I really love that they have a good books selection if you've never known that they have a good book selection they really do. This locations employees are rude and not helpful. I asked several employees if they had squishies they all lied and said no. We could clearly see dumplings and needohs behind the counter. After saying they had none a girl comes up with 2 boxes of dumplings very rude wouldn't let us see so we could pick. She hid them behind counter out of sight. I had to ask about the needohs and she put one on the counter. But there was other colors and shapes. It's like she didn't want to sell them. It's what you would expect at a typical Five Below store. Most items are $5 and lower but some are not just keep that in mind. There's a decent snack option I really like that. They are a little pricier but that's ok. Staff always greets guest upon stepping in. My little issue with this location is the item just being smashed onto the shelves. Like perfectly good packagings are SHOVED on the shelf and smashed in. Obviously those look visibly smashed so I won't buy them. But some look ok on the outside but are obliterated when you open it. Customer service is not part of this store best business practices. I am elderly and needed to use the restroom. I found the restroom but it needed a code to enter. I asked a sales clerk (possibly Hispanic girl) who was nearby the restroom stocking shelves. I asked her for the code and QUICKLY she said "the restroom is out of order". There was NO SIGN on the women restroom. Maybe she thought I was homeless? (benefit of the doubt). Inconsiderate and insensitive. I make more money in a month than she does in a year. Retail business is very competitive, especially in this dire economy. Customers keep them in business. Be careful how you treat customers. I came in to return something and was told to come back because the manager/supervisor wasn't there. I'm not sure why the employees aren't trained on everything or why be left alone. I did come back and the same employee had called the manager.(She was in the back) He said she would be right up. I waited a good 5 minutes for her. As I saw her walking up to the register she started cleaning up and taking pictures of things. At this point, I'm pretty annoyed. First, I had to come back and now had to wait even longer. This store was popping 2day!!! It was a busy store & very clean!!! Found some cute items 2day & some delish snackies!!! They had fall products out such as candy & candles!!! We stopped in while looking for some small gift items. We don't stop at Five Below often, but have discovered it's a great spot for candy. They have a variety of different candy options including single pieces, bigger bags and specialty limited edition offerings. Maybe it's because I don't shop here often, but the pricing seemed a bit haphazard. Some things would be marked and some weren't. I wish they had a little price checker station to double check. There were some items I definitely would have considered at $2 or $2.50 but not at $5 and I passed them up because they weren't marked. I also ended up getting some stickers and on one side of the aisle they were marked for $1 and the other side there were no markings or price tags and one set was $2.50 and another was $5. The check out was a bit confusing too, there was a nice staff member helping someone at the checkout and the other stations were marked closed. We could have easily done self checkout but she was individually helping people, which is fine but why have the self checkout set up then? The parking lot has plenty of space and I could see this being a very popular place for kiddos. There is candy, toys, books, art supplies, fidget toys and more. We did end up spending over $60 when we just came in for a couple things, so be careful it adds up fast. read more

It's a hit or miss for all five below in my opinion. . I like coming here because the parking is big and can easily find parking. . The aisles are usually organized well and you must walk around to search things you like. . Usually things are grouped each category. . This time I got lots of plush which I usually resist and won't get if it's not that I want or need. This time I gave in and took them home, they are adorable sushi and nigiri which is really reasonable 5 dollar plush. I just want the whole set to put in the back my car so every time I look in the rear view mirror it will make me smile. Plus who doesn't like sushi. . I also found some cute keychains as gifts for friends as a thought in mind of them. . I love coming to five below and search for gudetama goods. I know it's the holidays and it's busy, but who hires these people? Seriously, being on your phone and gossiping with your coworker while obviously seeing me there waiting to pay for my items. Then being on your personal phone while ringing me up and not saying anything to me. Crazy! I would've been better off with self check out than whatever kind of service that was. This is the best Five Below store compared to all other Five Below stores I have shopped at. The store looked very lovely, and more impressed as soon as I walked in the front door. The lady at the front door even gives me a perfect greeting. The items are very well displayed, and all the shelves are filled with reasonably priced merchandise. The aisles are clean and easily accessible. I like the "Beyond Five" section inside the store for the item above five dollars. This is the best Five Below store I've seen so far. If your looking for a gift, gag gft, knik knack and such or just an everday thing, good chance you will find something here. They got workout items, clothing, Snacks, tech items, poster, incents, seasonal items, board games, hair accessories, sport stuff, pet toys and such, and many more items in-between. Even found some hockey sticks. Hopefully you are right handed though. Staff was helpful at checkout and when walking around asking if anyone needed help. There's a huge parking lot so that makes it easy to come here. You can find decently priced items here for gifts or cute decor or as other people have mentioned, their huge candy selection. Some items aren't the best deal for the price, but because a lot of things are around $5, it's very easy to start putting things in your cart. Lots of parking spaces available in the shared lot. Relatively clean interior, though some of the merchandise will be strewn about on the shelves. I like some of their graphic tee designs, but the ones I wanted were out of stock in-store and I couldn't find them on their site online. $5 for a tee is a pretty good deal, though I can't comment on the quality yet. They carry some anime merchandise like blind boxes, figures, magnets, stickers, tees, and posters. Some of their candy is more expensive than Walmart or Target, so I would think twice before buying food from here in general. For electronics, you get what you pay for. I bought some headphones from here before, and they weren't very good quality. I'd be open to trying their charging cables someday though. The phone cases are fine, though there aren't many nice designs. If you're looking for a simple clear case, I think here is cheaper than Amazon. No cashiers, all self-checkout with maybe one or two staff in that area to help if you have issues. Some of the checkout registers only accept card, so look out for a sign on top of the screen before scanning. read more

They had a lot of different tshirts that you could choose from displayed on the wall that I took the time to look at but everything that I liked was almost out and nothing my size. This Five Below location was just like the other ones we've been to. We ended up here because we were in the area and our son needed a birthday present so we grabbed a bunch of items here. First off, parking was easy so that wasn't a problem. When we walked in, we only saw one person working (is that normal) and he was near the cash wrap area. It was a dual job, a cashier and a greeter. Well done but I think you need another person as back up. There may have been another worker but while we were there, we didn't see anyone else. Anyway, my son had an idea of what he wanted to get his friend which mainly consisted of sour candy, a stuffed animal, a shirt and a gummy bear. The candy was easy to find but if you were looking for other candy, some of the shelves were pretty bare (hence needing another worker even if it's just to stock products on the shelves). We found what we were looking for as far as sour gummy candy goes. We then went on to find a shirt in a small size and that was a hard job to undertake. We had to look through all the shirts throughout the store. We finally found one and only one shirt and luckily it was nice enough for an 11 year old birthday boy. Stuffed animals were a little bit harder because it's whatever is in "season" will be at the store. We found a little stuffed animal in a random spot but it was just what my son was looking for so he tossed it into the basket. We went to look for a party bag that could hold all of these items and the items we needed weren't there. The wall was bare. They did have small bags but that wouldn't have helped us. We weren't that desperate. They did have gift bag tissue so that was a good thing. After my son was done shopping for his items, we went on to look for some items that we would need for his project at school. We found some glow up styrofoam "sticks" and none of them had a price. The worker had to look up the item and it took some time to find it...the worker had to search through books and all the other tags that were all ripped up. The worker found it after 10 minutes. This place was ok. They need to stock the shelves better and probably need more workers on the floor. Other than that, they had what we needed and we were well on our way. read more

This place is like an uppity Dollar Tree or Daiso Japan but most of their stuff starts at $5 and goes upwards. They have staff that you normally can get from Amazon except it's a front store. I got a flat plug extension for $5. When I went to check out--this was what was weird--there were NO cashiers. ALL of the registers are self-checkouts. LOL! it's the first store I've seen that has strictly self-checkouts. There was one person or two who were working the floor. I suppose it makes it easy for whoever owns the place not to have to pay too many employees. It's an ok store with Amazon or Alibaba quality goods. They do not let paying customers use the bathroom facilities. So I decided to not purchase any goods. But obviously the prices are cheap.

I'm not one to complain, but when you mess with my kids, that's a completely different story... My son was waiting for the bathroom for 10 minutes while one of the employees were in there and I was at the checkout when she walked back to the front.. she then proceeded to talk to talk shit about my son to the coworker absolutely disgusting behavior to talk about a child when you're an adult. He just really had to use the restroom. Won't ever be returning. read more

The only other time I've been in a Five Below was when I was visiting my sister in Texas. I loved the store and ended up buying clothing, phone accessories, etc. While visiting my family in Sacrament, my mom suggested we go into this Five Below. She has gone before and this was my first time. There was one person working the front on this specific day and no other employees in the store. There were some cute products but it seemed fairly parse compared to my one and only other experience. I didn't see anything I needed and left empty handed. It was okay. Just nothing spectacular. The customer service was meh when my mom was checking out. The products were okay. I could take it or leave it. read more

Ok so I came here based on one of my clients' recommendations. And we'll she hyped it and had nothing but good things to say about the deals, I however didn't. Yeah the deals were great. But the people they have working there suck! They had a trashy nasty attitude. Well I mean it is located in the heart of south sacramento so I guess I shouldn't expect much. It's not my fault y'all are upset about working at that place. So upon arrival, (which I wasn't aware of the hours of operations) since I was in the area visiting a friend since my client told me about this place I wanted to check it out. So I get there walking into the place I didn't get greeted, instead I got bombarded by the cashier yelling across to me (she was in the middle of the store) "we close in 5 mins so please be quick) and I'm like okay, that's rude. Whatever proceeded to look around to see, ignoring her because I trying to see the deals my client told me about. So finally those 5mins pass up. And she goes to the area I was in which is near the back of the store by the shelves and tells me "if you have found anything you like bring your purchase to the front cause if not you have to leave" and I'm like at this point mad because for one, I am obviously new to this store never seen one of these stores before and was curious about it and what it had to offer. And the worker just killed it for me, while there were other workers two males and that one female and even a security guard. The girl was rude she was a Hispanic female. Had I known the hours I wouldn't have went knowing they were going to close but there was need to treat me that way. I did see why they had security there I mean the area in south sacramento can get crazy. And the some people on the store looked like hoodlums up to no trouble people. But I obviously wasn't one of them, so after that I just left the stuff I was going to buy and left. Do better, do not expect great customer service here, after all the inventory is first come first serve and they're just in bins and big boxes in the middle of the store. Don't waste your time. I'm yet to go to the Arden location. I drive by the one recently and since my bad experience here at the florin location. I just won't go to that one neither, left a bad taste in my mouth.
