Store was clean in general. Everything is neatly organized and color coordinated. Which I appreciated! It made sorting thru the racks super easy and stress free. They have a lot of clothes. Very plus size friendly. Another appreciation thought from me. The only thing I would say that the clothes were a bit dirty. Not sure if thrift stores pre wash their clothes before selling but multiple pieces I found were dirty with trash & lint. Which made it displeasing and unpresentable to buy. Prices are fair. Ranges from $2.99-$4.99 a shirt and $5.99+ for jeans. The parking is very small since they share it with IHOP and other restaurants and stores. So it can be limited. The workers were nice. read more

The thing is, I don't like visiting this store due to the fact that they have no A/C making it feel scorching hot. I would like to shop in peace but unfortunately is not doable. I take my own water to try and be there as much as I need but then I have to use the restroom, but there is no bathroom for customers. I don't understand how the Owner of this merchant store would like us to shop here with zero a/c and no bathroom access. We are much better going off to Eco and Goodwill and not feel like I just got out the gym. read more

this thrift store has a quirky vibe and I didn't even mind their contemporary Christian music. their prices are good, lots of discount days and staff are friendly. The not so good: prices are written in hen scratch, sone are hard to read, and prices vary greatly. some items are really overpriced but with so many potential discounts it kinda works out. check out can be slow bc some customers buy a lot of stuff, especially on discount days! some clothes items look like they haven't been laundered so it appears they accept clothes in all conditions. parking lot can be tight. Bargain World is one of my go-to thrift stores in Sac. They have affordable prices, even for the more luxury brands. They also have sales going on all of the time. On top of that, if you spend a certain amount (I spent $21), you can get a 50% off coupon for your next Sunday visit. They are located in a fairly busy shopping center, so the parking lot feels pretty cramped. However, you should have no problems finding a spot. Another thing to note is that during the majority of my visits, I do not have a shopping cart because they are so scarce. It is a good size store, not too small but not very big. They have the isles easily organized by item and size. The isles can get a bit tight when you are trying to get by other shoppers. Their furniture and shoe areas are my favorite because they have lots of stock in those. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful as well. It's overall a very promising thrift store. I've found some really cool pieces for great prices! read more

I don't go thrifting often but I found this place here in Yelp when I needed to shop second hand for something. I left with much more than what I needed! I was surprised at the total at the end because almost everything ended up having an additional discount. They have limited baskets and no shopping bags. They did offer me a box to take my things in. Five stars actually. I just went back here for emergency clothes shopping and dang. If this isn't the best thrift store in town I don't know what you want. They have everything actually sorted by color, and if you shop at all during the previous week and spend $20, you get 75% off almost everything in the store that Sunday (excluding shoes I found out). My ADHD could barely handle it. I always just buy stuff on sale so that narrows down my options. But having an entire store to just...buy anything? Holy crap y'all. It's a Christian store too as I said so not only will you hear Christian music playing year round, lots of customers will talk about God while you're shopping which is just pleasant to me, being a Christian myself. You can strike up convos with anyone in the store and most people here don't have an attitude, though sadly they are still subject to thieves. You would think robbing a thrift store where only poor people shop would be unheard of but some people are beyond low-class. Trash place with rude workers. I bought my daughter a pair of boots here yesterday and when we got home, she put them on and the whole base of the shoe fell off. Looked like it had been glued on. She didn't even to get to wear them one time out of the house. I came in today to see if we could exchange them and she just pointed to a sign that said no returns or exchanges and wouldn't even listen to me. Said that's their policy. So annoying that they sold a completely unfunctional pair of damaged shoes for $7 and have a policy of not even accepting an exchange when I literally purchased them not even 24 hours ago. Went to bargain world for the first time today. All the price tags are written in scribbles.. I put a sweater onto get scanned and didn't notice what I thought was $2.99 was actually a scribbled $29.99.. I have just swiped my card when I noticed the cost. I asked them to remove it but the manager said it was my fault and there was absolutely no refunds. I understand that the sign was posted.. but it literally was two seconds after I paid. Even then the manager was SO RUDE. Customer service here is horrible!! The clothes mostly appeared old, stained and raggedy. Plus this place smelled like armpits. Great thrift store, even greater low prices. Most things are under $4, and there is a section where things are "nicer/newer" for over $5. I went on a Thursday afternoon and everything was 50% off (even the stuff from the "nice" section.) The store is a bit small, but there were very few other shoppers so it didn't feel cramped. Today is August 27,the deals are green tag is 75% off and Pink is 50%,Senior is 50%. I came with my 2 toddlers and I wasn't pay attention during payment,I noticed when I payed with my debit card,she mentioned $50,and I was like really? In the same time,one of my toddler were fussy and I don't want to spend my time to check all the items,until I got home and saw the items supposedly 50% off,but she claimed with full price. You all are getting soooo greedy. You get the stuff you sell DONATED. That means you get a 100% profit from your sales. My husband and I have noticed your prices have more than doubled the last few months. So when 50% Mondays and Thursdays come around, you aren't getting an actual deal. Case in point, we went in there yesterday (monday 1-29-24), looking for a blender. WE WERE SHOCKED. For a USED plastic blender, they had a whopping $39.99 on it. Like what? That's still $20 for a used blender. Went home and looked up the same blender, it was $30 NEW on Amazon! The dishes they sell? Laughable. Most were priced $40 and up for their sets. You can get a brand new set at Walmart, Marshall's or Ross for that price or cheaper. Plus. I just read a review where the manager went off on an elderly, disabled lady and told her she could spend her money else where? So can my family and me. We used to be in there all the time. We won't anymore. Your prices have gone way too high and your customer service has gone way too low. Take it from someone who has lived their ENTIRE life here, this town is a dead zone for thrift stores. Not enough people and you are in competition with other thrift stores. Goodwill. Salvation Army. Walmart. And the outlet stores (Ross, DDs, Marshalls.) I have seen thrift stores in this area ONE RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER go out of business for less. Today @ Bargain World, I was treated HORRIBLY! Today's Fiasco has given Bargain World, 2 STARS LESS!! Another shopper & I, were discussing prices, on KEURIG coffee makers(great prices), a brand new BELLA single blender, marked $40, which is $15 more than AmazonI The manager/owner, only overheard my comments about the blender being overpriced, and not about their other items, with GREAT PRICES! He's usually, very nice, to me, but for no darn reason, he just went off on me! He says, If I did not like their prices, I could go elsewhere & followed that up with a bunch of verbal nonsense! Who tells their GOOD customers, to take their $ elsewhere? An idiot? He also, accused me of yelling, talking to myself! Lol. (I was actually talking to a very kind man, but I do talk to myself, who doesn't? I was not @ time in question. Lol). I am 80 percent deaf/hearing impaired, so I do talk loud, (it goes with my disability)! I was having, a very nice day, until he tried to ruin it! I WAS NOT YELLING, HE WAS! He did his best, to EMBARRASS, INSULT & OFFEND ME, I just let him, run his ignorant DISRESPECTFUL mouth, knowing he was WRONG , he is gonna pay for treating me badly! I DESERVED TO BE TREATED BETTER, WE ALL DO!
