This review is solely based on the gal at the checkout counter today at 12:03. I laid the cash for my purchase (adding $$ to make an even $5.00 in change) on the counter and she pushed the money off the counter on my side and as she did she literally shook her head at me, to which I asked her "if she just shook her head at me for some reason" and her response was a snarky "no" head shake. Miss bad attitude girl needs to have a lesson in customer service. It takes one poor employee to lose long time customers. read more

I bought 8 bags of dog treats , but upon check out the cashier put 4 into a bag and the decided it was too full and pulled two back out. Now she couldn't figure out how may she had already scan! when I told her it was a total of 8 it didn't help. she called for a supervisor, but none appeared. Getting tired if the wait I put all items back on the counter and told her to start over. Only later did it occur to me she probably couldn't count! What are our schools graduating?! read more

The healthy and beauty department is my fave; I find the absolute best deals on Korean skin care and hair products for curly hair. I'm like a fly on poop when I see a TJ Maxx store and I always need to pop in to see what new stuff they have especially around the time of a holiday - Valentine's Day currently. I walked in telling myself not to go overboard, but walked out $100 more poor! We took home some clothes for our daughter, a super cool Valentine's Day candy stool for her desk, some Korean Skincare and a new phone case - plus more! TJ Maxx just has so much to offer - I love checking out their cooking items, their mugs, their home décor and even their snack aisles - you also can't forget about those last minute items that they like to strategically place right before the registers that you absolutely do not need to buy! Even their clearance sections sometimes have hidden gems! Service is usually pretty friendly when you're checking out, but I feel like they never have any staff walking around offering any assistance. read more

Was in the area so we decided to drop in and shop a little. As expected, it was busy for a Sunday afternoon. Placed was packed. Racked were pretty's stocked so we had plenty to look through. It made it easy to lure us to pick up a few things. The only concern we had was the wait in line to pay. It didn't appear that there was a lack of people behind the counter. I was expecting more than three cashiers with a full line. One seemed to be training a new employee . I've been in retail for close to 13 years in store and leadership roles. A full line is revenue. The quicker we service the line, the more we increase revenue. The more customers are delivered great service, the more they come back to spend more. Solid brand with great prices. Can't be great at both without service. read more

I went into this TJ Maxx tonight with my husband and infant daughter, and everything was fine until checkout. My daughter was babbling like babies do, and the cashier I believe her name tag said Karen and it for sure said "Coordinator"under her name. While checking out she looked at my daughter and said "f***ing loud" out loud, because she was babbling. I was honestly shocked and just looked up at her in the moment. That was extremely unprofessional, rude, and inappropriate especially to say in front of a customer and toward a literal child. Families should feel welcome and comfortable shopping here, not judged or disrespected. She is very lucky I stayed calm, because that comment was completely out of line. I hope management (I'll be contacting them also) addresses this, as this type of behavior does not reflect well on the store at all. read more

This store is probably the worst in the city based solely on the contents. They don't ever have any nice hidden treasures or any other good products whenever I visit. I have only visited a handful of times as a result. The parking lot is nice and the inside is nice and clean. Organized to the standard. This is one of the smallest TJ Maxx in Sacramento. I think it is due to the size of the store. The men's clothes section is very tiny! TJ Maxx is one of the best stores if you're a bargain hunter--no matter if you're shopping for clothing, shoes, household items, etc. The checkout counter is moving quickly. I love going here for the sales. Staff are friendly and the clearance section is where I like to we shop. They have name brands here that is off season but definitely more bang for your buck. Lines can be long but they do a good job keeping it moving. read more

We found some great dog toys here!! Our dog loves the soft toys that have the squeaky balls sewn into them, so it's half stuffed animal and half fetch toy. TJ Max had a great variety of options at a good price. We ended up coming home with far more than the couple toys we were looking to grab for our dog for Christmas. The rest of the store was fine and seemed organized, but we didn't find anything else that peaked our interest. These are definitely the types of stores you want to come to for browsing more than for specific items. read more

I was shocked by how your staff treated me and my 10-month-old baby. A fitting room attendant told me I had to leave my baby outside while I tried on clothes. That is not only unacceptable -- it's dangerous. If my mother hadn't been with me, I would've had to leave my baby alone. Is that really your store policy? Horrible experience. read more

Shared parking lot. Clean interior. Not too busy in the early evening. I had a return, which was very quick. I browsed around and made a purchase afterwards, and the line had grown to ~5 people. The staff don't wear masks, and the hand sanitizer is out for cashiers to use, not customers. There did seem to be a staff member near the back of the store that may have to watching for shoplifting. Kind of made me uncomfortable since he was empty-handed the entire time and we kept crossing paths in the aisles. read more

This awesome store is located in North Natomas, in the huge shopping center filled with other stores and restaurants. TJ's has a variety of things they offer from clothing for the entire family, to Knick knacks for your home. They are my shopping indulgence because I can always find great specialty items for gift giving all year long. I do love thee beauty section because deals and steals are frequently found there. I absolutely LOVE this location! As an avid FASHIONISTA - I love to shop at TJMaxx for the savings but also for all the random designers that they carry! It's nice to have a mixture of different designers with unique pieces that you know, no one else will have. Unlike if you shop at places like 4ever21 or H&M, then you fear that you might have a "Who Wore it Better" moment with some rando at the airport. Yeah no, i try to avoid that situation like the plague and by doing that - I shop at TJMaxx. With this said, I've shopped at many TjMaxx stores and sadly they don't all share the availability and variety as they all should. In my current residence city of Henderson, NV - that location is no where near as nice as THIS location and the selection can not compare. This location is clean, organized and seems to have a lot more name brands - with a ton of inventory! If I lived here I would come here every other day to see what new things they put on the well organized shelves. It was so easy for me to find size small items and the size 7 shoe rack area actually had cute shoes to choose from! Shocked; its usually slim pickings in the size 7 area since it's such a common shoe size! Everyone that works her is friendly and wears a smile on their face. They are also so stylish and provide great comments on the clothes you try on, like they actually care about fashion; it's nice compared to other locations which lack this genuine customer service. Id give 0 stars if i could. I got a cute halloween blanket from here and was so excited. Went and washed it before using it of course and even after washing twice, it had fleas on it and im COVERED in flea bites after only having it at my house for 1 night. I dont have pets and none of my stuff had fleas before this dang blanket. Absolutely disappointed. They coupdnt return it because of the issue. Avoid their blankets at all cost or youll pay 20+ dollars for fleas. read more

Today 11/11/18 was the grand opening of the TJ Maxx in Natomas. it is located next Bed Bath & Beyond in the Target shopping center. They opened at 8 am but we arrived 9am. They gave out a limited supply of bottled waters and custom made logo cookies. They were out by the time we left at 10. They were packed!! The line snaked to the back of the store. Luckily they had 2-3 extra registers to handle the crowd and the line moved quickly. Anyway, it is a brand new store as believe that building was vacant. With that said it is a beautiful store and very open. Fully packed with lots to choose from. People had their carts full of stuff. Good timing with the holidays. I have somewhat a unique perspective as I had worked 9 years for TJM so I am very familiar with department product, merchandising, and layouts etc... so when I noticed bad price point signage, I let a manager know (guy dressed in a suit with earpiece). He never said thank you or any word to me in fact. Hmnn. At least he went to go change it. With that said, customer service was not great other than the store manager who greeted folks in the cashier line. No smiles or hellos. I suppose that will come with time. We are excited to have one near us. Its a great location and they should do well. Parking is open and easy. The prices are competitive. This rude lady snapped her fingers and told us to hurry up because they were closing then she proceeded to talk shit about customers. Very unprofessional rude and mean snappy unhappy lady. Store closes at 10pm per the tj max website. We walked in at 9:45 and instead of getting welcomed in to the store she screamed at us and said they close in 1 minute and that we better hurry. I explained to her that it was 9:45 and we still have 10 minutes she then proceeded to snap her fingers at us and yelled to " hurry hurry hurry". Another customer came in after us and she yelled the same thing at her. She then told the other cashiers " idk why these people come in so late and began to whisper things about the customers" This was such a bad experience especially since I am out of town in a new city. Finally a TJ Maxx near me!!! I've been meaning to get over here when I had the chance. This was my first time here. I was looking for home decor, they didn't have much of a selection. Seemed pretty small. But, I was able to find a few things that I wanted (not needed, LOL). The store was pretty clean and organized. Things were easily located with signage. Their clothing and shoe selections looked pretty decent. They had really good prices compared with Ross locations. The staff here were really nice and made me felt welcomed! I was here during my lunch break, but will have to return and browse some more when I have more time. Just glad there is another option to shop for home decor instead of heading over to Ross across the way. read more

Absolutely thrilled that there is now a TJ Max in Natomas! Came in to check it out the day after the Grand Opening and it was all I have come to expect from the Maxx. Typical store layout, I just felt like this store was a tad more spacious than most TJ Maxx's. They had all your usual items stocked. I was hoping for a special of some sort for the Grand Opening but didn't find that. The customer service seemed really good as all the associates I encountered were extremely nice, helpful and chipper! Hopefully not just due to the Grand Opening. I look forward frequenting the store in hunt of good houseware and clothing deals that I normally find there. read more

This is a good store with a plethora of items. The bathrooms were clean to my surprise which is actually important especially when you have kids. Stuff was organized and the staff was helpful. They did not have much men's workout items but I found 1 thing on the women's side of the place. There is usually plenty of items over there. read more

I came in browsing this afternoon and was welcomed to a clean and well stocked store. Usually the beauty area is a mess. Things thrown every where and a disorganize assortment of items is what I usually see at TJ Maxxs, but not at this location! Everything was placed on the shelves nicely and there were plenty of options. Their cookware isle and stationary were well organized too. I came in looking for a new phone case and that selection was a little lack luster. Not too many designs or sizes to pick from, but they do have Kate spade & speck cases! Luckily, I found one I liked and got in line. They had a few registers open, but the urgency was lacking. The line was long and cashiers were moving at a very slow pace. I can see myself stopping by whenever I'm in the area, but maybe in the early morning or late evening when it's not so busy and the cashiers don't have as many customers to attend to. read more

One of my go-to stores for buying gifts. Pricing is reasonable as they advertised. Store is clean and organized. They have the usual clearance section that isn't always organized (as do all TJ Maxx and sister stores are). The store is decent in size, any bigger and I would've become a regular there. Staff is okay, they have someone friendly doing head counts who also welcomes you. All the other staff are okay, I don't have too much interaction with them other than when I go up to cashier so there's really nothing to be said about them. There's a sanitizing station as well. All staffs are wearing masks. This was the first store I came to after Christmas hoping to get some after Christmas sales but I did not see any. Literally alllll the Christmas stuff were gone, not even a scrap of paper saying there was any Christmas sale. I'm a bit disappointed in that, what store does that? If you can't find what you like here, try their sister store across the street next to Ross. They have some pretty cool stuff. read more

Was in the shopping center at some other stores so decided to stop in here as well .. during a time of pandemic and the need for social distancing, the employees here are not very helpful. While we were walking in, one of their employees were walking in behind us and was way too close even for non social distancing parameters. If she were that in a hurry, she could have went around us. We weren't walking slow. She didn't need to be so close behind us. Then as we are looking at items in the back home section, another employee comes out with some merchandise to put back and she gets super close to us to get by. She could have waited for us to walk past but instead she got super close to us and told us to move so she could get by..seriously?!? I was not impressed with this tj maxx location. I frequently go to the one in Elk Grove which is way more stocked and organized than this one. Giving one star for the employee at the front door who was nice and greeting people coming and going. read more
