The best grocery outlet I've ever been to and honestly, best grocery store I've been to in Sacramento (lived here for decades). Shoutout to Teddie for being so pleasant and welcoming and everyone working this evening. Everyone was so nice! Completely different from the other grocery outlets I've been to. Everything was very clean, well organized, and the deals were great. I hope this place stays open for a long time. I'm not sure if the positive energy from the employees is from management, the work culture, or if this location strictly hires amazing people, but I'll certainly be coming back.

Shelves still organized nicely and lots of olives and other condiments 12-18-23

New location is nicely done. Parking lot spacious without high traffic makes it peaceful to patronize. Though the parking lot is a little too dim. However, inside the store it's bright and just right! The owner(s) must love olives as there was quite the selection of olives. It's a month after opening and the shelves were still in great condition. I came hunting for boba pearls, specifically O's Bubble Variety Instant Boba Pack (but macha is yucka). I found on the dried goods shelves a different boba tea package. And it was macha. Darn! Nicely organized, spacious, clean, kind staff, this store is good. Items I checked had generous best by dates. Less specialty treats than I've seen at other GO but still plenty of variety! Edit: for the Yelper who stated this location isn't in Gold River, this GO is in Gold River. The mother of all addresses, USPS, states such. See my photo. Cheers!

    Grand opening! Lots of parking

After taking over the building where the 24 Hour Fitness used to be, Grocery Outlet has revamped the space to be a bargain market! Plenty of parking, friendly staff and great deals, especially for the holidays. Produce is a great price and their flower bouquet section had more than I expected!

I purchased a watermelon and usually my items are good! But it wasn't worth going back to were I purchased it... Regardless the watermelon almost exposed! Wasn't good at all! Couldn't return it to the place I bought it! They wouldn't allow me. I would have to return the melon at the same location. That's not a good thing! What if I was traveling and couldn't go to the same place! I know Grocery Outlet can do better with their products and return policies! Disappointed with the product of a watermelon and customer service!

Since KP International originated as a Korean market there is a huge selection of Korean food and has the most extensive inventory of Korean products. There are multiple security guards throughout the store as a crime deterrent and can call the police if needed. Even the cashiers are overly vigilant. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

I told her 1/2 lb of boars head roast beef and 1/2 lb of the masque turkey. Pretty simple order. She replied by saying that I can just grab it from the pre sliced section. They don't even offer half pound portions. I get that she was busy. But after waiting 5-10 minutes and being told that.. I walked away with nothing. Terrible guest service.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a fraudulent Macy's gift card I purchased from your store on March 28, 2025, at Safeway. I bought the $80 Macy's gift card as a gift for my sister-in-law. When she attempted to use it at a Macy's store, she was informed that the card had already been used--it had been cloned. The PIN number on the card had been carefully scratched, which we now realize was a red flag. Not only was the card unusable, but my sister-in-law was left embarrassed at the store due to this incident. Despite providing this documentation, and repeatedly following up since March, Safeway has yet to resolve this issue. As of today, August 1, 2025, I have not received a refund or replacement, and the matter remains unresolved. This delay is unacceptable. I request an immediate investigation into this issue and a prompt refund or replacement of the $80 gift card.
