The customer service here is the worst. Specifically two men pictured here from their store's Instagram. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but when I do, it's either because it's extremely good or bad. These two men are ALWAYSSSSSSS so rude! Every time you ask them a question, they either cut you off and don't even let you finish asking your question and answer with an attitude and doesn't even answer my question, or they're very demeaning in their answers. It could be a simple question like "where can I find the bed mattresses?" And they'll give so much attitude and say it like I should know and I'm stupid, or have asked a million times already. This was my first time here. There is a lot of stuff....Went to look for a mirror for our daughter. Some of the items seemed like very discounted other items seemed a more regular price. It was hard to find an employee to ask questions but we did find one and there was one at the register. Definitely a place where you have to closely examine the item you want to purchase. And you need to go often to see what they have on hand. If we lived closer I might find it difficult to stay away. : ) read more

It's an interesting store. The products are a bit random. The prices are alright for the items sold. It's very disorganized though, and labels are often incorrect for the bins. The staff were a little rude. But if you find something you really like, it could be worth it. Many of the items are from Target we noticed. The prices were around 65% of the price they normally would be, from Target (at least from what I noticed). Saw some $5 target items for $3.75. They do limit how many items you can buy to 5 per person per day, so that does limit the consumer a bit. All in all, it's cheap. read more

This is the first time coming to this store and dont normally put negative reviews but this one could not go unheard. I am not sure who manages this store in Natomas. Here is the problem!! Horrible customer service l! Tall African american with dreads and the other gentlemen was older bald gentlemen. My family and i went in amd purchased a few things nothing out of the ordinary just a few small items. Well here is the story when i came to check out and pay the african american gentlemen did the check out for me!! He over charged me with items that i did not purchase. Told me he could not print out my receipt but they can email or text so i chose the text option. I opened the text on my way to our vehicle and noticed and extra charge. So i went back to speak to them about it and he kept saying that I purchased more items than what I said I had!! The items we in my bag and i showed him what I purchased. No more than 3 min since he had rung me up. Unveliveable l!!! Siad it more that 4 times the other gentlemen was there as well the older bald guy!!! II explained to him the situation and all he said was he wasnt there and didnt know anything. Practically calling me a liar. What place of bussiness does this. I have never ran into something like this. The quality of service here is horrible. I will never recommend this place to anyone or any of my family memebers!! Gotta admit seeing this spot on my own I would have not gone in. I only made my visit for the first time because of my sister-in-law showing me all the great finds there were inside for her! The name and big signs about additional discounts would make me think it's some cheap and janky store going out of business. NO, NO, NO. FAR FROM THAT! Walking in it's a huge warehouse with a bunch of industrial shelves stocked with home decor, home appliances + dishes, cleaning products, rugs, toys, etc. The best part about That's Cheap is the items they sell are 50% from Target. I'm talking Studio McGee and Hearth & Hand with Magnolia items too. Some still even being sold at full retail price at Target! These products are not defects and in great condition. I also snagged some girl toys for my niece: Barbie Dreamtopia, Disney ILY 4 Ever craft set, and a Lori Airport. I found out they have new products arriving everyday and have 3-4 additional locations within Sacramento. On our way to spirit Halloween store and was intrigued by the name so Stopped in. It's a mix of Target brand items and maybe Amazon. I recognized the hearth and hand brand. Mixture of household items, beauty items and food. Prices were cheap to regular for furniture. Walked out with a $70 dual stainless steel garbage can that I've been eyeing online for over $100 so thought it was a deal. Some sanitizers for 10 cents so bought a case of 48. Would definitely be back if I'm in town. Wish they had closer to Bay Area. read more

Disappointing! I was excited to come see the different location while in the area but turns out they were remodeling or something and made it into a Falling Prices so stuff was all $6 in bins and a mess. The stuff in the bins was marked originally $1-2 so not sure what the point of it is. I guess I'll stick with the other two locations near me on Watt Ave and Arden Way. read more

I love "digging" for deals and this place just gives me that opportunity haha! Right now they have pallets of hand soap which were $1.25 for a box of 6! I don't know what the hell I'm going to do with 6 bottles of hand soaps, but it was literally cheap! This location also has a bunch of patio furniture and salvaged furniture that are still in boxes which is appealing. The store does not allow you to open the boxes to check the quality, so be aware that the items may be scuffed up, stained, a little bit damaged or incomplete, and that it is FINAL SALE (a.k.a no returns). Some items are worth it like laundry detergent, cleaning sprays, sanitizing wipes, disposable bowls/plates, stationery/ office supplies. The inventory is totally random and may not be consistently stocked due to the "salvaged" nature of the store, so if you see it and it's never that cheap, just get it! read more

I think this opened about a month ago? Finally checked it out. It was not what I expected. It was more organized with a better variety but not exactly cheap either. It reminds me of Big lots. Has a lot of items from Target. I thought the furniture was rather expensive but then was later told it was all 30% off so that made it better but it's not advertised and the employees don't tell you unless you ask. A lot of items don't have prices so when I asked, the girl just said bring it up to the register and they will tell you. I can see the one off items but I think if there's a huge stack of them, it should be clearly priced. I probably would have spent more had I known but didn't want to lug a bunch of crap to the front. It's worth browsing, but not sure if is really all That Cheap compared to going any other discount store. read more

This was a pretty cool place. They have some stuff that is super cheap. For example, I picked up a case Of hand sanitizer for $8.50. I'm talking about 24 pack of 16 ounce bottles. That's CHEAP! We also picked up a case of flushable wipes, and some velvet hangers super cheap. I think the hangers normally Go for $39 bucks. We got them for $7.50. Idk what happened to this chain of stores.. new owner? Because they went down hill! I use to drive up to sac 2 or 3 times a month to go to these stores and there would be epic deals and tons of cool stuff and a fair or good price. Then they got greedy with the stupid platinum only location that you have to pay monthly for. I happen to be in the area Saturday and stopped by a location with 60%. They were tripping with the prices they had chairs that shouldn't be more than $25 marked for hundreds of dollars! Broken, dirty furniture priced at 600/700/800. What happened? Nothing was "cheap" even with 60% most of the items were over what they cost at target and Walmart to start out with. Please go back to the way it was! read more

Good deals sometimes but mostly leaving this review for the manager. Jamie is very rude and should not be working with customers. When walking up to the register, she just had complete attitude. We had separate orders between my sister and I and she was signaling to me and she said with attitude, "you need to get in line". I had been in line and she was making an assumption I was cutting in front of everyone. Talk to me like an adult and ask me instead of giving attitude. She had an annoyed look on her face the whole time. This seems to be a regular thing finding her being rude to customers and even staff. Sounds like a power trip she has but who knows. Definitely recommend going to a different location but it makes me question what type of company would hire someone like her as the face of their location. read more

THATS CHEAP is one of the best Bargain places around. I have been to Thrift stores, other closeout stores and many other places looking for deals and unusual items. This store keeps its' stock fairly clean and organized. The prices are for the most part very low and very affordable even to a cheap skate like me. Do not support this business! The workers and even the managers are racist, unhelpful, slow, and rude. They did not help bring the furniture to the front for customers to pay for. They expect their customers to get the furniture off the shelves and from the back to the cashier themselves. After confronting the workers about this, they said they have a policy of not helping customers bring their furniture to the front when they're about to close the store. This makes no sense we had already paid for the furniture and were told to wait for the workers to bring up the furniture since the items are heavy. We asked the workers to see the policy and they said they don't need to prove it but it's true. However, the workers helped people who are not Asians moved their furniture from the back to the front. Do not spend your money here for a business who does not respect or want to help you!! read more

Remember when That's Cheap used to be good?! Jesus christ, what happened to this place? Each location I visit is terrible. First of all, the prices are not cheap! Dirty, broken furniture for like $1k-$2k!? I was looking at their food and almost all of the food was expired. I'm pretty sure it's not legal to sell expired food. The store is also soooo dirty. I use to visit all of the locations to see all of the great deals but at this point, you should just buy the item for retail price at Target and actually return/exchange the item if you wanted to because half of the stuff here is damaged, not even cheap. I love these stores! All of them are managed differently, and there are different items each week at each location. This location is the closest to me, and has a lot of furniture to offer. But I also find other great household items here. I took my daughter shopping for her dorm room and basically spend $200 for most of what she needed. I only had to pick up a few other misc items at another store. Great bargains! I don't need Target in my life anymore, I just go here instead. read more
