We recently went and saw the kids Småland was open again! It has been closed for so long so the kids were excited to try it out. We decided to drop of the kids there while went and grabbed food at the restaurant. There were kiosks to sign up and provide you children's information. They allow children 37 inches and 54 inches, starting with age 3. Children must be potty trained as well. Once we signed up at the kiosk, we checked in at the counter. This day they allowed kids to stay for 30 minutes inside. The staff completing the check in was very pleasant. They give wristbands for the kids to wear, and you write down your name and number. They have the kids enter and will text you if the kids need you or when your time is up. When our time was up we picked up our kids and they had a great time. They had no issues and already asked to come back. Check out process was seamless. We did feel the kids were safe and will definitely plan drop off the kids again!

The location is a great. It's in a vast shopping center surrounded by other businesses and restaurants, mainly the Super Walmart, the parking lot here is so massive that you shouldn't have an issue finding parking. However, IKEA gets pretty busy on weekends. This place is absolutely massive after their renovation and you can spend hours in here. It's literally a maze of cool furniture and it's great for showing you new ideas. The food court is really good. The prices got stuck in the early 2000's and is really affordable for 2026. I'd say expect to walk out of here for about $20 for a meal for two. The portions are decent and you should get full after your meal. I love the flavor of the meatballs covered in gravy and the cranberry sauce Bottom line/TLDR: IKEA FOODCOURT MEATBALLS

I like wandering around and browsing and getting ideas about home improvements and furniture additions. There is A LOT to look at so it's important to stay focused. Got some ideas for shoe racks but TBH when I wear a women's size 11 and hubby wears size 13 the options are limited. But nonetheless there was a couple choices. What was off was their new all gender bathrooms. They are alllllll single stall. And a communal wash basin. It was ok but j can imagine the area will be crazy crowded during the holidays. Had to make a stop for lingonberry soda before we left. Gratefully they had to go cups today (unlike last time).love this drink.

I love going to IKEA! There are so many things to look at and so many options of furniture. It can be over whelming though. We came here on Saturday to look for floating shelves and a drawer. We walked through most of the levels. The line for the cafeteria was so long. We waited 30-40 in line. I wish there were more workers and they said their soda machine was broken so people couldn't get drinks. We got the Swedish meatballs and the salmon with garlic bread. I would say the price is fairly decent. I think we checked out for three items around $180. Building the stuff doesn't come with clear instructions but it's pretty easy to figure out. I definitely need to come back for other housing needs.

We did the scavenger hunt with our son while picking up a few items, it was fun. I enjoy this location as it seems to usually have what I need in stock as well as fun community events.

Ikea is as Ikea does. Hej! We cut straight to the restaurant which is middling but cheap and that view can't be beat.

Proud of my grandson who scanned a huge quantity of items in my cart. However, I would've preferred not to scan at all.

I used to love coming to IKEA. Unfortunately, each visit I like it a little less. When my grandson and I got to the restaurant, there was only one employee working so there was long lines and they were out of so many dishes and it was only 12 noon. They have kids meals, but for some reason the two chicken strips with french fries is not a kids meal so it's $10 which I think is quite a bit. I ended up ordering a kids meal and paid half the price. And we all know it's a purposeful maze here in order to entice people to buy more products. But my grandson was having an allergy attack and had to go to the bathroom and it took us so long to find a place. And now it's only self check out. Not only do you scan all your items you have to bag them as well. The only bags they have are ones that you have to purchase. It was a daunting experience, which I don't care to repeat.

That is a large welt and bruise from an injury at Ikea.

I have shopped at Ikea before it even came to west sac, I would travel a couple hours to get to the closest location. On April 28th I went shopping and there were very few employees that seemed helpful, I would see them gathered around talking amongst themselves instead of checking with customers. The big item I purchased needed to come from behind the counter. I ended up getting injured, at first I thought it would just hurt for a bit and stop, but it's didn't it's a large welt and my arm is in pain. The employee that was there when it happen just turned around and walk away. So I have tried to call to get a hold of someone to let them know what happen. They have collected my information multiple times at the call center stating I will get a call back from a manager at the store, never happened.Again, I am on the phone with them trying to get someone on the phone. You would assume if a customer got injured at your business you'd want to see what happen. I just hope no one else gets injured!

I've been desperately trying to persuade my husband to accompany me to IKEA for yyeearrrsss now, without success. He said it was a divorce-worthy request LOL. A You-Tuber review I watched recently called IKEA "a labyrinth where couples go to break up", so is this a thing? Is my Hubs correct? Well, I'm here to report he may have been on to something! I planned a girls trip this past weekend to play the FAMOUS IKEA Bingo & eat the equally famous IKEA meatballs. After a few people flaked, it was just me and my SIL, and I can confirm my husband would have *HATED* my ADHD wandering around a maze of shit that you really want, but need NONE OF IT. I can easily see how you could spend all day in here. It's colorful, inexpensive and sooo alluring to the eye. You can make a case for almost every gadget & trinket you see. We were absolutely cackling at the names of every useful looking item in out best Muppet's Swedish Chef voice. It's fun in here, for sure. One thing worth mentioning is there are many items displayed that have been discontinued (years ago, an associate told us!) or are frequently out of stock, which makes it hard to gauge what's actually available! Pro tip: PREREGISTER for Bingo. It fills up weeks in advance! 200 people came to play on a random Fri evening! The upstairs was PACKED. It's free to play and FUNNNN!!! Unpopular opinion - the food court offerings are TRASH. They say never meet your heroes. Frozen supermarket meatballs, hard WinCo Texas toast, and *very* fishy salmon. 1/2 of the fountain drinks had no syrup so you just got sparkling water for the price of soda. The Disney-esque queue took almost 30 minutes to get thru and cut into the Bingo game, and they had already run out of literally everything 20 minutes prior to 6pm. Even the seemingly instant spuds that come with practically every dish. No desserts, no fruit, no add-on sides. Just empty cases. If Bingo happens monthly - and is scheduled weeks in advance - and you know it brings an additional 200 guests for food - what happened? Seems weird to run out of so many options at a cafeteria-style restaurant that serves a 265,000 sq. ft. retail store. The price point & simple DIY nature of their furniute makes it a slam dunk for dorms or first apartments. The accessories are the icing -whimsical, affordable and in a palate of colors to match just about any decor. Overall, driving from Reno for Bingo & meatballs, it was a fun overnight trip, and I'm glad I came but it's a one-off for me.

Q uality/Quantity - If you are following, we (my wife) are back shopping at Ikea. We were at your Emeryville location a week or so ago and here we are now. Good value and decent quality. Think affordable college kid vibes. But more importantly, think well designed tiny home vibes. Lastly, think reasonably priced, gift giving furniture that I can actually deliver and assemble myself. Atmosphere - Huge location. Plenty of parking. I appreciate the fact that you updated this location with solar. See pictures. I also enjoy the "covered" parking, again with the solar panels. Service - Self service, so great. Also great return policies. Price - Affordable. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1943 and your 479+ locations. I would like to see a location in Reno. :) What, I did not know you operated a franchise system?!?!

my boyfriend and I love going to ikea for a quick, affordable, and reliable meal. this location did not disappoint! service was quick and location was clean. food was consistently good! got to try the red velvet cake for the first time and it was delicious! we enjoy walking off our meal in the store afterwards! would come to this location again!

We haven't made it out to Ikea in a few years. We finally went back on Saturday. We found a few deals. My sister liked the bathroom rugs I got from Ikea. I got her one also. I noticed this time a lot of items with out price signs. Usually every is labeled for price and what the item is or used for. Small thing but kind of need to know how much or what it even is lol Restaurant was to busy to try some thing. I forgot about the little Cafe down by the registers. But it looked closed. We liked the cinnamon roll last time.

The dresser I purchased had to be handed to me at a different area.

    Ask the Community - IKEA

Is the cafe open for dine-in or takeout?

Hello, the cafe is open for dine-in! Although, the line was long (when I was there last month) since there's limited seating space/social distancing. Hope this helps!

Does ikea close early on weekdays?

    10am to 9pm every day

Is the restaurant finally open for dine-in?

It is currently open. Dessert items are in sealed containers. There are drinks in cans and bottles. There is a plexiglass barrier for hot meals. You order one at a time and serves through a small opening.… Read more

What is the best time to come to ikea besides the weekend? Just drove here on Sunday and saw how long the line was and said forget it. Waited ten minutes in the parking lot and didn't see it move. Is the line still that long during the week days?

Ikea has horrible Customer Service. Find another Furniture dealer preferably a local one.

How long are the weekend queues?

A month ago the line wound around 5 or 6 times before the store even opened 😳. Then they let people into the store in groups then would hold the line for awhile.

Are there still plenty of desk available? Nothing too pricey though. TIA☺️

    Better to look on line

Is there still a line to get in the store?

Not in the evenings, but we were driving by this past Sunday around 10am and there was a long line visible from the freeway.

Is ikea open right now? I look on my maps and it says temporarily closed? But I thought they had opened up again

It is opened. Get there early to avoid the line

Is this location open for in person shopping? Not sure if it's still close from COVID-19

Per there website they are open. Just not the restaurant

Does IKEA have electric shopping carts for disabled people to sit in while shopping?

    Never seen any.

Can I return the items I got wrong without recipe ?I have ikea's member card. But I lost the recipe.

If you used your IKEA Family card when you bought it they can look it up. Otherwise they won't give you a refund, and probably not even an exchange.

    Do they accept Apple Pay?

    Yes

    Do they have self checkout?

Not any more, they removed the self checkout a few years back.

Does this location have a drop off are for kids while parents shop? Any age limitations? Thanks yelp helpers!

Yes they do. Not sure about how old they must be though

I misplaced a few parts to a bedframe on a move recently like a couple cams and dowels. Can these be purchased individually or kept on-site as a courtesy?

Yes! In the as- is section towards the front of the store they have a bin of extra parts like the cams and dowels they sell in bulk. Its pretty cheap. I think it's like $5 for a sandwich bag full. Not sure what they charge if you just want 3… Read more

Can I exchange a mattress within the 365 days guarantee without a receipt?

    I don't think so.

Can I return items if I don't have the boxes or packages to them?

Nope, they won't take back unless you have the packaging and it's never been assembled.

Are they open on the New Years. 2018? Most store are closed but now with the way retail is, more stores are being open.

Sunday (NYE) 10A-6P Monday (NYD) 10A-9P

Does IKEA do kitchen remodels? If I pick out the stuff, will they install it?

Yes! But my personal opinion is that you shop around and avoid IKEA kitchen remodel all together. I am currently having one install and since day 2 it's been a nightmare. The whole process has been horrible and mainly I think it's a communication… Read more
