    Party policy

*posting my google review on here too* My husband and I visited this venue for bowling for a date and had a great time, so we decided to book a birthday party. I made the reservation online on 2/9/25 for a party on 2/23/25. The day after booking, a party planner called to confirm details, including my selections for food, drinks, and decor. I was specifically told that additional food could be ordered at restaurant prices during the party, while platters required four days' notice. However, when we arrived on 2/23, we quickly saw that two pizzas weren't enough and went to the front desk to order two more pizzas and a platter of fries. The front desk staff told us we couldn't order additional food unless we purchased a buffet. This was completely different from what I was told when I booked the party. When I brought it up, I was told, "Sorry, the policy changed last week." I was shocked that such a policy change affecting my booking wasn't communicated to me. Had I known, I would have ordered buffets for the whole party in advance. I asked to speak with the Supervisor, after waiting 10 minutes for him to come he insisted that there was nothing he could do. That's when I got very upset and stressed again that I never received any communication regarding this sudden change. He said that the kitchen manager called all parties to inform them and possibly sent an email. I asked for proof of this supposed call/email because I never received one notating any changes to my booking, but they couldn't provide any record. The supervisor then said that to order pizza, I'd need to open a tab--but opening a tab, according to him, "takes days." My husband paid the balance of the party (which closes our original tab) when we arrived and no one told him if he closed that tab we were basically banned for ordering additional food and could only purchase buffets. (No where on the contract does it say that either) I explained that I wasn't asking for anything free, just trying to pay for food, and their lack of communication had put me in a difficult position. After 15 minutes of back-and-forth, the Supervisor with an annoyed tone said "I'll go ask the Kitchen and see if they will" making me feel bad for just trying to purchase food. They finally agreed to let us order the extra food, but by then, it had already cut into the kids' playtime, making the experience frustrating. I was appalled that I had to what it felt like, beg your supervisor to let me purchase food for 8 hungry kids. Later I checked my email and found the contract they sent me on 2/21 (2 days before my event), which clearly stated that additional food could be ordered during the party at restaurant prices. Nowhere did it mention a buffet requirement. In the end, the supervisor admitted they push the buffet to get customers to purchase it. Gametime Management: If you read this, I strongly urge you to train your employees to be more empathetic toward customers and to clearly communicate your policies. Your so-called "supervisor" is poorly trained and lacks the basic skills needed for good customer service. Here are the photos of the contract emailed to me on 2/21. I encourage you to read it --you'll see that nowhere does it state that a buffet is required for parties or that additional food cannot be purchased after the original party tab is closed. I also want to mention that I thoroughly reviewed my call log and emails just to make sure I was 100% correct before posting this review. and of course the only phone call that ever came through was on 2/10/25 at 5:14pm from that party coordinator named Jillian and the last email I received was on 2/21 with the contract attached in the photos. This whole experience was poorly handled, and I wouldn't recommend booking an event here unless they improve their communication and customer service. The venue itself is amazing, they have such great games and activities to do... the staff not so much. Except for Joy in the bowling alley/bar area she deserves a raise and that very rude supervisors job.

    Birthday party.

This is my absolute favorite weekend, getaway, and has become a staple in my itinerary. The atmosphere is always friendly, 5/5 every employee at a place like this, should have to first come train at it'z. The food is fantastic, 5/5 there is so much to do, the bowling lanes are great, 5/5 oiled just right, and well always taken care of, Music, is a 5/5 The General manager, Kari Echols has always gone above and beyond, to reassure everyone has a fantastic experience, every time we go. If you're in the area, (even if you're not.) if you're planning a birthday party, or just looking for some smiles and ALOT of fun, Go spend the day at "It'z." You wont be disappointed. (I take bowling very serious).

We were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience at IT'Z, we were a bit hesitant as we read a few reviews pre-visit that seem to be in complete contrast to our experience. The food was not great but good enough as far as I am concerned. Keep in mind this is a buffet restaurant focused towards birthday parties, parties and events tailored around kids and young adults, that's not to say that adults don't have just as much fun because I know I did. In my experience the facility was reasonably clean, as previously mentioned the food was good, they have a nice bowling alley and the arcade was top notch compared to some others in the area. Their Buffet is quite extensive including salad, pizza, no less than three different pastas, baked potato with all of the toppings, chicken nuggets, tater tots, corn dogs, soups, and dessert. To be completely fair & candid yes there are some areas that could use some improvement on their part. for instance some of the food more specifically the desserts were a bit old and stale, probably because they had been sitting there for too long and The nozzles for their dressings are a bit disgusting and look like they hadn't been cleaned properly Why four stars and not five: while the food was good their attention to detail is lacking losing them a star. *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Good Service. Good Cleanliness.Good Consistency. N/A Variety. Great Value.Good I am desperate for your attention so please like, Follow and comment.

I had a BOGO for the buffet and two drinks, and we were joining my friend and her son so we had no plans to play any games just came to visit and hang out. They had plenty of choices of pizza, salad and toppings, little desserts it was overall good and plenty of drink choices for all the adults and kiddos. I think the gaming part and adding money to the cards was a lot because my friends son only played a few games and he was out of coins/points whatever it was because the worker didn't explain what she was selling her. I would go back again if I had a deal and was going for an occasion.

Tokyo Station is the sister location to Free Play Arcade, the groundbreaking bar/arcade concept…read more This location used to be a Free Play Arcade but has now been converted to a Japanese arcade theme destination. If you're expecting old school arcade games like Free Play Arcade, you'll be disappointed. If you want to be transported to Japan via Arlington, read on. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Step into the world of the Japanese arcade. As you walk in, you'll notice claw and Gachapon machines tempting you to play and win something. There's Japanese pop music piping through the speakers, and a dedicated room full of imported Japanese arcade games add more sounds. There's also a dedicated bar and dining area. It was relatively empty at 12:30 PM on a Friday. But it's also simply INCREDIBLE if you're into Japanese culture. You're not in DFW anymore. 2 Star. Service - There's a friendly bartender, if you want to order drinks (I did not). Otherwise, you place your order at a kiosk, grab a numbered puck, and then grab a seat. When your puck starts making a sound, your food will be ready at the windows. Heads up, if you leave you table unattended the staff with clean up so others can sit. They're very efficient. 1 Star. Food - Let me first say, if you're looking for the Free Play Arcade experience, you will be disappointed. If you're looking to be transported to a Japanese arcade (me) this place is awesome. The kiosks are very straight forward; you can order packaged ramen to ramen made in house. I went with the Street Tonkatsu. The broth was mild (not overly salty), and the pork belly was very tender. I also ordered the Tokyo Station Tacos. The JBBQ pulled pork was surprisingly tasty, but I couldn't help but long for a Chinese Bao instead of a tortilla. But what impressed me the most was the booth we sat in. It was connected to a monitor, and we could access a bunch of SNES games. 1 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes! Tokyo Station is my kind of jam. The only thing that gave me concern is that it wasn't very busy on a Friday. I hope this concept stays, because it's the closest thing to a Japanese arcade besides flying to Japan. 1 Star.

There were a few games that were the American version but only a few...Galaga and Pacman were the ones that I noticed. They did have a decent selection of pinball machines...however they are NOT included in the free play. I was a little surprised but also disappointed that pinball was extra... The cost for the "free play" is a little pricey compared to Cidercade...if we are comparing size and what's included. I also think that it helps to have an interest in japanese video games, which I do not. This is a really small arcade which did make it hard to move around and there were lines for the popular games, unfortunately, the overall experience was not really that exciting. The service at the bar was the great, the bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. There is a separate area for the free play and the kids working the counter were mostly on their phones unless someone walked up to them.

We had heard a lot about this place, so we decided to take my 12-year-old son here for his birthday…read morewith three of his friends and it was a huge hit. This is the perfect spot for kids (and honestly adults too) to burn off energy. It's a mix of human interactive video-style games and physical activity like throwing balls, jumping, running...spread across different rooms with all kinds of challenges. You definitely can't come here low-energy because you'll be moving the entire time. I booked online and chose the 90-minute option, which was $39 per person. It might seem a little pricey at first, but it actually works out well because of how the timing is structured. You rotate through rooms and sometimes wait briefly for a game to finish, so everything feels organized and not chaotic. The setup is very efficient. You get a wristband that you scan to enter games, track your points, and even create a username. There's a leaderboard screen, which the kids loved, and you can earn points toward small prizes. The whole place felt clean, well-run, and supervised without being overbearing. The floors are cushioned, which helps since you're constantly moving, and it does get a little warm just because you're so active. From what I could tell, the party setup is more of a do-it-yourself style where you have a room for a set time rather than a fully hosted experience. Also, it seems per the website you would have like food delivered. There didn't appear to be a place where you could buy water. However, we did see water fountains near the restrooms. One thing I liked is that your time is based on active gameplay, not just the clock. So while we booked 90 minutes, we were actually there closer to two hours with the flow of the games. Overall, it was a really fun and unique experience, something different from the typical party spots. The kids had an amazing time, and we would definitely come back.

After using an online promo code for a slight discount, they were about $25 per person for around 60 mins of game play time. Check-in was also quick and easy in the lobby, where they gave us wristbands to play with and we quickly set up new player accounts at the kiosks since it was our first time here. The games are super fun and I loved the way it was set up so that you and your group have the rooms to play on your own, then if another group is trying to use the room it'll have you exit after your current game ends to allow them to enter the room. I loved all the games here and found them to be so entertaining, challenging, and FUN!!! My personal favorites were probably the Maze and Hoops ones - so exciting to try and get to the next level while also being GREAT EXERCISE!! It makes me very pleased to see a place such as this for young people (or anyone) to visit and have some activity and fun. Activate Games is a great way to not only have a super fun time with family and friends, but also to get really good exercise in while at it and also engage in some mentally stimulating, challenging game play!!
