First time that I've had a gate so I reached out to Gate Doctors for maintenance. They were able to get me an appointment the next day. Mike was AMAZING. He took the time to explain the entire system to me, as well as what he would be doing and what kind of maintenance and other things to expect with owning a gate. He also answered some dumb questions I had and was so nice and pleasant. He was even super nice to my dog! Needed some help with my front entrance gate and found GATE DOCTORS on yelp. Phoned another company, but they were charging double for service call. My next choice was GATE DOCTORS. Little far from our home, but they were ok, to come down past south Austin. THANK YOU. CHRIS took my call and was polite as professional as well. He seemed to understand the problem too. The was a guy that came out yesterday, but I was not here. My appointment was made for today and gentleman arrived early which was fantastic, so I could get back to my business. Michael Llamas parked outside the gate in front of my estate. He was professional and knowledgeable in his electrical work. Very honest and let me understand what was going on in the electrical box with circuit board, battery etc. Also, he was polite and patient with me as he knew my husband passed away not too long ago. As an electrical mechanical head engineer, my husband, Bobby could fix 99% of things at his profession throughout U.S.A. as International. Of course, here if needed. Now, I have to trust other men to sometimes come out to help here if need be. GATE DOCTORS is the best and honest. I WOULD RECOMMEND GATE DOCTORS company IN A FLASH!!!! Qualified men who get to the problem right away and courteous. Makes all the difference when you are working with many different customers. Take a look at the attached photos. Steve and Victor came out to our house and knocked out what amounted to almost a full replacement of our gate. They were efficient, speedy without being hasty. Both men were very friendly, and I spent the time of the installation digging a trench for the power cables. I was actually digging the cables because the good folks at gate doctors had told me it would be far cheaper for me to dig my own 18 inch trench than to have them do it! Once Stephen Victor were finished with the hard part of our program welding and measuring and bolting, they took the time to walk me through every piece of the gates operation. I now know how to set the timer on the gate, how to connect remote controls, and even am able to use my gate with Wi-fi. Suffice to say I could not recommend gate doctors highly enough to anyone looking to repair a gate or put in a new one. read more

I called to schedule an appointment. On the phone they were so helpful he gave me a suggestion to try to fix it myself. I tried it, it worked! I needed a secure gate to my back yard and these guys hit a home run. I needed a solid metal solution with an electronic gate access and I needed it on a budget and what I have is an amazingly functional secure gate that anyone can afford. These are good ole boys with craftsman skills who treat you like family. My job as small, less than $5000, but they treated me like I was Michael Dell. Now, a $4000 electronic gate might seem expensive, but this is a work of art that will last forever. On top of that I found this company very reasonably priced. I switched from a company that we had been using for years because they were slow to return my phone calls and kept postponing scheduled service calls. We needed a gate installed quickly because we wanted our new puppy to be able to roam the yard during the day versus being cooped up in the house all day. We needed it fast. Evan sensed the urgency and was able to squeeze us in their schedule within a couple of days. They were in and out in a day. We love the gate and the installation. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 was because I felt they could have sold me more, i.e. the extra entry fab. We had to go out and buy it elsewhere. No biggie and I'm sure Evan didn't want to pressure us into buying more stuff but it would have been more convenient. Regardless, the customer service was amazing and we love the gate. read more

We hired Gate Doctors in Austin to build and install a gate for a commercial property. The gate never worked properly. They came out twice to adjust it but never got it working, and then told us they were going out of business due to COVID and wouldn't be able to help us. We had two other gate companies look at it and both of them told us the gate built by Gate Doctors didn't meet code and was poorly constructed. We had to hire another company to build a new gate. If they're still in business, based on our experience with them I don't recommend Gate Doctors. There are other better, reputable gate companies in the Austin area. read more
