I went in with a few Pokémon games that I wanted to trade in to get Madden 26. My pro membership has been dormant for a while because it wasn't worth it to renew it. The trade in value I got for my games was $68 which was perfect because that's basically all I needed for Madden. However, the man behind the counter said "let me try something". He renewed my membership to make the value of the games $88 which paid for the membership itself and the game I wanted to buy, and I had to pay nothing out of pocket. Just because one man went above and beyond at his job. Gamestop if you see this, give the man who was working at 7:45pm on 08/24/2025 a raise. read more

I visited again recently , the store looks good . Well organized . This is the only GameStop store I go into and see their wall of Funko product all organized . I bought 4 pops , got one half off . The guys that helped me I think were management but they were awesome . It's the first time in a long time where I went into a GameStop and didn't feel pressured to buy a Pro card or forced to get warranties . These two guys , I think Chris and Steve were just having fun . It made the experience better . Fast forward I went back to the store the following day to reserve a pop and the experience was different . Different guy helped me and he was kinda blunt and rude . The experience definitely depends on who is working I guess . They would get 5 stores if I received the same service with different employees . My experience waiting for a drop at this location. On saturday, May 10, I waited in line for 5 hours at 5 am by myself to get the prismatic etb, tech sticker, and tins to open for the first time. I was 16-19th in line, meaning I was supposed to get two etb's because the limit was two per person and there were 38 etb's. I walked out with only two tech sticker packs for my sister n I because of the two limit AND people cutting in line. The person directly in front of me was supposed to get two etb's as well, but they ran out just before her, meaning I definitely should have gotten mine as well since so many cut. There were many people who showed up around 9 am and just slowly walked and blended in with their group towards the very front of the line near the door. The people who cut in line in front of me brought more family members, even young children, who got two etb's as well. So the one person who was two spots in front of me brought three more people after I was already in line, and ended up buying 8 etb's. When other customers behind me informed a worker the people in front cut, they did nothing but look at us and continue to ring them up! When I got up and was informed they ran out, he started to apologize and just took their names out of the raffle for a single card they were doing, but that doesn't solve the problem. It is irritating that the scalpers won again because the limit did nothing. I assumed this store would end up doing one item per person because if that was done, basically the whole line would have gotten one! (Got longer closer to opening) I never write reviews but this was so upsetting. Other gamestops limited to one per person, needed a pro membership, etc, but this one didn't do anything even though they know scalping is a problem. As for the workers in general, most are pretty nice, but I've walked in and left when a couple of the workers were conversing without being acknowledged at all, and I mean like a simple Hi or even look my way. I don't expect them to stop their convo and help me right away but not being acknowledged when walking into your establishment is weird behavior as a retail worker. Still bought my two packs tho because I wasn't going home after waiting 5 hours without anything. Thinking about it, there isn't anything the workers could have really done to the cutters besides limiting it to one per person since they can't guarantee who was there or not. If you want to wait, TAKE PICS OF WHOS IN LINE WHEN YOU GET THERE and maybe show them when they arrive. Personally don't think I'll shop at this location again. read more

This is a good store with great people! Manager Daniel and the staff member Jenna helped me out last week. I ordered a Nintendo switch online for same day delivery by 8pm ( I would never recommend using that feature) when 8pm came around no delivery was made Daniel helped me get my discrepancies squared away with the online order and helped me get a switch so that my 2 kids could play Mario kart. tried a new controller from here, informed that if i didnt like it i could replace controller i bought with anything of equivalent cost so ... no risk. Controller poops out on me, I take it back, they tell me they could only exchange same exact bad product. I asked what about what i was told, they said they are training new people who might have gave wrong info, nothing they can do but buy for 4$. This gamestops negligence cost me 80$. do not recommend. Worker with long hair seemed cool atleast even tho i was a bit frustrated. what i can only assume by the manner in which they talked and carried themself was the manager seemed like a pompous man but only here, in his controlled environment. good for him i guess. didnt even try to help or be kind, few words he said to me while walking away with his back turned and chin up. Purchased a new PS4 controller and a warranty that guaranteed a replacement with another new PS4 controller within a year. Returned 9 months later for a replacement only to be told that the policy has changed and that they will only provide a refurbished controller as a replacement. Regardless of any policy changes, I purchased an item with an explicit feature that Gamestop refuses to honor. Not only will they not honor the purchase, they will not refund my money either. Great Store and location. They had just the stuff I wanted and the service was great. In the same plaza, they have Ross, Marshalls, Radio Shack, and Target. Not very far away there's a Korean market, a Kohls, a Walmart, and a 99 Cent Only Store. I called in to put two games on hold and the guy that answered the phone was awesome. Got there from Roseville 2 hrs later and my items were ready for pick up. The staff here are killin' it! I have been to this location several times and have always felt that these guys go above and beyond for their customers. I had an especially pleasant visit this afternoon. I was initially assisted by Van and Ricky. I had called ahead regarding a pre-owned PS4, so Van headed to the back to grab it. While waiting Ricky and I chatted about a couple of different games. He gave me honest, friendly advice about two of the newly released games I was debating between. It can easily be said that he is a very upbeat, helpful fellow. Van made his way back to the front desk, carrying three different boxes of PS4 systems for me to choose from. He went through each on and showed me detail by detail which one he thought would be the best choice for me. Well, this is an early Christmas gift to my partner, after all. Instead of giving me the generic Game Stop box, Van made sure I received my system in an original Sony PS4 box. The store manager, Dennis, who had originally assisted me over the phone by answering my long list of questions, walked along with me searching for the perfect video game. He helped me get the best bang for my buck, and I ended up with the long-awaited "Far Cry 4", which was just released today! It has been a long while since I received such positive, enthusiastic, and genuinely caring customer service as I did today! I couldn't thank the gentleman enough. I have never had such a problem exchanging a product for store credit. I had the box it came in and the credit card I used to buy it because I didn't have my receipt. Customer service Associate Carter at the front counter was extremely unprofessional/rude and did not accept the exchange because it was missing the double AA batteries for the wireless gamecube Switch controller. He stated to me "what are you up to man?" I simply wanted to exchange and buy a even more expensive controller for $79. I offered to buy batteries to complete it. But he still didn't want to accept it; stating that "the batteries were part of the product." Which logically does not make sense. Luckily, another Manager (as I learned Carter was a Manager) helped me out and told me it was completely okay and I purchased batteries (better batteries than what the controller came with). Lastly, for Carter being a Manager, he did not know how to look up a receipt by using a credit card. I really suggest that this gentleman receive more training in customer service and the technical know how to complete processes such as looking receipts in a computer. This experience was very uncomfortable and unpleasant for me. I hope he can improve how he is with customers in the near future. read more

They always have what we need and they also have figures and other cool collectible items. And every time we have questions about something there're knowledgeable and very helpful and have great suggestions. My son went in here to trade in some of his games and see what he could get. The guy behind the counter was great. He treated my son with respect, realizing that yes he's young, but he's still a paying customer. He engaged my son in great conversation about any game my son was wanting to talk about. This review is about this Gamestop customer service. I had a $35 credit on my PowerUp Rewards account and it took nearly 45 min for me to find my credit and retrieve it on a gift card (I was given a 1-888 number to find the missing credit). When I finally went to this store to purchase the new COD: Ghost, Silas (I hope I spelt it right) informed me that the system needed the PIN in order to process the gift card amount. I was on the phone again with customer service for 30 more minutes, and come to find out I was transferred to the wrong line again. Silas asked his manager for assistance once he got back in the store and guided Silas to call a couple of numbers when reaching corporate. After what felt like an hour, Silas was finally able to resolve the problem and had transferred my gc amount to a different gc so I could finally use it. I apologized to Silas about the situation and he reassured me that it wasn't my fault and they neglected to provide the proper information. This process was a stressful 2 hours.. but I just wanted to thank Silas and his manager, Dennis, for being patient and helping make this purchase easier than how it first started off. read more

Been to this game stop quite a bit over the years and I always leave with something. Today I came in to trade a few games, buy a new xbox 360 controller, and buy a new game. There was only one guy working and the store was very busy (he couldn't even answer the phone). I liked how he dealt with each person in a timely manner and even apologized for being under staffed. Pure rip-off! TERRIBLE ATTITUDES! Stopped by to compare prices and selection of used PS2 games to an independently-owned store down the street. Found 1 game and got in the long pre-Xmas line. Got up to the counter and asked the guy if they could clean the scratches off the video game. "We don't clean them. It's used. You can buy a new one if you don't want scratches." First of all, asshole, I know that I'm buying a used game. If I wanted a new one, I would have brought up a new copy to the register. Secondly, jerkoff, there are machines that clean dvds, cds, and video games. I know so, because the independently-owned store that provides better service than Gamestop, cleaned all 20 of the used PS2 games for me that I just purchased at his store. Nothing but a great experience. I had one of the oldest Xbox 360s and had about 30 games. My girlfriend is a PS fan. It was time to get rid of the old and go over to the other side lol. Ricky helped us out and gave us a pretty fair deal on the trade ins and suggested some different bundles on refurb PS3s. We are totally happy with what we received and with Ricky's help he was very friendly and cordial. I had some original Xbox games that they couldn't take as trade. There was nothing I could do so I told Ricky to keep them and donate them. With that he gave us a little bit more of a discount on a couple of PS3 games. read more

Only place in Rancho for used anything. I hit em up every once and a while to take a peek at movies or maybe some cheap games which for xbox 360 they have a decent prices although any game they have in store is more expensive then on their website. If you are simply selling stuff and don't really need the money or credit I would strongly suggest selling elsewhere or just hanging on to it. They give about 3 cents on the dollar. I learned this the hard way as I had about 50 movies I wanted to get rid off since I'll never watch them again and even some that were in original wrapping and I wasn't paying attention to what was going on and then BAM, i got about $150 in credit and was a puss and said cool. Sell to Dimple if you have to. The cats that work there are pretty cool tho and at least say hello and bye. read more

I started visiting Game stop in the Olson Dr. plaza about 4 years ago when my son received a WII for his Christmas gift. I came in confused and wasn't sure what and where to even start. The gentleman up front ended up upgrading my WII for just a little bit of money and walked me through the whole store explaining what games to use and what remotes are best... etc. I was very happy to see everything being neat and in order. Everything was organized by type of games and even by new/used. I loved it. From having absolutely NO knowledge, I was able to learn it all. This month, I decided to upgrade to an Xbox. Once again, (a different man) was extremely knowledgeable and helped me with the difference about an Xbox and Xbox T1. I was able to buy the T1 for the same price as a regular Xbox...I was advised on what remote controls are best and "Minecraft" game that is absolutely a must for my son's age group. I'm not sure what other locations are, but this one specifically, has WONDERFUL CUSTOMER service and a wonderful location (plaza includes Target, Marshalls, Ross, Subway, Michael's). Game stop is deff a preference over other stores where I have to LOOK/SEARCH for someone to help me, and end up getting the same line of: this is not my department. People here are polite, and honestly, provide the best deals. You can always switch your games and trade it... and I absolutely love it that they have used games for half price but the condition is really almost new. I rate this as a 5+. read more

This is the closest Gamestop to my house. I come here occasionally to see what's new or pick up a new title. I'm not a big fan of their payments for used games. You can bring in $150 in games that are still fairly current and you will get $15 for them and then they will just put a sticker on them and put them on the shelves at $49.99. I DO like the service though. Joseph is a cool ddue, he has taken back games that I thought were terrible at full credit and is also very knowledgable about current games and new games that are coming out.
