This GameStop has exceptional staff that go above and beyond to help all customers. They treat all customers with the highest customer service no matter if you're able to or disabled. My adult nephew has special needs, he can't read or write and when he is on one of his long few hour walks he stops into this gamestop. The employees always make him feel like a valued customer and they always help him with games to buy, what ones are currently challenging and when he is stuck on a game he takes pictures or video of where he is stuck and then goes into the store and ask the employees if they can help him and nine times out of 10 they have the answers and explain how to get past that spot or what he might be doing wrong. So we both would like to thank all of the staff at this game stop and GameStop corporate for hiring such exceptional people. And to the last manager, Shane, who moved to another location, he is greatly missed by my nephew, because he went above and beyond to make sure my nephew felt like a fellow gamer. He was able to relate to my nephews needs and shared with us that he has a brother with special needs as well. My nephew loves his new PS5 that he bought here because of Shane treating him so good. Due to the fact that it is so close in location that's the GO TO place to pick up a game. We come here once in a great while and staff are very helpful and they try to get you to join the gamers club or reserve a new game that coming out soon. I came in to buy a PS5 and the experience was fast and easy! The customer service was great, I was helped by Cheyenne, she was so sweet and so patient with me! She offered me a warranty for a reasonable/great price and recommended to sign up for an account for points! I saved almost $30 on my purchase and have points to use next time I go in. I came in to trade in my boyfriend's Xbox unfortunately I couldn't trade it in because we didn't know the pin. She was so kind enough to help me carry the ps5 to my car! Went to this game stop location for the first time last week and had hands down the best experience! I was selling my old games and made a huge mistake asked for cash instead of credit, which it was already processed (so I started to freak out as I would of had $30 cash vs a $78 gift card, which i wanted to use to get games that day) but Christian the gentlemen working was AMAZING and did his best to un due the mistake I made so i could get the gift card. He was so friendly and understanding, I would recommend this location by far to anyone! The manager was awesome too as they both were very compassionate! It's been several trips since my last review, and I still feel very strongly that this place deserves more stars than it has! Every time I come here with my husband, we are greeted before the door closes behind us. The employees are so happy to help and offer recommendations. By far the best customer service! I was greeted warmly as I walked into the store. During my visit, I was spacing out looking at merchandise. One of the employees was very well mannered excusing himself while rushing by. I appreciated that. I was very pleased by the amount of merchandise available to purchase after the holidays. They have a great selection of collector items and toys for anyone looking for that sort of thing. My daughter will for sure be pleased with her birthday gifts! As I was checking out Zachary was awesome. His customer service skills are top notch! He went above and beyond to make sure that we were receiving our magazines. I recently went into this Game Stop to pay for Spider-Man the day before the release so I could still benefit from the preorder benefits. I got to the store at 630pm, then the manager starts to ring me up to pay for the game with my intentions of picking the game up the next day. As he is ringing me up he tells me. "You won't get the pre order bonuses because it's past 6pm." I was a little taken back since I have always bought games from Game Stop, and have a higher membership. I decided to decline the sale since the manager way being short and kinda rude about it. Saying there is nothing they can do, the computer will not give me a pre order code. I thought well, sounds like an excuse, but I'm not one to argue and he might be telling the truth. HOWEVER, the next day I went to a different GameStop, brought up my experience, AND WITH SOME MAGIC, he was able to get me a preorder code for all the extras the next day when pre order was over. AND guess what, he printed it all from the same computer system. Unfortunately customer experiences like that are why people will purchase the game online. read more

Showed up to the location at 615 pm and the store was not open for business. The hours listed say nothing about closing the doors until 640pm. A waste of gas and time. If I could give 0 stars this would be the scenario. Last thing you want to do is wait for someone in 105 degree heat when you get off work because the business is not properly ran. I went in with him and asked how we're they discontinued and she just had an attitude and said again they were discontinued. She also asked, " Do even know what discontinued means?" Let me just say that Brittany and Angel are great associates! They had to correct an error that an employee (Meghan) from the GameStop off of Laguna blvd and Bruceville Rd made.. Brittany was extremely helpful and did everything possible to get my store credit back from a sale I didn't even want to make. Thankfully I was ultimately able to get my store credit back. This location is busy because but the friendly staff and service keeps me coming back. They have a very good selection of used video games at a decent price. I love the midnight release parties that they do for more newer and popular games. The staff here always makes you feel more welcome and shows customers that they appreciate your business. While no store is perfect, I have to say I have been very satisfied with this location specifically. I've come in to sell a couple dozen games during rush time, and been a challenging customer on Black Friday (sorry guys) and through and through the crew on 65th has been very helpful. Most recently, I've been abusing Shane's hospitality and he's a champ (buy that man lunch!). The worst part about shopping here is the parking lot. The couple of times we've gone in person the people working have been on their cell phones or playing games themselves and not interested in greeting customers or even selling them games. Sometimes you can find a deal at Gamestop. But 99% of the time you'll be better of just going elsewhere. The staff will annoy you with question regarding reserving future game titles and whether or not you want a special gamer card. It's an unfortunate how much the employees are pressures to try and sell these things to customers. Sometimes they will have buy 2 get 1 free deals for their used games. I have been to this location several times. A few of them just going in on a whim and the rest after ordering online and picking up in store. The ordering online and picking up in store times have always been smooth and with no issue. Going in to just browse for birthday or holiday presents have been more hit and miss. On those occasions I have been a bit disappointed by the experience. Staff seemed more interested in chatting with those customers they perceive as "gamers". Kind of off putting for those of us who are also gamers but may not look it. Not to mention slowing down the purchasing process because socializing seems to be more the focus than actually selling product. Do not get me wrong, staff is not rude just seemed to get distracted by engrossing conversation and not as focused on the task at hand. Although I can say they are not pushy about buying gift cards or their loyalty program like some of the other locations can be, especially during the holiday season. For now though, I will stick with making purchases online and picking up here only if I have to. read more

I don't know why I always insist on walking in here. The store is cluttered. The used games are overpriced, you can't buy a game without being up-sold on garbage rewards clubs and warranties you don't need. Much more pleasant and cheaper to buy games online. What is wrong with the other reviewers? This is the best gamestop. maybe their low star rating will keep this hidden gem of a store a secret. I used to use the downtown plaza location until it closed, with mixed ratings. But this review is specifically about their pre-sale and midnight release of skyrim. The employees there are both helpful and friendly. we pre-ordered our game and were told the line before 11/11/11 started at 10pm. We showed up around 11-unintentional tie in, and after a moments confusion noticed that there were actually 2 lines. One to "finalize" your receipt and one for actually getting the game. No matter WHAT, even if paid in full, a receipt needed to be finalized. A lot of people seemed really ,really irritated at this, because the pickup line was beginning to go all the around the corner to 65th street. BUT THOSE PEOPLE WERE JERKS AND WRONG. I listened to the employees explain this over and over to people, while in cute costumes and not losing their cool with excited gamers who have been done with oblivion and want the FUS RO DAH! So this "final receipt" line went pretty quick, if you had a balance to pay you paid it and they put a special stamp on the receipt. If you were paid in full you just needed a stamp. This had to be done this way because......by 12 pm the line reached almost back to folsom blvd! holy skeever! So we saw many excited people running out of the store with games in hand. Our group was probably 80-100 people back in the line, and we were in our car driving home to play by 12:13. THATS RIGHT it only took 13 minutes after the legal release time because they cut thru all the bull ahead of time and everybody got to get outta there quick. it was BEYOND efficient. I took my 6-yr old son in to look for a game, and was very disappointed to see all the 'Teen' and 'Mature' games intermixed on the shelves with "E" (kids/family) games. Within a matter of just a couple of minutes he was exposed to all kinds of violent, satanic, and criminal type images. Shame on these people for: (1) Selling such sin, and (2) Having negative and sinful images in plain sight of children (2-4 ft eye-level). There were other small kids in the store besides my son. God says "Vengeance will be His". Other used video stores I've been to have the kids/family games down low and the 'Teen' and 'Mature' games up higher....smart & responsible. Another thing: They had 'used' games for sale (latter releases) at the same price as what you can buy them for 'new' at Wal-Mart/Target/Fry's. It would be stupid to buy 'used', when you can get it 'new' at the same price. Before we went to the store, I called to inquire about their store hours, they immediately put me on hold for about 2 minutes.....I just wanted to know what time they closed. The parking lot has small parking places, so be prepared to get a door ding or two if you shop at this store. This place stinks. read more

Today, I came in to pick up a preorder I made back in April. The launch date was 5/18 and online it stated that the store would call me if my product was ready. Today is 5/19 and I called the store and they told me that my product is actually there. So I came in to pick up the item and showed Icky that the price I preordered the item was cheaper than the price that was ringing up. He told me there was nothing he can do because the amount is only to what ever it rings up on the register. He then told me to call Gamestop.com to fix the problem because the sole reason for me to purchase the item was the sale price. It doesn't make sense to me that he couldn't change or honor the price that shows on my Order History and E-Mail when I pull it up. Complete waste of gas and gas prices are going up! Maybe it's not his fault, but then again he is representing Gamestop and this is a review for their store to try and take care of a customer. He didn't take care of the customer. read more

Employees aren't rude. They sell you games and answer your questions. I went to the gamestop website reserved a game and bought it. In N out. Saves a bit on shipping loss pennies on gas. The one time I came here and didn't push there loyalty card or try to ask me to trade in my games. Less annoying than over gamestop I've shopped at. Also I noticed they are selling a lot more than games now. Gift cards, Ipods and tables to name a few. Didn't really look. read more

I'm not one of those guys that is gonna be lining up all night to get my hands on a game, and I take pride in that fact. But I do like to secretly dabble in the gaming world from time to time, and I'm rarely able to get myself to shell out a full $60 for a game. That's why GameStop is great. I'd much rather spend $15 on last year's "game of the year" and $45 on anything else. I've never had any problems with this location, although I do hate their parking lot. Those car spaces can't possibly be regulation! And all of these stores have a very unique smell... sort of a cross between plastic cases/Doritos powder/damp towel. Staff can be a little dorky, but it's never been anything to complain about. They save me money on my dirty little secret, and I'll give them props for that. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I knew exactly what I wanted here and I found it right away. So I went straight to the cashier. It took me 10-15 minutes before I can even pay. There was only one person ahead of me. The cashier and the customer was talking about how to play a certain game and how much they enjoy it. That's ok.... But not for 10-15 minutes, especially if you know and see the next customer. We even made eye contact... Cmon..... He could have at least acknowledged me and let me know that he will be right with me. Horrible customer service. Definitely not going back to this location. read more

Shitty service. Been coming to this gamestop for years and I'm pretty much done with them after this. Placed an order on the gamestop app for store pick up, order gets confirmed, come morning I get an email that the order has now been cancelled, and I haven't even received my money back. I'd be fine with this, if not for the fact that there was *literally* no reason for them to cancel my order, as I went in afterwards to check and the employee there told me that he doesn't even know why it was canceled, that they HAVE the items I ordered (a switch lite, and 2 games). On top of this, I just don't appreciate how curt and unhelpful a lot of the staff can be, aside from a select few. read more
