    Assorted acrylics

I came here recently to buy items for an arts and crafts project for work. They had a huge selection paint and acrylics along with brushes, paint dishes in a variety of sizes and also holiday decor. I was impressed at how they even had items less than the Dollar Tree such as the paint dishes. I had called prior to coming asking if they had specific items that I was looking for. A sales associate answered and was very friendly and helpful. In fact, she assured me that I could get her help once I arrived at the store. Excellent customer service from all the staff bc as I continued to browse I asked other sales associates for help and they were all able to help me. So- kudos to the hard-working staff at this store! There was just a couple of items that they did not have such as soil for planting, in which they had ceramic pots and other gardening projects. They also did not have large rocks for painting. Overall, the people at work for whom I purchased the items were all very pleased with the material for the fun project we did that day.

Michael's is my go-to for all things crafts! I used to live in this store during my sorority days and forgot how amazing this store is! I recently hosted a 'Saltburn' themed party (iykyk) and they had all the things I needed to decorate! They always have great sales too! Clean store, friendly staff, great parking and so many crafting supplies to choose from! Love it here!

I go here for one or 2 things in sale because the deals are always good! LOCATION: I'm Arden near The Howe About Arden shopping center between the century theater, the container store and Starbucks. DECOR: A setup to sell. Typical warehouse shopping decor usually themed to the holidays. Shelves of supplies fill the space with a photo framing table area I'm the back and counters up front near the entrance. PRICE: I've come to learn that almost everything here at full price is way too expensive. Even the"half priced" frames are sometimes the full price of other brands with the same dimensions and not notably better. However, there are times when those items have a coupon or deal. Basically, get the app and use the coupons. They work. STAFF: Always helpful and friendly. Hard to find though. I spend more time looking for help than I do looking for what's on my list. I swear there needs to be some sort of service Bell or something. EXPERIENCE: Michael's is cool to stop by for a few on sale items here and there, but this place is really for middle income Crafters, not lower income artists. Not really for artists overall. There are always deals which makes me believe that nothing is a deal. I've found what I was looking for here when I've come, but it's better to find out what is available and buy it somewhere else.

U.S.A. States Ice Cube Tray! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=seKeKsBlhD-N4WprkY7LbQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w SITREP Oh my GAWD! The coolest stuff is at "MY" store! I love "MY" store! And since my business-name is "Michael", any store named after "ME" is "MY" store, just sayin. THE SETUP This location of Michaels has only been open a little more than a week, and so recently, that apparently no other Yelpers have bothered to "Yelp" it yet. So I changed that and created this business page since I could not find any others for it on Yelp. It is in the refurbished "Howe 'Bout Arden" plaza area where Punchline, MOD Pizza and Pinkberry are also located. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES At the entrance is "MY" table, and so I take it as my civic duty to stay at the welcoming table and perform greeting responsibilities (or until kicked out). https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=IAk1qWRGdYRDrKFKfl1zAQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE STUFF The Ice Cube Tray was just loads of fun. [Yelper Larissa J. and I would fight over who could to have OREGON melting in their mouth, so we each need one.] But there was lots of other stuff we'll have to get on a later visit. This crayon dollhouse I see as a future project in our training work group if Larissa has her way! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=FLWiG3aVRooZXSs2L8uNGQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w Sadly, I had left piles and PILES of these Conch shells on Bahamian beaches just a couple of weeks ago. If I had realized there was money to be made off them, I woulda snuck 1000 or so back in my suitcase. :D https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/michaels-sacramento-5?select=oHM-XINXG-mHpyiJBbzZYw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE LOWDOWN Michaels is a great place to grab your favorite arts & crafts items!

If you are looking for yarn, don't go here. They have almost nothing., and they are out of stock for many colors. Waste of time.

They have a wonderful selection--everything from canvases to clay supplies and of course painting supplies. Today we picked up new oil pastels on a great deal of $2.49 each if you buy 6 or more. We also selected some of their value packs of canvases (although they also sell individual canvases) and a wide variety of paints. Something I love about this store is that several times a year, they select a nonprofit to run a donation drive for. I'm in my 30s and I still get shy to ask for help and just kinda freeze and hope I can google my question ‍ For my a watercolor class I needed various brushes and I love the bulk discount they offer, so that helps with budgeting. I came in during a weekday afternoon and was able to decompress. Their pottery item selection is pretty versatile and the employees are very helpful if you need any assistance. I love that they have a "stay as long as you want" policy and I was told you can also bring your item home and come back another time to finish if needed too. Most of the pottery items range from about $22+. Considering it is a women owned + local small business, I am all for supporting it. Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge is located inside the Pavilions on Fair Oaks Blvd next to Piatti. We walked inside and it was pretty busy, but they had plenty of space and lots of seating. We put our names in and they told us it would be about an hour before we would be able to sit and paint - so we walked around and checked out all of the ceramic options available. They had so many cute options from bowls, to mugs, to piggy banks, to jewelry boxes to platters - I could go on and on! All ranging in different sizes and pricing! For the 4 of us, we decided on a cute set of Valentine's Day gnomes, a fairy jewelry box, a donut jewelry box and a big cafe mug. All paints, paintbrushes, stencils, etc. are included in the painting fee which is $15 per adult and $13 per child. Between the 4 of us and all of our choices, it was just shy of $200 so you're looking at roughly $50 a person which is a lot, but you also don't have a time limit on how long you can stay and with our party of 4, I think we were close to almost 2 hours. Once you are done painting, they will take your ceramic and it will go in the kiln during the week. You will need to come back on whatever day they tell you for pick up - for us, it is this Wednesday after 4pm. Overall, we had a great time at Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge! This is perfect for a birthday party, Sunday Funday or even a date night. We will absolutely be returning soon! I highly recommend making a reservation though if you can!
