Home goods is one of my happy places! You can pretty much find almost anything you need for every room in your home! HomeGoods is also a great place to shop for dorm rooms, and my go to... gifts! Well, the stores are usually hit or miss depending on the time of year, this location specifically seems to be more of the hit and miss than some of the other stores that I shop at. They just don't seem to carry the same quantity levels or quality at all times. That doesn't take away from my love of the store. Great store, decent, customer service, and great prices!

I picked a table lamp without a price tag. At the checkout, cashier immediately noticed that it was the last table lamp of that model. When asked for price they took 15 minutes to get back to me and said it's $60. When I asked the other table lamps where I found it were listed at $15-$24, she insisted it was $60. Here is photo of that same table lamp for $24.99 online. Seems like the cashier wanted to keep that lamp for herself. Why even bother putting on the shelf then? One of the worst Homegoods locations, had bad customer service experience previous times as well. Go to the other Homegoods in Sacramento.

I dropped on in the morning of the very "second day" of operation. I was nearby and had time to kill. I thought I'll drop in to quickly check them out. For a weekday, the parking lot was full of shoppers. Parking spots were scarce and drivers were larking about and double parking in lanes waiting for an open spot. I think after the opening hubbub, the traffic will ease up. But once I walked in... quick I was not. I luved browsing all the aisles and the merchandise. However it was pretty crowded with shoppers. The aisles are narrow and barely have room to maneuver a cart around. As Home Goods signature, they do know how to beautifully stage their merchandise... housewares, plates, platters, glassware, etc to shout out "buy me... look at my sticker price, I'm marked down way below the retail price on my tag... buy me even though I have no useful purpose". Everything looked so pretty and spanking new. I almost bought an outdoor smiling turtle statute $19, Italian made ceramic bread basket $9, made in Italy water ceramic pitcher $10, tea cup and saucer sets in varying shades of pink and blues $5-7, and photo frames $4-9. I bought an acacia wood lazy Susan $16 with raw wood edges. But I returned it a few days later. The return process was easy. #homegoodsnatomas

This place is great. what do you need?? HomeGoods has got you!! Word to the wise, if you are in the store and you see something you like, buy it, even if you see a bazillion of them, why?? Because when you come back, it will be gone! They don't have an inventory system that will tell you how many they have or if they are getting more in. So you will be S.O.L. and you will have to call around to different stores to find this particular item. HomeGoods has everything. I mean everything. it's insane. Do you need kitchen gadgets?? Pots? Chairs (both dining/sitting)?? Sofa? End table? Console table? Coffee table? Pillows? Bedding? Rugs? Pet stuff? checkmark to ALL!! They have something for everyone and everything. This place is like a Disneyland of Home Decor!!

    Reciept

On Sept 14 2022, at approximately 715pm I went to HomeGoods located on Truxel for a Merchandise Return, due to us not having a Physical Reciept (That we misplaced) we are entitled to Store Credit per HomeGoods Policy. We purchased the comforter on Sept 13 at HomeGoods Located in Ethan Way so we went to the Nearest HomeGoods being on Truxel Rd. We spoke to the Cashier Employee who claimed to be a Manager but not wearing a name tape at the time, and discussed the above, in which she did not accept the return. It should be noted that the Comforter was Clean and in Original Condition we purchased at Ethan Way HomeGoods. The Employee first explained that we needed a Reciept, and as we were trying to locate a Virtual Reciept through email, the Employee then switched up and explained, "You need to go back to the other HomeGoods where you bought it" "The material feels different we cannot accept it." Ultimately I was very Respectful and patient but did not get the situation resolved so I decided to make the extra trip back to Ethan Way which was a huge inconvenience. Upon arrival at Ethan Way HomeGoods the Cashier easily and quickly issued us a Store Credit Card with no further issues. The situation I was dealt with could have been solved very easily but unfortunately my experience was not pleasant. I did not experience good customer service Below is an Attached Reciept for proof of return at HomeGoods Ethan Way.

Lots of items in every aisle but I did see a lot of broken products. The store also had an unpleasant smell. I was looking for decorative pieces for my new place and was so happy to find beautiful canvas paintings! They had an array of options but of course the one my boyfriend and I liked the most was defective! The canvas had about a 3 inch cut. I asked a rep for a discount and they were happy to give me 10% off for the damage. It didn't really save me much, I think it was $2 but luckily it's really not noticeable against our wall. I also found some cute mirrors for great prices! They were $5.99 for 3 mirrors, where as at Ross they would be $9.99 or at target they could go for $19.99. Great price & deal! They're super light and the mirror works well. I'll have to make more visits to dd's because I just love the decorative pieces they have and employees are fairly kind.

The sales associate offered a 20% discount but suggested I speak with a manager, as she felt a larger discount would be appropriate given the damage. She asked Jamesha if she could adjust the price, but Jamesha responded dismissively and with a hostile attitude, saying no. She added that she would have offered 10%, but since 20% was already mentioned, she wasn't going to do more, and shrugged with attitude. I was taken aback by her demeanor. She maintained a confrontational stance throughout. When the sales associate pointed out the large rip again, Jamesha said she saw it but didn't care, stating, "She can take it or leave it. I'm standing on it." Both the associate and I were left puzzled by the interaction. As a manager, Jamesha's handling of the situation reflected poor customer service, a lack of professionalism, and a concerning attitude. I hope the store considers finding someone better suited for a leadership role, as this kind of behavior is not acceptable in a customer-facing position.

I've been here a few times and wondered if they were still in business and there, they were. They haven't changed a bit. They are tastefully decorated in living room sets that are retro. We are shopping for a love seat so my husband sat in all of them hoping to find one. He liked the red minimalist one the most. The only thing is it looks like it might fold out to a futon, but it doesn't and we really need one for when my mother in law comes to visit and other visitors. They have so many items that I kept pointing to and saying "We used to have one of these." The most memorial items were the Pyrex, which my parents still have and a rotary phone which my parents still have just in case the electricity goes out. They also have the push button one and my parents have one of those too. My parents request to keep their land line and just have the local plan which they use to call their friends. They are afraid the power will go out and they won't be able to call anyone for help. And the power does go out in the winter on a regular basis where they live so this is really good for them. The new phones all use electricity. This shop also has lots of cases of jewelry and their broaches were on display on a mine mannequin. They were very sparkly, but I didn't have the time to really browse as the furniture took up most of my time. As we were finishing up my husband made the comment that he really needs to bring his sister and her husband here as she loves these types of store. They are planning on visiting so we'll be taking her here and to Zocalo too as shopping bring on a appetite.

So, it's that time in our lives that we are looking to start the money pit aka kitchen renovation…read more We've been in our house for a few years now, we're finally settled, paid off our cars so we have a few extra bucks. IKEA was the first place we thought of for inspiration. We were surprised at the color scheme we looked at and liked. We were attracted to the blue cabinets or the olive green cabinets as they would look good with our dark floors. An ask for countertops, I don't want lament as it won't hold it's shape. I like the glass composite countertops as they look more sturdy. We were surprised that they sell stoves, ovens, and microwaves. We thought they would be dummy's like the TVs are. I question the quality and longevity of IKEAs kitchens. They mostly show the lament kitchen tops. It's much cheaper then the composite glass, but I doubt they will last as long. I found the sink style I like. We have water outflow issues with our sink and facet, so I found a set in sink that I liked, no lip that goes over the countertops. With the countertops questionable longevity, now I question the cupboards quality and longevity. You have to give them props for being reusable price, I just don't want it to wear out. In the end we are thinking that the cost will be around $15,000 including instulation. I'm thinking more like $20,000 as things always cost more than you expect them to. Our next stop will be local hardware stores to check out their offerings. We really like IKEA's set up and displays. They are so realistic with the walls and all, it makes you feel like you are walking into a real kitchen unlike the hardware stores where you are just looking at the counties tops and cupboards. One things we observed with IKEA is they have lots of stark white cabinets. They brighten the room, but stark white against dark brown floors woudld be doo much of a contrast. And reminds me of the black and white high contrast baby books they make for tummy time. A little too contrasty for me. So, here we are looking at an investment as ours is still functional so there really isn't a rush. My husband has a point, let's spread out our large purchases over the years and not do everything at once. This year will possibly be the kitchen. Next year will be painting the house. And there is a good possibility of doing the ac and heating units. Last month was the fridge. And a few years back it was the washer and a few months after that it was the dryer. So in the end everything is pretty much spread out. Oh, don't forget the dishwasher and around 5 years ago it was the dishwasher and hot tub. The good news we're not in debt.

Maze of displays and merchandise of furniture (for every room), shelving, lighting, houseware, storage, linens, towels, rugs, live plants, art, curtains, cutlery, and Swedish snacks. But I don't go on the weekends. That's when it's full throttle crowded. My last shopping experience was on a recent late weekday afternoon. Before I go into the not so great moments, let me tell you the great stuff. The cafeteria food server was terrific. A lot of indecisive folks ordering good and asking questions, she handled it like a pro and kept the line moving. The cashier assisting at the first floor self check out was super helpful. Most of the furniture is made of sustainable materials and cheaply priced. Heck the majority of the furniture in my home is from IKEA. If hauling and assembling your own furniture is not your thing, keep in mind they offer assembly and delivery for additional costs. I've done both. You can check inventory quantity and the aisle and bin # location of furniture items on their website. Not so great: On my visit, the restrooms on the second floor, next to the cafeteria, were in awful shape. They changed the restrooms to multiple toilet rooms with motion activated low flow flush toilets. I encountered horrible bathroom toilet visuals. I went into 4 vacant toilet closets to get one without a #2. Grody! Then the toilet did not flush, there is no bypass button. Purely just motion activated that was not working. IKEA- for goodness sake, go back to the drawing board on these toilets. Also the cafeteria was low on several food items and ran out of coffee. Surprisingly since it was around 4pm, nearing early bird dinner time. Maybe a good thing considering the toilet situation. But not great when you paid for a cup of coffee and waited over 20 minutes. I was assured by the cashier, when paying for a coffee, that it won't take long to brew a fresh batch. Possibly staff can monitor the coffee. Plus I didn't understand why the cafeteria cashier letting line cutters in. He allowed a customer to cut the queue to purchase a drink. I didn't say anything to either the cashier or customer. But my opinion is that the customer go through the queue and get in line behind the others; bypassing the hot food line makes sense but not the line of folks queuing up to pay.
