Went to this store last Sunday to look for birthday supplies. When I tell you this store was neat, organized and well stocked I mean it!! I had gone to two other $ Tree stores the day before and they were a mess! What ever the management is doing at this store keep up the good work! This is the dirtiest and most disorganized dollar tree I've ever been to! Dropped my son off to a birthday party at the bowling alley next door and decided to give it a go... I'm sure the location doesn't make it easy on the employees (who are always very friendly), but wow... pretty gross store. And all of the inventory just has red stickers over the $1.25 price but it's a guessing game until you get to the register to see what price they decided to put on it in the system! $2? $3? $7? The only thing redeeming about this location is the employees are nice. But clearly they are lazy. It's like walking through an obstacle course trying to move around all of the items strewn along the floors. A tripping hazard at minimum. A challenge for myself on crutches for sure. I get it's usually busy so they don't have enough staff to pick up after the rude customers who trash the store. But shouldn't the clerks that close the store at night at least do a once over and put things back? You have to give Dollar Tree props for never trying to be more than a barebones vessel for ultra-cheap (in every sense of the word) goods. People come here because either they are cheap or broke or both, and I myself have fallen under both categories at many times in my life. Their motto really should be, "It's a dollar - take it or leave it." I came in looking for a couple odds and ends for a party and didn't find anything remarkable or different about this location compared to any other. The usual selection in disarray on the shelves, the usual messes in certain aisles that have long been ignored, the usual line and the usual sole register open despite there being enough customers for three. Maybe it's the neighborhood, but I did appreciate there being less crazies walking the aisles as well compared to the usual location I visit downtown. Location: Where the Fresh & Easy grocery store used to be off of Watt Ave. & I can't remember the name of the cross street. Sorry. Connoisseur of Dollar Stores of all kinds amongst other things so after our favorite grocery store Fresh & Easy closed its doors in the fall of last year & I mourned it's passing each time I would pass the empty shell of where it lived & hoped we'd be getting a dollar store of any-type in its place as in this stretch of Watt Avenue there are none or actually there are no really useful ones. WhoohoooT it happened. This brand spankin new Dollar Tree opened less than I'd say 2 months ago so this review is on more than 6 stops inside thus far if my memory serves and I'm headed there again in just a few hours to pick up some more painting supplies for the roof solar painting project that seems to never end.... yet I digress..... Here's what I like so far as we all know things change in a hot minute: CLEAN, its clean on the inside & outside with plenty of shopping carts that do NOT have that damn electronic locking gizmo on them with prevents you from pushing them out of the store. SELECTION: Damn good diversification in the stuff they sell. Lots of seasonal items such as decorations & party supplies including season & holiday appropriate multi-use plastic service dishes & glasses for say luau's, bbq's & birthday's. Makes entertaining outdoors beyond affordable & festive. Of particular use to me has been their painting supplies & so far I have blown thru 6 painting brush's both wide & narrow, several paint roller plastic trays, drop cloths and an invaluable tool to scoop the paint out of the huge bucket into your receptacle & buckets with handles. May be no biggie for you but to purchase these same items in a regular store I would have spent at least half if at not 100% more for items I'm just going to chuck once done with them. FOOD: Frozen section is in place and they have frozen veggies, fruits, sausage, hotdogs and other frozen fast food items which so far has been well stocked & organized. NO fresh food section though which is why I didn't give it 5 stars and I can do that it's my review as a fresh food section would make this store superior. Their canned goods items is minimal however but their spices section as in garlic power and other spices and seasonings is more adequate which is also a good thing for me seeings as how I use a lot of it and go broke when have to buy it anywhere else. Good selection of bubble baths & all personal items actually too & I scored 8, large sized bottles of the Lander brand Lavender bubble-bath which ain't cheap when sold in other non-dollar tree stores as its a superior bubble bath especially when your a bath taking girl like me who prefers baths over showers. It's an above average Dollar Tree not huge in size but they so far keep their shelves clean & well stocked with most things a home needs only at a fraction of the cost. Customer Service has also been excellent on all my trips also a rare find in this day & age which goes along way in my book. read more

I came to this Dollar Tree store because we needed wrapping paper and gift bags for our Oktoberfest party at work. I remembered reading a review on the location by the fabulous Jana T, so I decided to head on over. Let me start by saying that I'm not a big Dollar Store person; the last time I've been to one was years and years ago with my Mom. With that being said, this Dollar Tree location has singlehandedly changed my opinion of these kind of stores. This is a newer location so everything was very clean, fresh and organized; I loved it! They had a ton of party supplies including party favors, bags, bows, cards, wrapping paper, table clothes etc. so I was able to quickly find exactly what I was looking for. I found everything so quickly that I had time left to walk around the rest of the store and found many more amazing things including a huge Halloween section, tons of candy, cheap cleaning and cooking supplies and a bunch of food and hair products. I will definitely come back to this location when I am in need of another visit to the Dollar Tree. I know I will be coming back here anytime I need any party supplies or wrap. What would have cost me $40+ at a drug store, was only $12 here. read more

Employees are rude and rush you out of the store 15 minutes before they close. Registers shut off exactly at 9pm. This is true as I have heard this at other dollar trees, but with no one else in the store and 15mins the manager could have politely advised instead of telling me that I needed to leave. I still decided to checknout. After I made my purchase I realized what I believe to be the reason for the attitude and rude behavior... The area is not the best, especially with our huge "unhoused-drug addicted" population roaming the streets and making threats and harassing employees and customers. I can't blame her frustration! There are no working exterior lights on the dollar tree and good will buildings, nor in their shared parking lot. Almost pitch black until you approach either popeyes, or country club lanes. The light boxes on the building and in the parking lot are good quality, but what does that matter if they don't work. Not a safe place for customers to shop, or employees to work at night when exiting the store. Hopefully the property manager will have it brought to their attention and take immediate action! Store was clean and had a lot of seasonal items. Employees were friendly upon my exiting the store and expressed concern for safety. During the day this is a decent location, but even then the area can be rough be cautious of your surroundings. read more

I've probably come to this store like 5 times all together. It USED to be the cleanest one in sac. Idk what happened. I'll tell you what, I can always count on some 18-20 year old cashier being extremely rude every single time! I came by for the first time in a couple years cause I just moved to the area and their employees were loudly arguing in the back. I couldn't even concentrate on my list of things needed to buy. And then I see two more workers go in the back. And I get to the line, there's one cashier. And a 20 minute line. As people are trying to ask the other workers(stockers obvi) questions. The stockers completely ignore them and walk away from the customers like they're not there. I get it, sometimes there can be a problem employee but quite frankly from a customers side, it's not that employee that needed to be punished. That was all handled completely unprofessional. 5 stars--- I love that they have everything for easter. From candy to small toys. They have everything in there and every item is $1! The store is clean, organized and fully stocked. The reason I gave it a 2 star is that they have no tolerance with children. So if you go in there to shop with kids you will not feel comfortable. They literally say it in the speaker putting you on blast to have your kids not touch nothing . I was shocked! I personally let my kids choose what they like and put things back. But they don't like that AT ALL. I personally wouldn't go in this location with my kids in the future. So my advice to anyone with children (doesn't matter the age) don't bring them here. "Yes, we have no bananas." I love that this chain has everything from coconut water to file folders, and unlike their competition, at only one dollar. I even applied to be an assistant manager at one of their stores, I like their business model so much. Great selection at great value. All they are lacking is good values on fresh produce. The competition takes away business by offering this option. Get some bananas, lemons, cucumbers, apples and oranges and your business will grow even faster. I went into Dollar Tree to buy some decorations and was upset that all most of the customers had masks hanging around their necks instead of wearing them but even more upsetting was the female cashier had no mask on at all! In addition, she was less than pleasant and appeared annoyed that i requested to order several balloons. In this time of COVID increase in numbers, this lack of following a mandate was very disturbing. I will not shop at this location again. I will call and report this location to the public health department as though the sign on the door indicated masks required, inside of the store was one of the most egregious disregards for this mandate that I've witnessed. I was in line to pay for my merchandise and there was a elderly man that is hard of hearing and the cashier was telling him to reinsert his card. This went on for about 10minutes. The man got very frustrated and kept asking Charli, the cashier if he was done? Charli said no. The card machine is Mel function. Finally after 10 minutes, Charli paged the manager. The store manager solved the problem by helping inserting the card, when Charli should have helped the elderly man. Then it was my turn. There was a lady with children. I politely ask the lady to have 6 ft. The lady responded to me that they are children. I responded to the lady that I was speaking to her. Then the cashier step in and started arguing with me. I said nothing and spoke to the manager and complained about her behavior. The answer to my complaint from the manager was THIS IS THE FIRST COMPLAINT. I responded to the manager that I will be contacting corporate office. This store has in there ails boxes that need to be unpacked. This store is a disaster. COSH should needs to be aware of this.
