I've always heard about this store but never been able to go because of the hours are limited for a Monday through Friday work week. I work 9-6 so it'd be impossible for me to come but I had a doctor's appointment and made a detour afterwards. I was not disappointed. I came on Wednesday, or $4 day around noon. It was busy but not overwhelming. I am a bargain hunter so digging is not an issue for me although I started with The items on the shelf first. They had tons of snack bag potato chips and hot tamale candies. I thought what a steal for $4 and was surprised there were so many left but then discovered they are expiring within the next month but still a good deal if you're going to be eating them soon. We left with 4 items and that was in the short 30 mins I had to look. There are multiples of many items with random onesies of others. You can see the Amazon labels that have a description so that is helpful but some boxes do not and they ask you not to open them. If you are debating on something, do not put it down. I did this and a lady swooped in and grabbed it. Maybe because I went on day two, it was a relatively clean place. Its not like the Goodwill Outlet where craps is broken, dirty, and stinky. I didn't feel the need to go take a shower afterwards. If you understand what you are getting and not getting, You will have a better experience. You will not be getting customer service. You will have to dig and rummage. You may encounter rude people. You may find something, you may not. For me, it was worth the effort and I am anxious to go back. I would say a solid 3.5 stars that would definitely fluctuate between 3 and 4 stars depending on which days you go in. The staff is really nice, though there aren't a ton of them and they kind of let you do your thing. The concept is that they receive a bunch of overstock and out of season items from places like Target and Amazon and through the week the prices go from $6 down to $0.25 every item is the same price at the same time. You have to dig through big bins with a variety of items and a lot of boxes that may or may not have labels. You'll find people have opened a lot of them to see what's inside. The staff suggested downloading some apps to scan the barcodes and scan them to see what they are and what retail price would be. Google is definitely your friend too to see what regular prices may be. There is A LOT of junk- we went in on a $6 day and during the week people will buy the items they deem are worth the daily price. If you're a crafter, decorator or just like a treasure hunt this could be a great place to come but you may want to try the cheaper days. There are a lot of people touching these items throughout the day so wash your hands and keep them away from your face or food until you do- we are still in a post COVID world. We did find an amazing buy- doggy poop bags in a bulk pack that we got for $6 plus tax that would have been $96 if we bought each pack individually from Amazon. A very good find! They do have a membership club that will get certain people in first on their cheaper days and from what we heard a lot of resellers will stock up here. If you're up for an adventure and digging through random boxes of random items this could be fun for you and you never know what you'll find! read more

Look, this place can be chaotic, messy, and loud, but you can find some gems (but yes, you'd probably also find some trash). But if you come on a Saturday, you can go on a fun scavenger hunt for all the random items your heart desires because everything is 25 cents! I've only shopped on Friday ($1) and Saturday (25 cents). Not sure what stock is like at the start of the week (higher prices), but it's a fun and unique shopping experience that doesn't hurt the bank. Don't snub this place until you try out its unique experience. When you find large dry erase wall calendar, Target pajamas, a bamboo shoe rack, hoodies, and so much more for 25 cents each... it's hard to complain! read more

Falling Prices is located on Florin Rd, South Sacramento. Aside from having a great price, the store carries a wide range of products. I visit the store twice a week. I love their nuts and other goodies at such a good and affordable prices. The best part of the Falling Prices Store on Florin Rd are the customer service. Both John and Cindy (the Store Manager) are very kind and helpful and always meet customers with smiles as they come in. About 2 weeks ago, someone stole my mountain bike in front of the store. They broke my lock and took my bike which I borrowed from my closed friend. This was my only mean of transportation so after the bike was stolen, I had to walk to the store and it was a long walk especially under the summer heat and it was very exhausting. Today, however, John and his wife gave me a bike together with the blessing and assistance of Cindy the store manager. I can't thank both of them enough for their kindness and help. This store popped up last week without much fanfare- one day it was a seemingly empty building on the busy Arden Way and the next day there is a sign and mannequins in the window. Falling Prices brings you FALLING PRICES- CLOTHING! The clothes are sorted by men, women, children. There is a small section for shoes at this time. Each item has a different colored security tag on it and the tag's color represents the price as displayed on a chart on the wall. Do they change the color tag price as time goes on? I'm not sure. I went through the racks briefly on opening day just to see what they had. Anything I was sort of interested in had the more expensive Blue or Purple tag. The quality of the clothes were a hit and miss but I do think it's worth a try if you are interested in finding something unique or are in hunt of a great bargain read more

The concept of this place is that you are able to get a bargain on the rejects from Target, Amazon and more! Prices for items start higher end of$6 and decrease as the week goes on to 0.25 cent days. Sunday and Monday they are closed for restocking and cleaning. This is what I would consider a "dirty store" in which you have to rummage through the bins to get to the good stuff. You are asked to refrain from opening the boxes so whatever is inside is what you get. If you get there early enough you can usually find great bargains on clothing and other goods. I recently moved and got a TV mount for the wall for $4 along with candles, clothing, ziploc organizers and curtains for my new house. There are not many staff members and they tend to get so busy they have to monitor individuals entering/exiting the building to ensure that no one gets hurt or they are not over-populated. Super interesting concept. This is a store where a whole bunch of random returns and old stock and things that target and Amazon etc cannot sell anymore and they get put into huge bins and you get to dig through them and see what you find. It opens with new stuff every Tuesday and the prices start off at $5 then the prices fall each day with the last day they are open being Saturday and everything is 25 cents. It was definitely a culture shock but as I got going I found some pretty great things on a Friday for only $1 each. Everything I purchased was worth well over $1 but be careful because not everything in those bins was worth that much. I knocked a star off because the staff are the rudest people ever. A super unique shopping experience! My friend and I went on Friday, a $1 day. Obviously things were bound to be picked over and we had to sift through a lot of trash to find some gems, but that's all part of the fun! It reminds me a lot of the goodwill bins without the nasty clothing. We ended up finding some cool stuff and you really can't beat the prices near the end of the week. Used to love this place for the first month I would go there.. Friendly customer service and fun products to sort through for cheap prices. I went there on Nov 6, 2020. I hadn't been there for weeks so I did not know policies had changed on opening items in plastic bags to inspect them. In the beginning, they were letting that happen and I thought it was normal. Two service people ended up following me, on this day, when I opened a small package with a stuffed animal in it. They took the item away from me and said that I had to pay for it, but then continued to take it away. Afterwords I said I was fine paying for it. I thought the ordeal was over Unfortunately, I later happened to toss an item (within the bins) and it was near (did not touch) where one of these same service people were standing. She got upset at me immediately and said, "Really?! You didn't see me standing here?! Ohmygod" DEAR FALLING PRICES, you have AWFUL customer service people. I have never been so harassed shopping and never felt so uncomfortable. Used to love this place. I'm DONE. WHAT AN AWFUL PLACE TO VISIT. I've visited this location at least once each week over the past few weeks and from my experience, this really is a bargain hunter's dream. There is an element of double checking prices to make sure that you are actually getting a deal but with a smartphone its not hard to verify the retail price for many of these items. From my experience, they seem to have a variety of major retailers such as target and amazon which they get stock from. Prices start at 15 dollars but drop to 10, 6, 3. 25 each week based on the color on the wall. I've walked out with 3 dollar shirts that normally would have cost me 30 each at target. Staff at this location save items for friends + recurring customers. They literally hand pick items for certain people and deliver it to their cart. It is insanely unfair. Staff will open up new lanes for these customers with full carts and do not count all of their items. They have a system going on, so it's not really worth paying the membership anymore. I like the stuff I find at Arden's location but the manager is wrong . She never opens on time . She wait til 10 to start a 13 minute speech . Allowing all the people with numbers whom are running late to still be able to get their place in line. She is rude and very uncomfortable. Terrible first experience at this store. The Employees did not uphold their company policy of everything in the bins is 4 dollars on Wednesday. I found this iPad in the bins in the back of the store and had it with me the entire time I was there until I checked out. All over the store we see signs that say everything 4 dollars on Wednesday. I was very very excited for the item I found and felt like I was very lucky as I see it happen a lot to people who review falling prices especially in YouTube videos. And I was having such an amazing first experience, and then I begin to see the employees break down new pallets and picking and choosing before the customers get to and pulling all of the good items out. And I figured they missed this one and I'm very lucky I found it. And before I come up to the registers, I hear a tall man tel his co worker to make sure not to sell the "certain items" and I knew they were talking about me. When I checked out I realized that the cashier did not check the items of the person infront of me, and when it was my turn he checked every item until he saw the one item I had. And then said "I can't sell you this" and I asked him why? And he said because "we can't sell items that are over $30" which I knew wasn't true because a majority of the items are already $30. And I figured he just wanted the iPad to himself or something. I would never again go to any falling prices locations and would not recommend anyone to go because they are not fair to the customers. The staff I encountered are friendly if you're friendly to them. They are hard working and staying on top of their duties. I complained about a group of young people not wearing masks and they said, it's not mandatory. Pretty obvious cuz cashier also does not wear mask properly (mask below nose) . You can still shop even if you don't wear a mask and absolutely no social distancing. You can't dumpster dive if you social distance or else someone else will get ahead of you. We didn't shop here until we were fully vaccinated and we still were careful following basic rules for the sake of others. Don't forget to bring your own gloves. read more

Falling Prices is both insane and great fun. If you are patient and don't get freaked out by chaos you will love Falling Prices. There are lots of large wooden shipping crates filled with Target clearance items, Amazon returns and some other random stuff. There are shelves lining the building with boxes of items and the entire box is one price not each individual item in the box. Prices start at $6 on Tuesday and fall daily until 25 cents on Saturday. We went on Friday when everything was $1. We bought 25 random things with retail values totaling at least $250. We will go again on our next visit to Sacramento. read more
