I've been shopping at this Dollar Tree location for about two years since it's the closest one to my home in North Natomas. Unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing when it comes to product availability. Almost every visit, the items I'm looking for are out of stock--about 99% of the time--even though these are products that are normally well stocked at other Dollar Tree locations. The store itself is quite small, which makes it easy to bump into other customers while shopping, especially during busy hours. I do want to note that the staff is professional and friendly. However, there are usually very few employees working at any given time, making it difficult to find someone available for assistance. Checkout lines are almost always long, with only one or two cashiers open, even during high-traffic times when additional staffing would clearly help. Last week was the final straw when, once again, the basic items I needed were unavailable. I've since noticed that the Dollar Tree just down the street is larger, better stocked, and overall a more efficient shopping experience. That will be the location I choose to shop at going forward. read more

Amazon was too pricey, Target was even worse and my hubby said, "Dollar Tree will have what you need." A five minute drive and $7 bucks later we were all set. I came to Dollar Tree for a quick trip to find some gold tissue paper - they unfortunately did not have any, but I did find some that was Valentine's Day themed. We also picked up a bunch of candy for a movie night - they had an entire aisle of different options from gummies to bite sized candy bars. Valentine's Day balloons filled the ceiling of an entire aisle, they also had St. Patrick's Day and Easter/Spring items out already as well. They even had an entire section of different flavor Peeps! This was my first time shopping at Dollar Tree, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I needed basic kitchen items and found spatulas, dish towels, and storage bowls. Everything worked just fine, and the price couldn't be beat. The store was neat, the staff helpful, and the value for money exceeded what I imagined. I'll be back for sure. read more

This Dollar Tree is awesome! Everything is very well stocked and clean unlike some of the other Dollar Tree locations. They carry a lot of brand name products which are usually double or sometimes triple the price in other stores. I always find what I'm looking for and the employees are very friendly, with the exception of one girl that was quite rude and couldn't be bothered with a quick question but overall they are great. The store and one Sacramento in the Southport area of West Sacramento office Jefferson is one of the cleanest the nicest staff very well trained and very well stocked. I am extremely extremely happy with this store as I drive clear across town to go there because the other dollar tree is not good the one on Jefferson and Washington And West Sacramento is an excellent store probably the cleanest and most well trained staff than any Dollar tree I've ever been to and I've been all over the United States in the military. this has been the indelible Dollar Tree of my childhood. i suppose recently it went through a little bit of a remodel because everything is a bit more cleaner now, just a bit. the employees are never a hassle and are always doing their job just right. Dollar Tree can still surprise you with some of the hidden treasures they have stocked up on the shelves. can you believe that they have this much variety of items all for a dollar?! Ahh, dolla dolla...This store has all the things you come and expect for tha "Tree". Greeting cards 2 for $1 for some. Laundry detergent, snacks, school supplies, mylar balloons, etc. I come here mainly for greeting cards when I need them. Laundry detergent in a bind too. Batteries when low or out. Toiletries for a buck each work too. Cashiers are generally friendly. But lines can get long if one cashier is open. They usually will get a 2nd cashier to come over if the line is long. I have rarely seen one cashier being left to hold the fort. That is a positive compared to places like Safeway in N. Natomas that can let lines get more than 10 deep often at busy times. This place has had a few incidents of fools crashing trucks through the front door and stealing the bubble gum machine or ATM (?). You know, foolishness at it's finest. You get homeless and undesirables hanging out unfortunately and overflowing trash cans. It is not in a good area of North Natomas due to all the low rent dwellings nearby. But hey, it is our $ tree in our area. The next closest is the one on Northgate in the Foodsco center. Parking is crazy and usually you need to have good timing when someone leaves the front parking. You can usually get one in the middle area a bit away from the store. Most of us are relieved that the smoke shop in this center is gone as it brought the rough crowd in. I would come here when Iam in need of something. It is definitely not a regular place for me to shop. read more

Cheap meets West. Dollar Tree is one of the best places to buy those items that normally cost a ton, and get tossed right after they are used. You know, that expensive wrapping paper and ribbon that you spent a fortune on, and it was tossed to the ground after your gift was opened? Dollar Tree has some great bargains! Its my go-to for a ton of miscellaneous things, like wrapping paper, ribbon, and birthday cards. They have a nice sized section of party goods, that will help you decorate last minute, or even planned. Who needs to spend a fortune on those items that get used and tossed in less time than it took to actually decorate with them?? The store is set up in sections so that if youre looking for cleaning supplies, school supplies (they have the much sought after poster board), holiday supplies, and so much more. Its a great place to go if youre on a tight budget, or if youre just trying to be frugal with your hard earned moola. Here is THE tip...and Shhhh...you didnt read it here. Planning on going to see a movie? Those boxes of candy add up when you're at the movies, right? You can buy the same candy at Dollar Tree, for a DOLLAR! *score* You will find pretty much anything you may need... will it be top quality? No. But you're getting a bargain to begin with. Especially if its a major holiday is approaching, they carry those great aluminum trays that we all use for cooking or reheating. They have their own private lot, shared with adjoining businesses. Well it is a Dollar Tree, stocked full of cheaply made products that we, as consumers, seem to can't live without. Such as gift wrapping paper, wrapping tissue, mailing envelops, office supplies, school supplies, household cleaning supplies, kitchen gadgets, packaged snack food, personal hygiene stuff, light bulbs, dish towels, greeting cards, frozen food, blah blah blah...all mostly off brands. You can even get Mylar filled balloons. Plus overall the staff is great. They have a seasonal section. As of 1/21/17, they had Valentine's Day, Saint Patrick's Day, and Easter items...cheap mugs, greeting cards, kids V day exchange cards, party favors, paper plates/cups/napkins, and decorations. They even have Spring gardening items such as seeds, hand tools, and soil. The overall vibe of the store reminds me of a Walmart. Everytime I come here, there is always a few random oddball customers that curse and talk in stereo level to each other even though they are standing within 2 feet of each other. So I don't come here very often, just when I'm in a pinch. read more

This is one sad Dollar Tree but it's the ONLY one in Natomas. It's also not conveniently located. You have to go deeper into the neighborhood near the Club Natomas Resort. I needed some birthday supplies for my mom's dinner party and usually they have a decent selection. Um.. nope. Unless you are 6-8 years old, hardly anything. I had two choices for table cloths and 2 choices for plates that didn't match. Usually I spend an hour at a dollar store to buy things I didn't know I needed but I couldn't do it here. Selection is low but store is smaller than average. It is just too much of a hassle to get to that it's not worth wanting to make the trip again. read more

They really need to get more cashiers for this location! The lines are not long, but they take forever to ring people up, especially if the person in front of you have a cart full of stuff! I usually only see one person manning the register! This place really needs some up keeping! Things are always on the floor, so when you have a cart to push around, trying to maneuver around the mess, it's just plain bad business! Don't even bother with Mylar balloons, they never have the ones you want, they are always out of stock! So, sometimes I am stuck just getting just plain colored ones. They need to work on stocking the shelves better, sometimes walls would be empty. Usually I come here to get party supplies for birthdays, other than that, I never come here, I try to avoid this location like a plague! I like to get in and out quick! The Dollar Tree in North Natomas is highly organized in how the merchandise is displayed, the workers are quite helpful and the store is clean. I really love coming here for the little things like fillers for favors, wrapping paper, gift bags, gift boxes, graduation stuff, etc. It's a great place. It's awesome that everything's a dollar however after you keep strolling through the aisles picking up this and that, everything pretty much adds up. The next thing you know "POOF" you are at $50. Then you question what the heck you bought...or at least that's usually me. It's worse when my kids come with me. You would be surprised at what they find and stick in your cart/basket. Be forewarned though, this place is a bit messy. There are items on the floor everywhere. Usually there's only 2 cashiers, one manager floating around somewhere (or in his/her little office off to the side of the cashiers) and maybe another person stocking the aisles. Even when the workers are "cleaning" up, they are pretty much getting the items off of the floor. I guess that's what's called "cleaning up" in their store. As far as customer service, when I call in they are pretty rude or have no idea what they are talking about. However, when I come into the store, the workers are really nice. They greet me and they even make small talk as they are ringing up my items and then send me on my merry way. This is a no frills store. There are other stores that are bigger than this one but that's okay. It has what I need for the most part. I just hate that the surround stores either get vandalized or burglarized. It's not in a too bad area. I mean come on, there's a preschool in the same strip mall next to CVS. However bad of an area can there be? Anyway, at least there's always plenty of parking. read more

My mother and I have made it a tradition to hit this Dollar Tree every time I'm in town. We do not have one in my state and so I like to stock up on treats for my students, cards, and picture frames. Sadly, there are always too many products and not enough suit case space to take everything home I'd like. Although the customer service is always great at this specific location, the product had seemed a little sparse this particular visit. This used to be the cleanest, most organized Dollar Tree and the reason we drove to visit this one compared to the one next to their house, but this visit didn't show that. Something happened to this location and they had a reopening. I luckily stopped by and was the first person through their doors. Everything was clean and organized. Staff was on hand and ready to help. I came by for Thanksgiving/Christmas odds and ends and they had some cool things that I purchased. I just really like how organized and neat everything was. The location isn't bad either. It's located in the Fitness 19/CVS shopping center. Non-ghetto - makes you feel safe even at night location. Glad a dollar store opened up in this area. I hate everything about this location. Parking is the worst! It is located in close proximity to a smoke shop...the clientele loiter around outside. I've only been here about 7 times altogether and try to avoid it if I can. A few times, customers have come in reeking of weed. The smell was so strong, I had to leave the store. A plus is that the workers are nice and work as fast as they can. But, the line is always still sooo long. read more

in terms of other dollar stores, this is by far THE CLEANEST one i have been to. there are some other ones located within the sacramento area that i've been to but the location is sketchy and the stores inside are messy and unorganized. this store still has the warehouse feel but the items are nicely organized, the staff were friendly, etc etc etc. i think this is such a great location too, with the convenience of being by CVS. whoever the property manager is did a great job because there were a lot of stores coming in and out of that particular space that weren't so successful. i'll definitely be back for birthday balloons or holiday sale items :) ! It's relatively new, so yes, it has stayed pretty organized and clean, not cluttered or messy aisles. I'm glad this is so close to me so I can grab some things quickly, and cheap. This store opened today so I had to check it out. The store is clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. While this location may be smaller than other locations, I found plenty of things to purchase. I overheard some other customers noting that there was a frozen food section (that maybe other locations didn't have). This store is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. read more

I love the Dollar Store, but this one needs more cashiers. There was only one cashier open with a line of costumers piling up. The other cashier was standing there on "break". I guess there is no break room, so she was in plain sight upfront. One agitated customer voiced his frustration. It was a horrible situation. The manager yells at the employees in front of the customers, there is product all over the floor, the shelves arent stocked properly, the line is always long, the checkers spend way too long with every customer, chit-chatting, telling personal stories, discussing the products. I go there on my lunchbreak sometimes but the place is a mess and i never get out of there under 15 minutes. its a complete wreck. i don't yelp, but this place will just waste your time. read more

Use to be a favorite store of mine, but not anymore! What an atrocious customer services experience! The initial attempt by the cashier showed some promise at least, but it quickly went downhill from there. The next level up "supervisor" could not be found, not that it mattered because when she finally did show herself, she had no intent of even wanting to attempt addressing my issue. When she then called on her supervisor (how many do they have! ) that individual's attempt at customer service was even more laughable.
