This place was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was a little too crowded and loud for our 1.5 year old but I think there was an event going on in the front of the place. I ordered the Ahi Tuna tacos and they are still making my mouth water! The clam chowder was decent too. Upon arriving they told us the wait was an hour so we walked around trying to find something else(nothing was open in April) and 15min later they called us back to a table. Score! We were excited to get little toys in our drinks (we had seen on yelp) and neither of us got one. It was upsetting. Both the blueberry giggle juice and the blueberry mojito were very good I will say. We both got the mini lobster bake. The lobster roll was so bad. It was stuffed with lettuce/mayo and the lobster wasn't fresh. 70% lettuce, 20% mayo, and 10% lobster. The clam chowder came in a tiny sauce bin and it wasn't good. The blueberry tart tasted like it was from costco. Can't believe it was $25. An outrage. I was really looking forward a great family dinner at Geddy's. But that was not quite what I got. Make a reservation! -- We had no problem making a reservation for 3 people the day before. Two days prior we tried to walk-in at 5:30pm for dinner (Sunday) and the wait was 2.5 hours. First impression -- Loud & crowded, but not as loud as some of the other downtown Bar Harbor eateries. I went to the bathroom as soon as we got there and proceed to badly cut the end of my thumb on the bathroom door latch. The hostess gave me a bandaid. Drinks -- We enjoyed beer, a mock-tail, and soda. UNTIL...I discovered there was a long brown hair floating is my drink. The other two folks hoped their drinks did not contain hair as well because they were both dark drinks & would not be able to see it. The waitress brought me a new (hairless) drink. Food -- T his was the HIGHLIGHT! We started with the Thai chili calamari. Fantastic & fried in their GF fryer! I had the fish & chip platter which was the BEST I had ever eaten. The tarter sauce had a bit of mustard in it which was amazing. My husband & daughter split a bowl of chowder & a pepperoni which they both enjoyed. We did not eat dessert there. Overall -- I would hesitate before returning to Geddy's for dinner again. I would have really like to have seen a manager wandering around the restaurant checking in. Both the hostess & waitress did what they could for my badly cut finger & hair my drink. But I was unimpressed with the lack of management presence. read more

This is the dominant seafood place in Bar Harbor. Right near the water, and the park across the street has the best view in town. There are other places, but folks line up here. It's worth the wait, whether you want to pick your own lobster or have something easier. I had the lobster stew and the seafood pie. Both were richer and more calories than I need, but wow! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Seriously this is another incredible spot for any food while In bar harbor. First-The location is right near the water with beautiful sights to see while you wait for a table. The location was really cool. More of a "pub" style to it but It has an amazing atmosphere. We got seated right away (table of 4) and we had plenty of space for us at our table. There's room for smaller and larger parties and a cool bar to hang out at. Second-The food was phenomenal. We are visiting and obviously lobster rolls are what we came for and this place had maybe the best one we had. We started off with the garlic mussels which were amazing. Really really good sauce. Not a huge order, more of a personal app. Our meals was 2 of us got the bacon jalapeño lobster roll which was AMAZING. It is a cold sandwich, they don't serve them hot but you can get hot melted butter. There was a good amount of lobster meat and the roll was toasted perfectly. I like spice but I didn't really taste any spice but the flavor with the bacon is amazing. One of us got the seafood pie which he loved. Cast iron dish and it was a pretty good size dish. My other friend got the lobster stew (big Bowl) and than got the fish and chips (haddock) and it looked really good. I love fish and chips and that looked probably the best I've seen. For the dessert we had to try their blueberry pie. Here's my thing. Still a 10/10. But the blueberry pie at side street was better only by the crust. That's the only thing that for me was better. We were very happy with most everything here. This is a cute, family oriented bar and restaurant decorated with a lot of memorabilia. We had oysters and a couple of drinks at the bar - everything was great including the service. We then had dinner at a table with our son where we had the buttermilk chicken sandwich, calamari, the lobster bake and fish and chips. The food came out in a flash and our waitress was lovely. The only thing I'd say could use improvement was that the fish from the fish and chips could have used more seasoning. The day me and my family went was end of April school vacation week, on a Saturday night. It was busy, but not crazy. The table where we sat were VERY close together with other tables that were all full. It was hard to squeeze into my seat because the person behind me had there chair right up against the back of mine. The service was very efficient. The waiter brought the drinks over super quick, and all them were decorated with little plastic animals hanging off the rims of the glasses. We got an elephant, a money and a lizard. The Shirley temple was enormous, and our cocktails (a cosmo and vodka soda) were regular size. The food was good, but not wow. There was a small error with the order which I take full responsibility for...I wanted the ahi tuna salad, not the special ahi tuna tacos...all I said was the ahi tuna, and the waiter assumed I meant the special. Oh well...the tacos were good, but I'm guessing the ahi tuna salad would have been better! My family got a burger and a fried chicken sandwich and both were good, but not wow. The food came out fast. The waiter was very attentive. This place is made for quick turnovers. We were happy. We went for a nice walk around town, along the path along the ovens, and around town. Pretty mediocre restaurant. Everything was pretty average, to be expected since this is such a tourist area. Came here for lunch one day, and we order the lobster salad, and the lobster roll combo to share. The lobster roll combo was pretty good included three items all of them were pretty small in terms of portion size. The lobster roll was OK, very small and the bread roll was a bit dry and not very tasty. The lobster salad special was terrible, for $30 you got a tiny little bit of salad and a tiny portion of lobster, it was smaller than an appetizer. Service was OK, could be spotty at times. There weren't strips of fried fish like I'm used to, but an actual fried fillet that was HUGE! The side of fries was also large. My friends got the shrimp scampi ($25), and seafood pie which they both really liked. We ordered a sliced of blueberry pie at the end, which was kind of small but hot and delicious ($7). My friend also got some sort of blueberry drink which she said was average. They had quite the array of sauces too. Service was good, ask for a window seat if you can!
