I've been going to Waterfront Lakes location for over 20 years. We ordered take out twice and what a disappointment! The first order they forgot ALL THE SAUCES ! We asked for our wings to be extra well done/crispy they were NOT! My steak and cheese was Tiny and hardly no meat, very sad. The second order they again did not cook our wings well done. Also our onion petals were soggy. We ordered two orders of fish and chips but was charged and given three orders. The fish was battered frozen fish sticks!!! Walking in at night it was a little warm outside so we decided to dine inside. It wasn't too busy so we were seated immediately. The server was nice and bought us our menus. They had a few drinks on sale like the Jack and Coke and a Blueberry Mojito which we ordered. The drinks were kind of on the weak side, as you can see the Jack and Coke looks very light and my mojito tasted more like mixer and juice. We ordered the Gators Combo Platter which they brought it out to us fast, and it was average. My sister and I stopped by Gator's Dockside for drinks and a quick bite, and it was a mixed experience overall. The Philly Cheesesteak was delicious--I'd definitely order it again! The onion petals were also a standout, with a perfect crispy texture and flavor. My sister ordered the seafood pasta, which she enjoyed, but I personally found the seasoning a bit too salty for my taste. The service is friendly, but it's been a bit slow on my last few visits. We usually have to flag someone down, and if you're not sitting at the bar, expect a longer wait for drinks. That said, they do offer decent drink specials, which is always a plus! If you're in the area, it's not a bad spot to pop into for a bite--especially on days when they have wing specials. It's also great for catching a game and hanging out for a while. This can certainly elevate the noise in the restaurant but I would still bring the family out as it is a very casual environment with booths away from the bar area. We came in for dinner after watching a Magic game and had a good experience. We sat outside in the lovely SoDo area. Our waitress was amazing and very nice. For food, I got the southwest egg rolls and fried pickles. Both were good. The pickles were hot with a good breading to pickle ratio. The southwest egg rolls had a good amount of filling and a bit of spice. It took a while for the food to trickle out of the kitchen, but otherwise it was a great time. read more

It's been a while since I found a sports bar with week night events EVERY night of the week. They have All You Can Eat Wings in 2024! The environment is typical grungy sports bar. Bathrooms always feel a little dirty but I appreciate they hang signs over the urinals so you know about upcoming events. I ordered 10 grilled wings, 5 Smokey BBQ and 5 Chipotle Honey BBQ. I liked the old menu that showed you the spice level. I've included new images of their menus and weekly specials. Overall a nice spot, good indoor and outdoor options, and a full parking garage to utilize. Service was very nice. I ordered ToGo from the bar and the nice bar tender let me know they have a formal take out station if I would like it to go faster or if I wasn't ordering a drink. Ambiance is great and the servers are attentive and kind. Have never been during a Saturday/Sunday for football but I could image the environment is very lively and fun. The food is pretty average, but definitely on par for this type of restaurant, sports bar vibe. Their appetizers in my option are the best options offered. I've never been a huge fan of Gator's, but went recently with friends since it was conveniently located for us. I was happy to see some menu items they didn't have the last time I was in! They added some lighter options and more fish items. I opted to try the superfood bowl which had sweet potatoes, kale, blueberries, tomatoes, edamame, cucumber, and choice of protein. I chose ahi tuna. It usually comes with quinoa as well, but they were out so they substituted rice for me. It was very tasty and filling! Other options that sounded good to me were ahi tuna with avocado and wonton chips and salmon skewers; I'd try those next time for sure. My bf enjoyed his fried gator tail and my friends shared the sampler platter. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our server was courteous, and our drinks were refilled regularly; however, I'm speculating their kitchen was short-staffed because the food took a while to be served. This resulted in additional orders for wings coming out slowly -- and the cycle of waiting took some patience. We also ordered burgers, and those entrees did not stand out. The patties did not seem fresh (perhaps frozen) and were underseasoned. If I were coming here just for drinks, bar food, and to hang out with friends or watch a sports game, Gator's would be fine. They're okay. Easy solid three with hospitality easily in the four sometimes five range. Honestly, I've eaten here way too often for lunch over the last few months with colleagues who seem to prefer liquid lunch. The food's okay, alright; not bad, just unremarkable is all. Burgers were okay. Cauliflower bites were nice. Cocktails tend to be weak, especially the specials. Even a double Captain neat seemed watered down somehow. Anyway, I guess it's all about the beer. Stopped in to eat lunch after a long morning. Was starving and the lunch rush was gone so the place was practically empty. The staff was friendly and there were sports on TVs on every wall. Once seated the wait staff took our drink orders immediately and then came back in a timely manner to take our lunch order. We talked until lunch arrived and sadly the music was so loud it was hard to hear anything. From someone who has a hearing impairment due to my military service this was annoying. They really should make the music, background music instead of allowing it to take center stage. The place was wheelchair accessible, except as usual most restaurants have tables that have a center leg with 4 "spokes" coming out of the bottom. This makes getting a wheelchair with a footplate very difficult to get under the table and you end up eating over your lap because you cant get close enough to move under the table. Very very frustrating and one of my biggest annoyances about public eateries. Speaking of accessible, the womens bathroom had an accessible stall BUT the automatic soap is so far off the ground that when you pit your arm under it, this machine automatically dispenses soap all over you. If I was shorter i would have had soap in my hair. UGH The food was typical bar food, nothing spectacular. I had the chicken BLT wrap which was dry, my husband had the breakfast burger and didn't finish it all which is very unusual, and our guest had a buffalo chicken salad which actually looked amazing. When I go back I will most likely try a salad. Overall I though the food was good for a quick lunch but it would not be my first choice. They do have a full inside/outside bar with lots of outside seating for a warmer day and this looks like it might be a great place for drinks and appetizers. Looks pike it would be packed on a Thursday night or Saturday afternoon to watch a football game. Do you like to wait over 40 minutes in an empty restaurant for your food to show up with zero communication about why it is taking so long? Then Gator's Dockside in SODO is the spot for you!!! We stopped by for a later lunch yesterday afternoon. We were seated right away but sat there waiting for a server for nearly 15 minutes. There were plenty of servers walking around complaining to each other but none of them were ours it seemed. Normally I would have left but we weren't in a rush so we waited. Our server arrived and apologized for the wait. We'd had PLENTY of time to review the menu so we were ready to order. We ordered 2 boneless wing platters with fries and the potato salad and two sodas. Our drinks were returned quickly and we were informed of an upcharge for the potato salad we said that's fine and that is the last time we saw our server Jasmin....after 30 minutes with no sign of our food or our server my partner went to try and find her, and found the manager. He explained we'd been waiting over half an hour and haven't seen our server once. About 5 minutes lasted our food came out and our server said, "I was told you're in a hurry so here's your check." That didn't go over so well. I said we weren't in a hurry but nearly 45 minutes waiting for food is ridiculous. She of course snapped an attitude back and said she'd bring me another soda (mine was basically full, and I didn't ask for one so believe I did not drink it because her vibe was that she'd spit in it or something). When she came back with the unwelcomed soda I apologized for being rude and she ignored me. At that point I just wanted to leave because clearly nobody there cared (the manager didn't apologize or ever check back after our food was delivered he just brought it out and left). Look, I've been a server. I get sometimes you are in the weeds or the kitchen is backed up. Given the restaurant was fairly empty other than the bar (which wasn't full) I doubt that was the case, but the simple act of communicating with your customers goes so far. Had our server come by even once to check on us, update us, ANYTHING... this situation although still frustrating would have not ended up with us feeling this way. I've never felt so disrespected in a restaurant before. Long story short, just don't. And if for some reason you do still end up there, skip the potato salad, it's not worth the upcharge. read more

We hadn't been back to this location in years, citing previous issues with service. This time around was unfortunately not an improvement. We asked for two beers with ice water. She brought just the beer. Pretty normal, no biggy. We both ask for sides of dipping sauce. She forgets both of them when she brings out the food, so we politely remind her. After waiting for her to take and put in the order of the table behind us, she brings out ranch, but gives us sweet chili instead of jerk. My partner ordered the "endless wing" Monday special, with half teriyaki and half traditional buffalo. The teriyaki somehow made it on the wings, and the other half came out bone dry. Yet again, we ask politely for another side of sauce. I got the shrimp poboy with sweet potato fries, it was well made and a solidly made entree. No notes on that one. ... Except that my partner also asked if she could get sweet potato fries with her wings. We later find out the server charged for a full $4 basket, instead of the minor upcharge my sandwich was given. By the end of it, she acted visibly aggravated and sarcastic with us. The probable cause being our fixing of her mistakes being perceived as just a "needy" table. We don't know if she was new. We gave her the benefit of the doubt and tipped 20%. With the promise of my writing this review, and the agreement that we'll never be back to this location. I eat at a Gators Dockside in my hometown pretty often and almost always order the same meal. For this location I placed a takeout order via their website. The wait time was quoted to be 20-25 minutes. After arriving the food wasn't ready and took almost 45 minutes. This is a Monday early evening and I see only 3 tables seated in the restaurant so I can't imagine the kitchen is slammed. The food is finally brought out by the host and the salad I ordered is missing an ingredient. I asked the host if the salad usually has tomatoes or not and he informed me no. I said ok and left, thinking maybe this location has a slight alteration to their menu than I'm used to. I checked the menu and it indeed has tomatoes in the description. There is also brown wilted lettuce in the salad. The whole experience was a bummer and I wouldn't return to this location. read more

This is your average sports bar. We came on a night that the dolphins and cheese are playing so the place filled up pretty quickly. Service was great attentive no complaints. Visited this gators with my buddy and his wife for trivia night. It was a pretty dead night. When I first arrived there was no host(ess) and no one really in sight. After waiting a couple minutes someone asked if I had been helped and then I was sat. Waitress came by and took my drink order (water). When my friends showed up we ordered food and drinks. The waitress wasn't the friendliest, but she did check on us, so I suppose that's alright. One of my friends ordered one of their speciality drinks but were unable to make it properly because they apparently had no mint. My friends food arrived probably 5 minutes before his wife's and mine. Once my food arrived the fries seemed very oily and were lukewarm as were the wingers. I'll admit the wingers were still good (Yucatán sauce) but would've been much better if they were warmer than room temperature. There's a couple servers we really like but the overall service and the quality of the food has really really gone down in Gators. This is what happens when you let your staff get cliquey especially when half of them are related. Everyone else feels powerless and stops caring. The floors are gross, the tables are sticky, behind the bar is well gross. Food runners don't know how to check the orders or use quality control. The food comes out looking sick. The cooks don't care, the manager doesn't seem to to care either. If your looking for run of the mill, less than average fried bar food then this is the place for you. BUT There are lots of better choices in the neighborhood. The wings are small, the pork chops over cooked, but the beer is cold. I'm wishing this space was occupied by a Millers alehouse or a BJs Brewhouse. We'll be making the drive from Sodo to either of these place before I go back here. read more

Ugh. Everytime i come here to dine im met with rude servers. The food is mediocre but overtime the queso has gotten worse. The sauces are soupy. I'm only giving it two stars because a month ago it was actually good. I don't know what they have done with their stuff. Our waitress, Samarra didn't check up on us. At all. We were done with our wings by the time she came. Our drinks were empty and we weren't provided with refills until the end. She then disappeared for another 10 minutes and then dropped the check off. We have been coming to this location for years now. The food is always good and the service is great. Plenty of seating and always fast and friendly. Specifically, Stacia the manager is fantastic. When we started going to this Gators several years ago she was regularly our server. She was a fantastic server and is now a fantastic manager there. She is always very friendly and responsive to anything needed. She regularly makes sure we have everything we need, checks our table, and will talk to us when we come in. All of the serving staff is great at this location and I would like to think its a representation of the quality of her management there. We can not say enough good things about this location, its employees, and Management. We will continue to come here regularly and enjoy it. read more

Let me start by saying I really want to like Gator's! I live close to this location and was drawn in by the outdoor bar top and late night hours. But after a handful of visits I struggle to find anything great about this restaurant. If you're going to Gator's, go for the beer, the sports and maybe the wings but nothing else. Aside from the wings, I've had mozzarella sticks (some missing the mozzarella), nachos, and sliders and I'd say they're barely edible. Not to mention, the service isn't all that great either.
