We are both pleasant surprised with the high end inventory in the store! Some of those relics, like long version spanning across 2 regular card size, we don't even know they exist! It almost felt like a museum for sports fans to drool there! They also carried some Pokemon cards at more expensive price, but definitely a very full inventory available for those felt the urge to rip some packs! I love how to area is designed and very spacious with tables and chairs to enjoy. They also have some reasonable price cards to the right of the store next to the freebie section. I dug through that 3 baseball boxes and found a couple good ones. I also got like 13 freebies thst usually sell on eBay like 25-99 cents each. I love how they have the freebies for kids and adults and we definitely bought more singles because we found those freebies for players we actually need and love (yes minor players but you don't care if you are a fan). We will most likely return. If you have kids they will have fun there too!

Didn't see anything I was looking for, but it was cool to check out the shop. Prices are a bit high, but still in the ballpark range-ish. Location is ok; further east and past old town. Selection...well, it was just ok. They have most sports covered, and they have a few sets, but if you're looking for something specific, they may not have it. Still, the ambiance is nice.

The guy answered the phone and laughed when he heard the title. He said that is his coworkers favorite comic. And that yes they did have it in stock. I asked if he'd hold it for me and I would be over shortly. Awesome. The store is located in the Southport Town Center, along many other shops and eateries. There were plenty of people inside of all ages. Looks like they had finished playing some type of card games as there were tables set up and intense looks on their faces. Talked to Allan and told him what I was there for. He was pretty informative and friendly about the series. I am new to the scene so this took a lot of the pressure off "am I getting the right book, am I missing more in the anthology?" The book was $27, fair price and I gladly handed my cash over and said goodbyes. The shop was full of classic comic books and new ones too. Plenty of Pokémon and magic cards too. Great little West Sac comic book and game card store.

There are 2 parts to this large store, the showroom area with all the games, miniatures for your perusing and purchasing pleasure. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in recommending a game you may like, or answering inquiries into availability or ordering a game they may not have in stock. The 2d part is large game room that is stocked with games you can test out, or just come in with your friends, or meet new friends and try them out. They publish a monthly schedule of tournaments, contests, or just open game playing. On this occaision, I came to one of the Semi Annual flea market bazaars, where anyone could sign up, for a small fee , get a space to sell their older games , or maybe crafts. There is No fee to be a shopper st the bazaar, so you can find some good deals on games, miniatures, cards, books, terrain, storage or dice. I scored a Zombicide game that was unpunched at a great price for my son & I to play. All in all, just a great store for any game enthusiast of every age from beginners to the hard core gamer.

Truthfully, I really don't think we have anything down there that compares to the size, selection, and value at Great Escape. This place was awesome! There's just so much to look at! I'm a new 40k enthusiast and really enjoyed hanging around here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Their prices are reasonable and if you're someone who's interested in painting miniatures and all- definitely give this place a shot. They have everything you need here... you've got plenty of options. It's a pretty big establishment, the only weird thing is that it's hidden tucked away on the backside of the building. I went on a Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to exploring more of Sac's gaming scene.

The selection is good, nice variety of products, a little more than market, but was willing to pay that to support local. Went in today and looked through the single cards and saw many items on my wishlist. Knowing that prices fluctuate due to market pricing/demand. Asked simply if they match current market price (all local shops around here do and are happy to). Was informed that would require someone to be constantly checking the price, the item is here, and told me if it's cheaper online get it there. Thanks for that advice, I will happily order and online and advise anyone to do the same. Service/care might be better with those online vendors. Saw another review and a totally agree about the no interest in their customers. I would advise to do a quick search for other local shops that are excited to help and engage with customers.

We have some very rare basketball cards and wanted to better understand the grading process before taking the plunge, especially since the store assists with submitting cards to PSA. Marcos explained everything clearly, answered every question we had, and gave us the information and confidence we needed to move forward. We made the trip from the East Bay to the Sacramento store and spent more than an hour with him. He was professional, thorough, honest, and never made us feel rushed.
