Terraced seating with Birds Eye views of all sorts of plant life unique to our region, kumquat, palms and all sorts landscaping bushes which provide cover for sparrows keeping an eye out for crumbs and tidbits! The parakeets and other birds in an aviary delight children and those young at heart! Come here for the Quiche! Nothing on the menu measures up to the awesome Quiche! If we are not mistaken it's the only place you can enjoy Quiche in Yuma! The Vegetable quiche has minimal quantity of vegetables in it mostly one would notice bits of spinach. The Southwest Quiche comes with salsa. Both are served with "Fruit Bread" aka cinnamon bread and a serving of fruit! Wait staff seem a bit confused, overtly double checking each others customers and their own... the constant interruptions can be annoying. Perhaps merely attending to the removal of waste and empty plates and refilling beverages would be better use of their time. read more

I wish I could put this place as a 0 star, the manager is an absolute scammer who doesn't properly pay her employees, the food is kind of expensive and I could make it better in my own kitchen. My friend and I made reservations for lunch, just in case. There were plenty of tables & we were seated right away. One of the male serves kindly put the heat lamp on for us. Our server was fine, & was more friendly when it came time to choose our sandwich with soup combo. Our food came out quickly and everything was good. Garden Cafe is another one of my favorite restaurants in Yuma, and I always make sure to come here when I'm in town! The service is so friendly, as my family knows some of the servers personally and will give them hugs! The food here is delicious as well, and they are known for their tortilla soup! The soup is super flavorful and has loads of tortilla and avocado in it! My girlfriend and I also split the tri tip plate, which comes with 4 pieces of tri tip, a side salad, beans (black or pinto), salsa, and tortillas! By splitting the plate, this was just not enough food for me, so I ate the rest of an asada burrito which was really good! The only reason I'm hesitant on giving it 5 stars is that the portion sizes aren't the biggest, but the food is of top quality! definitely check it out if you're in the area, and I can't wait to be back! read more

So let me start by saying the staff there are very attentive friendly and constantly make sure you're taken cared for. The restaurant is such a peaceful atmosphere and bird watching while you eat is an experience I found very entertaining and peaceful. It's small but cozy and a nice change from your typical eatery. The food is going to be hit or miss however. The chicken sandwich is mushy as it doesn't have enough texture to it and is unfortunately bland. They do offer to toast the bread for you and with a pinch of salt you might fare better than I did. The tortilla soup is not bad however it quickly becomes a bowl of mush as well. The turkey sandwich is pretty basic and there's really nothing I found that I couldn't whip up at home if not better. The star for me was their red potatoes salad. Hands down best in Yuma. I will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes as I'm sure I'll find something great; however my first experience was not as memorable as I hoped. read more

One of our favorite places to visit when we are in town. There are so many choices. This time I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and DH had the half sandwich and soup. My taste buds might be changing, but the chicken salad wasn't very flavorful. This is an outdoor cafe. They have propane heaters, and a covering for shade. The seating is on a terraced area so steps might be required. The service is great, refilling coffee, tea and water without having to ask. We didn't feel rushed even though the place was filling up. Beautiful outdoor garden seating. They have an upper area in the sun and a lower patio covered by a colorful tarp. I had the vegetable quiche and it was outstanding. It came with huge pieces of fruit and a massive slice of coffee cake. There are lots of regulars who know the staff and visitors are treated like family. read more

The Garden Cafe is just that a Cafe in a garden. It's absolutely beautiful and the menu is pretty good. The staff is top-notch and adds to the ambiance of the popular eatery. You sit outside underneath the shade of trees and surrounded by nature. It's peaceful and the food is absolutely amazing especially their desserts. A beautiful outdoor garden which is a perfect setting for brunch. I think that I will order from the regular menu rather than do the buffet again next time. For about $20, I feel that the buffet offerings left much to be desired. I will say, though, the grilled beef and chicken were both delicious. The rest of the buffet was, unfortunately, not so exciting. The service was generally good and timely even when it was clear that there were a few new servers who were still going through training. Special mention--there are small shops in the same location, but I didn't see them open on that Saturday that we went for brunch. read more

A beautiful little garden restaurant with great food. We had our dogs in the car so we had to pick up to go. The restaurant is on terraced levels with canopy of trees and plants around you and birds flying near by. Absolutely loved the ambiance. Every year when it's open I go, I enjoy their breakfast and lunch both are veryyyy yummy. They use quality ingredients but service has gone downhill! On 3 different recent occasions service has been horrible, I was the second table there and it took alittle over 30 mins for pancakes, eggs bacon and an order of eggs Benedict (after waiting 15 mins to get our order taken). On top of that we had to remind our server twice for our drinks. Spend your money somewhere else! Sad to go but service really does it for me. read more

Set in an open-air garden behind the Sanguinetti House Museum, it's a delightful place to have a tasty breakfast or a leisurely Sunday brunch... that is, if you're not a vegan, which I am. Most dishes have meat or dairy in them, and although they were willing to adjust a few menu items, the majority of the offerings would not lend themselves to being vegan-ized. Go prepared for that if you're not an omnivore! My 3-star rating is directly related to the lack of non-meat/dairy menu items. Otherwise, the food is good, the service is reliable, and the location is divine. I seemed to have enjoyed it more in the past. It would be so much better with some salsa bandera and guacamole, at least. The turkey burger is pretty bland as well. Oh, I fell in love with this place. Situated near old town Yuma, by city hall. Easy to locate using navigation system. Right next to a cute home/museum that would love to visit next time we are in town. We picked this place because of the birds they have. Unfortunately it was freezing cold and windy that wednesday. We were completely unprepared for the weather but our hot chocolates and coffee kept us a bit warm. The ambiance is so relaxed and cozy. Like going to your grandma's backyard for breakfast. We had a large party right before us, so we were given free refills on the hot cocoas for free for waiting for our orders in the freezing wind and temps. Kuddos to the lady who moved us inside when the spots opened and not kept us in the table outside by the birdies. Loved that they kept their menu simple. The inside seating is even cozier that the patio and makes it for an intimate family breakfast experience without the "restaurant" feel. As far as food goes, absolutely superb. Wowza, who knew that a breakfast croissant could be so mouth watering. Super flaky and buttery deliciousness was melting in my mouth. Served so simply with some generous amount of fruit. This was our first visit to the Garden Cafe and we really enjoyed ourselves. We were able to be seated right next to the birds and enjoyed watching them while we waited for our food. We could have gotten the buffet like we saw many people did but we were not as hungry. It did look stunning and we intend to try it on another return. We each had the oatmeal pancakes with raspberry puree on the side. We took some fruit bread home with us that was yummy as well. Are bacon was on point, as it should be! Overall, we really enjoyed the ambience and our waitress was wonderful. The restaurant is in close proximity to a few cute shops, hair studio, and yoga studio.
