our waiter and waitress that we had were really friendly. First time, I had the shrimp and scallop scampi. Seafood was so fresh but the pasta itself was a little too buttery and too much olive oil but was still good. The second time, I had the lobster roll (hot butter style ~ $21). I had a choice of sweet potato fries or regular fries and of course I chose sweet potato. They were so crunch mmmmmm. I didn't finish them and took them home, and they were still crunchy the next day. We also had the crab and spinach for appetizer and there was so much crab in it. It was such a hip place and my dad loved the music (#oldpeople). We got a table by the window and had a great view of the sunset over the water. read more

We were underwhelmed by this Bar Harbor restaurant. Every place here is expensive, but for the price here the food just wasn't all that exciting. I had the Maine haddock with crab, rice, and the daily veggies. The haddock was ok but not as good as I remember the fish on Mount Desert Island being from our previous vacation here. The crab was not very good. Even my dad, who loves crab, didn't think it was good. My mom had a pizza with chicken, basil, and some other ingredients (can't recall the name). It wouldn't have been bad had it not had the chicken, which was in far-too-large chunks and had an odd smoky taste to it. Also, it was not a pizza that was very easy to pick up and eat because the bottom crust was very soggy and the chicken was heavy. This wouldn't have been a problem if they served it on an actual plate, but you get it right on the thing it was cooked on in the oven. My dad had the fried clams. He thought they were pretty decent. I wasn't a huge fan, just tasted like a whole bunch of batter to me. Everywhere in Bar Harbor is expensive, but this place just wasn't good enough to seem worth it. read more

I had the fish n chips and maybe it was just a regional preference - I didn't love the haddock, prefer cod. My husband ordered the New England chowder. I appreciate your concern and would definitely give it another go based solely on your willingness to look for improvement. Again- the bar service ( especially considering the crowd ) was very good. read more

My husband and I got take out and ate in the Park. He had ahi tuna tacos and said they were really yummy! I had a lobster roll and it was great. They did mess up the order and gave me a lobster roll with warm butter instead of mayo even though they asked on the phone. It was still delicious and I'm sure I could have gone back but since it was takeout it was harder to do that. read more

No wait time and quick service! Was perfect for lunch. Tried the garden salad with the house blueberry dressing (10/10!!) and clam chowder (also 10/10!). 4 stars is because of the lobster rolls. I have been here before, about 8 years ago and honestly thought it was better back then. Standard bar food on a touristy street in gorgeous Bar Harbor. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient, bathrooms were clean. The food... okay. Just okay. JD's salmon burger was outrageously smoky - the lox was overpowering, almost inedible. We were warned it might be smoky, but my gawd. My fish sandwich was similar to something you might get at McD's. Fair. We saw plenty of other options down the street and around the corner. I'd keep walking... read more

A family and tourist-friendly, kitschy place to eat in Bar Harbor. It was incredibly packed when we came, which was a Saturday night on Memorial Day Weekend, but the place did try to accommodate us as best they could, even though we waited an hour to be seated after being told 35 minutes. The inside is very ornamented; the walls and bar are almost drowning in colorful and bright decorations. It's one of those places where, every time you glance up, you see something you hadn't noticed before. Definitely fun for kids, because they also give you (even if you're not a child) a coloring placemat with crayons. My friends and I were tired after a long day of traveling north and arriving at Bar Harbor a few hours before, so this was a good first meal at the island. We all had the local blueberry microbrew--Seadog Wild Blueberry ($5.95) which was served with actual blueberries in it. Funky twist. Foodwise, we ordered: - Sweet Thai Chili Calamari ($9): Sweet, but complimented the fried calamari well, and was also served with vegetables in the same sauce - Cup of Clam Chowder ($5): Basic, but still good - Lobster Roll ($13): Comes either cold with mayo or hot and buttered - Create Your Own Pizza, with Lobster, Spinach, and Alfredo Sauce ($18): 12" pie, pretty delicious - Brownie Sundae ($6): HUGE, but comes warm and topped with ice cream Geddy's is a fun little spot to bring your kids when in Bar Harbor. Definitely come in the off hours to avoid a wait. read more

Very nice atmosphere inside, although a little stuffy. I have a severe gluten allergy, and alerted the waitress. I want a server to tell me if they are not able to make food safely. Great bartender, good vibe, and good food. Walked off the street Sunday night and they were not taking names for seating people any longer at 7:30 pm! That was a shock but hung out for a few minutes to see if the bar would open up and it did. To be honest I like girly drinks and this place has a ton of good ones. Blueberry mojito was really good, The girl next to me was enjoying a key lime mojito. The Lobster bake was just right and honestly it was not too much food. A 1&1/4 lb whole lobster is actually not that much meat, it also comes with hot butter, a small cup of clam chowder, corn on the cob, and blueberry pie. The only complaint I would have is that the pie was cold. I would have liked it better if it was warmed up, still it was very good. Great crust to fruit ratio and good flavor. Probably the best I had on this trip of all the 6 different places I had blueberry pie at in Maine. The bartender, kitchen, and waiters were in good sync had a great working relationship so the drinks, refills, and food, deserts were coming out right on time.
