06FEB2026 morning of my step daughter's wedding. Go out check my propane level and I'm down to 18%. I call my propane company if the last 10 years, and they tell me they are three weeks out to fill. Normally they do come out the next day. They tell me since I own my tank to go try somewhere else. Panicked, I start calling around. It's the coldest in a long time around here, and no one is picking up. I leave messages as I get ready for the wedding. Eric from Gastec calls back and after a few forms they tell me they'll be out as soon as possible. Two days later, worrying I may of messed up waiting so long they came out and filled the tank! $10 hazardous charge and lower price from my other supplier. I will definitely be using them again!!! I switched from Amerigas to Gastec for my propane delivery. I can't stress how great the customer service is with Gastec compared to Amerigas as well as their pricing, not to mention the quick deliveries. Amerigas quoted me at OVER $3.30 per gallon while Gastec charged me $2.59 when propane and oil prices have been at their highest. If I have a question or a concern, I simply call and these people actually take the time to try and see how we can reduce my heating costs. Gastec is our 3rd Propane supplier in 16 years. Today the Installation Tec, Troy, showed up on time (Very important in my opinion) and did a fantastic job. Shortly after installation of the outside tank, and while Troy was busy getting both our fireplaces up and running, the tank was topped off by the delivery guy. (He was here and gone so fast I didnt get his name). Troy was very thorough and professional. He took the time to go over safety tips and features. Though I paid him today for the installation, I was told I can pay the balance(for the actual propane) within 10 days. Numerous payment options are available. Gastec is excellent. I was getting sick of dealing with Suburban and called Gastec to see about purchasing tanks. When I moved into my home, there were already rented Suburban tanks installed, so we just went with it. The cost was ridiculous and they deliver more frequently than needed, which means lots of extra safety and delivery charges. When I called Gastec, I was put in touch with Eric who was very thorough in gathering info on our usage and recommending how to proceed. We worked out the math together and determined that buying tanks would not be worth the cost savings on the fuel. He told me everything I needed to know to switch over from Suburban. When my tanks were sufficiently low, I called him to schedule delivery of new tanks from Gastec. I called on a Friday afternoon, locked in a price that had Suburban beat by 50 cents a gallon, and had the tanks installed Monday morning at 8 am. Our installer was James Brady and he was also great. James cleaned out the tank area (including some overgrowth, leveling out the ground, putting in new pavers to elevate the tanks), set everything up nicely, tested for safety, and answered all of my questions. He was very kind and polite and not at all annoyed when I sent him on a wild goose chase for my gas hot water heater which actually turned out to be an electric hot water heater (oops!). James also alerted me to a safety issue with the way the tanks had been enclosed (to be fair, I don't think Suburban did this, but they also never told us it was a problem). About 10 minutes after James left, a Gastec fuel truck arrived to fill the tanks. Amazing! I was honestly dreading the switch over before I called Gastec because I was sure it would be difficult and time consuming or that I'd end up with another company ripping me off, but all those thoughts were put to rest when I called Gastec. It really could not have been easier. In the end, the hardest part was waiting for my fuel supply to run down so that I could have the new Gastec tanks installed. Eric helped me make the right decision on rent vs. buy and made the process quick and easy. James did a great job on the install. The best part: Not only does Gastec have incredible customer service, they also have better pricing. You really can't do better than that. And while it sounds like I was paid to write this review, I assure you I was not. They are just that good. read more

A whole year later when my supplier let me run out of gas and then charged me over $4.00 a gallon did I say enough is enough and called Gastec. What! Just wanted to say I had an excellent experience on a recent service call (11/12/21) at my home in-law suite. Both Jim and Josh were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in relocating my propane tank that was moved in July to allow for my deck to be rebuilt. Jim went over and above to ensure the tank was repositioned safely and level and to my satisfaction. He also checked the line for leaks and went so far as to ensure the line was properly feeding our heating system and making certain the system was operating properly with the propane feed. This piece of mind and service excellence is often overlooked and unrecognized but I'd like to ensure that this experience is known and say that this is what keeps customers like myself from ever considering a switch to another propane provider. I recently had a brief encounter with Bruce's Propane which was a nightmare. When I called to inquire/set up delivery service the message stated that in spite of the propane shortage, they were pumping away. Great! I left a message. That's where it all came unhinged...the man that returned my call yelled at me on the phone that he could barely service the customers he already had due to the current propane shortage. I explained to him that I had been lugging my tank there for years so in effect I would not be putting a strain on their stock. NOPE! Can't do it. WOW! So I drag my tank over to get it filled. Guy that filled it did not want to hear what I experienced. As a matter of fact he informed me that propane would be going up to $5.00 a gallon the folllowing week due to the shortage. YIKES! Then it dawned on me! I had spoken with GasTec years ago for a regulator. They were still in Levittown at that point. I got smart and made the right call! Eric was a joy to speak with and he answered all of my questions and set me up for the next week. DJ just left after doing the install which took half of the approximated time given! YAY! We recently shifted from Suburban Propane, which in recent years left much to be desired, to GasTec after recommendations from electrician Dan Harrison and nearby friends. The installation crew (Tom, Ryan and backhoe operator) replaced our aging 500-gallon underground tank, redid various lines and connections, and replaced three dated regulators. They couldn't have done a more thorough and tidy job, and maintained a positive attitude throughout a series of teeth-gnashing unexpected hurdles from our old setup. When they finished, every detail was up to modern standards that met or exceeded current code. The installation was preceded by helpful assistance and regular house visits from sales rep Gerry Marcucci. Like a mother hen, he guided us through the months leading up to installation, and afterwards worked with Suburban to dispose of our old tank. Pricing has been excellent, too -- a far cry from our earlier supplier. For those, like us, with a propane generator, there's another benefit: GasTec has a proven track record of making deliveries even during major storms and outages. Bottom line, there is a can-do attitude with this company that is rarely encountered anymore. And that positive corporate culture doesn't come at a cost premium, but rather with sharpened-pencil pricing -- a combination that's impossible to beat. read more

Gastec came highly recommended from a number of residents in my community and they certainly lived up to the hype! Starting with the initial consultation with Eric, who was very thorough in getting us the right propane service, and James, our installer who was just as thorough with the entire installation process. The Gastec team went above and beyond after a leak was found in our attic and got us set up with a maintenance company the same afternoon. Gastec quickly returned the following morning to finish their job. All in all, this service is above and beyond anything we received in the decade or so we spent with our old propane service company and at a significantly lower rate.
