Excellent service with a lively atmosphere. Enjoyed our meal. Lobster roll was nearly perfect, but could have used a little more butter. Beyond that, everything was great. We'd definitely go back. read more

Good food. Very cool restaurant. I like the vibe at this place. You'll see large families and college students come to eat and drink here. We started with the Crispy Calamari with Sweet Chili Sauce and I thought it was excellent. I had the Shrimp and Scallop Scampi. It was pretty good. Service was good too. Price is what's expected for Bar Harbor. We didn't need reservations and were seated pretty promptly even though they were crowded. read more

Excellent food. Good service. Loved the atmosphere and variety of dishes. If your in Bay Harbor stop in and experience the local cuisine

My family and I were visiting Bar Harbor for the day and stopped here for lunch. I have allergies to dairy, eggs, and nuts, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of safe options. But our waiter, Tim, was absolutely amazing. He double-checked everything with the chef and made sure my meal was totally allergen-free--no cross-contamination, nothing. Thanks to him, I was able to try lobster for the first time ever, and I felt completely safe doing it. It honestly made my whole trip. The food itself? Incredible. We had one lobster bake and two lobster rolls, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The lobster rolls especially were packed with flavor and super satisfying. If you have food allergies, definitely let them know right away. They have a extremely detailed allergen booklet and can modify dishes to suit your needs. Super allergy-aware and very accommodating. Overall, a 10/10 experience--great food, amazing service, and a spot I'd recommend to anyone, allergies or not. read more

Cute, convenient spot that was walkable from our B&B. Restaurant gives off a cool, almost dive bar vibe. There are high top tables, seats at the bar, and conventional tables and chairs/ booths. We came on a Saturday and Sunday night (only a few restaurants opened during off season). On a Saturday night, we waited about an hour for a table for 2. We wanted to grab a drink while we waited, but the hosts denied us. Overall, food was good. Not overly delicious, but definitely hit the spot. Beers on tap and in cans, good variety of IPAs. Can't complain. Prices were a bit pricey for the food quality, but overall great experience! read more

Nice place for a casual dinner! Many different options, including seafood and pizza! Food was tasty and so were the drinks! Friendly staff!

The lobster roll and clam chowder were amazing, along with the French fries!! We walked down the street about 500 feet and found two restaurants on the water that offered the small menu at about half the price though. The nachos tasted funny and the shrimp didn't have much flavor so those two items were disappointing. The Nor'easter drink was SO GOOD - the giggle juice was just okay. The service was extremely fast - our food came out hot and within 10 mins of ordering!! read more

My wife and I had dinner at Geddy's last Friday (10/24). The staff was kind enough to let us move up our reservation a half-hour, and seate us right away. our waitress (Abbie, I believe) was very friendly and attentive, and gave us a very good flavor of the area as we were giving our order. The food came out quickly, and was terrific. The atmosphere in the restaurant has a very welcoming rock and roll vibe to it, and the energy in the place crackles. We will surely return to Geddy's when we come back to Bar Harbor next spring. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

A friend and I came in on a weekday evening and Geddy's was one of the few restaurants still open after 8pm. We were able to be seated right away and service was quick. I ordered the Quinoa, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, & Burrata and my friend ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke. My meal was just okay and my friend appreciated that they provided plenty of tuna in her meal. I'd probably come back in the future and try other items on the menu. This visit didn't blow us away, but is a good option if you prefer a later dinner. read more

I suspect, although I have no evidence to support it, that this place is hella-busy in-season. We went in Mid-April and it was easy to get seated and order. Our waitress was very attentive. The Lobster Bake included a delicious clam chowder which hit all the right notes of flavor, clam-density, and mouth-feel. 5 stars. The lobster came with claws and tail pre-scored so it was easy to open and easy to eat and waa very fresh. Texture A+, Flavor A+. The corn on the cob was sweet and cooked perfectly, delicious and fresh. Fish tacos were delicious and easy to eat. The blueberry pie was good (not great) but thats all personal preference. 5 stars overall. Highly recommended! read more

After a 4-hour long drive from Georgetown, MA, I prayed to baby Jesus something might be open. I searched savagely for places to eat in Bar Harbor and most came up as closed for the season and reopening in April or May. Geddy's on Main St- came up as closing at 8pm so we placed our pickup order about 45 minutes away. Restaurant seems large, has good pub looks with a nautical theme. Because of Maine's high COVID numbers, Geddy's is just doing a 25% indoor capacity as opposed to NY's 50. Even if we wanted to sit at the bar, Geddy's has no partitions but they strictly keep the 6' distance at the bar by skipping 2 high stools. Regardless of their '8pm closing', if we changed our minds to sit in, we realized Geddy's was still honoring folks who reserved before us. So pickup it was. Service was excellent by the guy in the front and our food was o......k. My Blueberry Lemonade was excruciatingly sweet and threw it away after the first sip. My Seafood 'pie' looked more like a ''deconstructed' pie or worse- a hot mess. I mean...it had small chunks of lobster, fish, scallops and shrimp with butter and cream notes. My mess tasted good though- but hubs' Broiled lemony-butter Haddock was better of the two. A scoop of jasmine rice was served on both our dishes- except rice was mushy. (~_~;). I'm sure this place comes with some cool backstory and has other presentable offerings. read more

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. It was a perfect dinner for us after exploring Acadia National Park all day. This place is a different world inside! It has a specific aura that energizes you the moment you feel it. We were pleased by the drinks Also the food was too good! We had a concern that the server was too occupied by her duties and couldn't attend us quick, although I wouldn't blame her for it. Rest assured, the place is a high recommendation for folks looking to dine in Bar Harbor. read more

This restaurant is amazing! We weee supposed to have a 2 hour wait but it only ended up being 15 minutes, which was great. It had lots of seating and was clean. Started off with our amazing drinks. Made a reservation online and very glad i did because there was a long wait. The place was packed which was not surprising given the central location. Husband ordered a Geddys special which was a cup of chowder, a lobster and corn and finished with a slice of blueberry pie- priced at around $55 which we thought was reasonable for the amount if food. I order the seafood pie. It was good, a lot of food again but I do not think i would get it if I came back. read more

Lobster was my husbands favorite dish during our trip to bar harbor. Clam chowder was also quite tasty! Also tried the Maine lobster roll (not pictured) which was good however I felt the charred corn that is on top overpowered the flavor of the lobster, so I could have done without that. Blueberry pie was also delicious! Our waiter was excellent and brought out my child's food first which was helpful. read more

Food was pretty good. I got fish and chips and the Painkiller cocktail. the fish and chips were good, fries standing out as a highlight. Fish was good too though just not like, super great. The cocktail though if you think about getting it - it's way bigger than you're expecting. like it's more like a bowl of Malibu rum. The service was fine but the atmosphere was definitely more leaning on the "bar with table seating too" side than on the "family seafood place that also has a bar" side of the vibe. My sister got the margarita pizza though and raved about it so that's worth trying for sure! read more

We stopped in here twice and sat at the bar both times. Michael and our other server were great. Ahi Tuna Fish Tacos were good. The Chicken Sandwich was as well. Beers are expensive, some much nicer places in town are cheaper somehow. They have a great gift shop that we got a few things from as well. Just don't ask for help, the girl told me that the sizes 4-5 on a pair of kids slippers meant it was for a kid 4-5 yrs old. That's not true at all, lol. By that logic, what size shoe is she? Maybe a 22? It was just funny, maybe just to me though haha. read more

Lobsta-fresh! Best meal we've had in bar harbor so far and VERY reasonably priced for what you get. My husband and I split the Cap'n Getty's lobster bake and mini lobster bake which gave us plenty of variety and enough delectable lobster for the two of us. The clam chowder was rich & creamy with plenty of clams. The pie that came with the Cap'n Getty's was big enough to split and came with two scoops of ice cream! The key lime martini was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere fun and casual. This place genuinely lives up to it's fame. read more

We tried to get a table for two on a Wednesday night but they were totally booked so we made a reservation for the following night at 7:15. We showed up on time and were asked to wait a few minutes for our table. We were seated right by the door where there were kids literally bouncing off of the waiting bench and a display light was turning on and off every other minute. It was far from a relaxing meal. In addition to the chaotic families around us the TVs at the bar were showing different news channels, with murder stories and debates on the vaccine. This is not what anyone wants to see on the TVs at a bar when they're on vacation. Our server was MIA most of the meal as we watched other tables around us get exemplary service. We ordered a couple of drafts, an appetizer and two entrees. The food looked kind of sloppy but it tasted a lot better than it looked. Bottom line is, I'm not sure why this is seemingly the most popular restaurant in BH. Maybe we were mislead and it's more for families with small children only. We'll probably pass next time we're visiting or consider Geddy's for takeout only. read more

What a fun place. We came on the last week of the season for the town, so we were very thankful They were open and we were pleasantly surprised by both the food and service! It was my first lobster bake, so I was a little intimidated by cracking a lobster, but our super sweet and awesome server made me feel so welcome and walked me through it. We have a great seafood scene along the gulf coast, but lobsters are not our thing, so obviously I had to do it while in ME. Delicious, perfectly cooked sweet meat. My wife really enjoyed the margaritas, and the calamari app was delicious with the sauce and veggie bed. Her fish and chips meal was also very well done. 5/5 will return the next time we are in Bar Harbor. read more

After an exhausting morning of kayaking, my in-laws were happy to find a Bar Harbor restaurant taking reservations so we wouldn't have to wait for a table. This definitely feels like a downtown-y bar that I'd frequent in my college days, complete with neon lighting and drink specials. We were quickly seated at a high top table for six. Our waitress was great, and all the staff members were friendly. Even though it was lunch, I had my eye on a spicy margarita. I love all their twists on the classic cocktails. The margarita was syrupy and not very strong, but I got a sufficient lunchtime buzz nonetheless. Would love to try the volcano bowl if I ever came here again. For actual food, I ordered the Bacon Jalapeño Lobster Roll. After a few days of eating disappointing lobster rolls, I decided to give it one last try. It was a little cheating because I could mostly taste the fresh jalapeños, but I enjoyed the cream sauce. Everyone else at the table seemed to give a three-star reaction to their respective dishes. Overall it's a reliable local restaurant in Bar Harbor with a variety of foods for everyone, from pizza to tacos. Whether you're here for happy hour or ending a night of drinking, Geddy's is a place (despite giving it three stars) I'd likely come back to if I lived in the neighborhood. It has more adult vibes vs. family-friendly, but it's great for seating large groups. read more

Reasonable food and good service. The food was overall okay. I ordered Ahi tuna poke which was okay. The sauce was a bit salty with no spiciness to balance out. The rice was not Japanese rice so it tastes very different than what I used to have. The tuna was not the bad. It did not taste very fresh. My friend ordered lobster roll and she said it was okay. I'm not one for spontaneity but I must say when it happens sometimes, great memories come out of it! Exhausted, famished, and craving pizza, I scrolled around Google Maps and landed on this spot. Geddy's was extremely crowded during dinner time, with many people coming in without reservations and being told to wait. I ordered 3 pies to go. The Lobster Pizza ($36) was not worth the price given the sparse amount of lobster, but it was still a delicious tame non-tomato pizza. The key point for me was the fresh arugula. The Meat Express Pizza ($20) was like your traditional comfort pizza, with a hotter temperature and just so much more flavor! We couldn't have gotten a more opposing pie duo, and I loved it. Lastly, we had the Blueberry Pie ($7) for dessert, which blueberries are actually quite popular in Maine. Personally, the pie just tasted really sweet to me. Maybe it was because I stuffed the pie in the fridge before eating, but there was a weird after taste. The blueberries also didn't have any flavor except to offer a mushy consistency. I'm still glad we didn't end up ordering traditional pizza and opted for this cool Maine restaurant instead. Everything was so fresh! read more

We were disappointed in our visit. After making reservations, ensuring I included we had someone in a wheelchair, we were seated at a tall table. Additionally, the restaurant is not handicap accessible. My father is in a motorized wheelchair. It takes up no more room than a normal wheelchair (not a scooter). We had to be taken around the block to come through the back door. It took the gentleman host and myself to help get his wheelchair up the ramped driveway given the rocky and uneven path. I can assure you, this wouldn't meet the American Disability requirement. This was a major frustration and bad start to the night. The food was ehh, nothing to write home about, and unfortunately we needed something wowing to overlook everything else. Finally, though we weren't expecting any type of comp, our waitress did say she was comping the two desserts for the table. When the bill came, she gave us $15 off, however the two slices of pie were more than $10 each. Again, it wasn't expected or needed, just another ding to the evening. I wouldn't recommend, especially for those that are handicap. read more

My friends whom we met in Newport told us not to miss Geddy's in Bar Harbor. Met some other friends in Bar Harbor and they suggested Geddy's also. So we all had lunch at Geddy's my wife had the Mini Lobster Bake, which was a Lobster roll, Clam Chowder and a blueberry Tart with the meal. I had the Fish & Chips which I highly recommend, they serve Haddock ( VERY LARGE PIECE) with their (F&C), a good white fish and a good substitute for COD. My wife enjoyed her lobster roll which she had been looking forward too this whole Cruise and very impressed with it at Geddy's.
