After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

I felt it was important I updated my review as a lot has happened to the deck in the 3 years since…read morethey put it in. Though the deck looked good initially in just 3 years it is rotting away and we just now realized to what extent. It got in such a bad state we decided to have someone redo the whole deck. When they took off the top boards the frame itself had half rotted away (including the whole frame for the steps) and we realized it could have caved under us at any time. In the attached picture you will see the current state of the frame. Half of it has rotted away. We initially used them because they were the best price and they did work fast and were flexible to our requests. However, the tradeoff seems to be they used poor material. It was either not pressure treated or leftover material they got from a building being constructed that isn't meant to be used for a deck. I can't confirm but regardless proper material shouldn't rot like this in just 3 years. I write this to warn you to make sure they are not skimping on the materials as this can become a safety hazard.

Their prices are very fair, and we were able to get the service done the same day. We had three guys come out and they worked so hard and had incredible attention to detail. Seriously, we've gone through three different lawn services in our yard has not looked as good ever. We had weeds pulled by hand, hedges trimmed and shaped, a tree cut back, and hazardous branch removed from a large tree and hauled away. These guys were also so neat. everything was collected in reusable bags as they worked, and when done it was packed up . They even used leaf blowers to get all the small pieces away after. I had used Chem-Free before for a different service and like how they use more natural products for…read morepest control. I needed them to take care of some German cockroaches who came in from a houseguest's things. It's a special treatment needed and not like regular pest control. I think the cost was about $350. They've come back 3 times so far every two weeks.The cycle for roaches is that quick and some of the treatment is to use the gel to bait them and they go back to the nest with it and it makes them sterile. I hope we are finally successful now in getting rid of these bugs. The tech treated on the first visit all around the perimeter of the house and then came inside and sprayed in the main areas where they were and also put gel and boric acid in strategically placed areas like the kitchen outlets and underneath kitchen appliances. It's been over a month now and all I've found are dead roaches. I have cats, so they were put in a bedroom away from the spray for several hours just to make sure everything had dried and the air was clear. The multiple treatments appears to be successful but those roaches are sneaky. I cleaned out all the bottom cabinets and washed everything and put small appliances out on the deck for 24 hours in case they were hiding in there. They will come back again if needed as part of the treatment if needed but it'll be to add gel and boric acid and not anymore spray. I think it's for two months guarantee and then it'd be a regular treatment overall at the quarterly treatment. No contract was needed. The technician has been very accommodating and informative about what was being used. I'm pleased with it and well worth it to call in the professionals for this. Roaches crawling over who knows what is so disgusting and my sprays and traps weren't doing the job properly. It gives me peace of mind to know that bugs haven't been near where food is for us or the animals.
