New name is iRepair. Guy does very good work. My iPad Mini had a crack in the center and he was able to repair it excellently. I found this store after looking through my maps and decided to give it a try after looking at both positive and negative reviews. The price for my repair had me sold. Everyone has their own opinion but I wouldn't put too much stock into complaints about the two day wait. My tablet did take two days but only because he didn't have the screen he needed in stock at the time. Personally I don't mind a two day max wait if the job is being done right which it was. I got my tablet back looking brand new plus he provides a 90 day warranty in case you feel something is working right. So there's nothing to lose in trying. A few weeks ago, my PlayStation 4 started to turn off automatically after I would turn it on. I thought at first there was dust where the air port in the back of the system, but after multiple tries, it still would turn off. I looked up online on where to fix my console and Game Time Repair came up first with 4 stars on Google. I took it in on a Friday and they said that I had "The Blue Light of Death" where the fluid was low in the system. Not only did they refill it up, but they also fixed some other parts in my system that was gonna go bad in a couple months without extra pay. I picked it up on a Monday and it only cost me 50 bucks (20 dollars for the check up and 30 for the fix) The service was excellent! the prices were great, and their way on communication at the store and on the phone was like you were talking to your own friend! If you need a good fix for your phone, iPad, console or any other electronic, go to Game Time Repair! I live in Deerfield and the drive to Countryside was so worth it in the end lol read more

After seeing the latest comment to my review from the presumed owner, I have to just say that while his corporate policy may be to contact people regularly, I was not. They left ONE voicemail for me over the four weeks that my xbox was with them and that was immediately returned, and that was the request to bring in games. I'd informed the person who called that my work hours and their hours were the same, so it might take me a while to bring in games. Also, when my car doesn't start and I take it to the mechanic, the mechanic will POP the hood and look to ensure all the wires, connections, and lines are solid and intact. Your staff didn't do anything more but turn it on and put a disc in...then told my mother that movie DVDs were skipping because of the INTERNET! Um, as I said before....no. Stay away, especially knowing that this guy will LIE. Oh, and as far as your 97% goes, if that's the case! why does your business have less than 2 stars on yelp? I definitely want my $20 back and would give zero stars just for the blatant lie you just spouted. read more

After an unfortunate accident with my iPad 3, (took a dive off the table by the pool and screen shattered.) I was relieved to find a great tech so close by. Very friendly, quick repairs and extremely reasonable pricing, will keep me coming back here with any of my electronic repairs. Great customer service took care of this right away we had a technical issue it wasn't a broken screen or anything it was a male to male cord auxiliary that we use to plug your phone into the car stereo but unfortunately part of it broke off inside the phone. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO PROFESSIONALISM WHATSOEVER. I brought my PS4 to this place because the HDMI port was not working properly. (After reading up on it I learned this was called the white light of death). I brung in my system & I was told that it would probably be done the following Friday. Friday came, I called & was told we'll call you when it's done and you can simply check your repair status on a link they provided me with. The status was always incorrect & after about a week of receiving misleading information time after time, I finally received my PS4 back and it worked good as new! (or so I thought). About a month goes by & my PS4 starts to have a similar issue as before and is not working properly so I then take it back up to the company (STILL UNDER WARRANTY) to get it re-repaired smh. Upon arrival I am told the work that needed to be done (conveniently) is not covered under my warranty. I was then told by the manager himself that he would only charge me half price to fix something that I did not break to begin with. (this felt a bit like a scam and fraudulent) I told him I do not feel it's fair to be charged any fee for something that is still under warranty and should be free. He then told me that he would give me a call once they figured out the problem and we would go from there. They called, I missed the call and without my consent or agreement on said price they fixed my PS4 and had the audacity to still charge me for it. After talking to the manager personally I still couldn't get a full refund and was only givin a $20 deposit back to my account. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN and I advise you to do the same. Have a nice day and take your money elsewhere! read more

My iPhone 4S was repaired here about 8-9 monhts ago. I paid for a complete new screen and professional installation. The work looked good when it was done. Yesterday my screen completely died. I called them up to ask about what could have caused it and they said I needed a new screen again. When I mentioned to them they installed a new screen and about the warranty they replied that the warranty is only 3 months and offered me a small discount off the price of a new replacement. (Let me mention that my phone has been in either an Otterbox case or a Speck case and completely protected, not even dropped) I found another place to replace the screen for less, and with a 1 year warranty not a 3 year warranty. They took out the screen and guess what? Completely perfect, no damage, the failure was due to poor quality parts. They guy even said to me, "whoever replaced this used a poor quality replacement LCD." Basically this place uses the lowest quality parts and does not support the product they use whatsoever. Do not come here if you plan on keeping your phone after the repair. Also, you can get a lower price elsewhere and they will guarantee the work. I told the manager that I was dissapointed and he did nothing about it. read more

I was THAT girl (the one every store clerk dreads)...The place closes at 7- I got there at 6:45 (because of work and traffic). There was only one guy who was there and I needed to get my shattered phone screen fixed (a process which usually takes about an hour). Without hesitation he immediately started working on my phone after i apologized about 17 times for showing up so late. He did it in about a half hour. Great success here! Very supportive with repairs, I've had two consoles fixed up very quickly and really felt like I had reliable and consistent support that wouldn't let me down. Definitely a much better option than sending your console in to a manufacturer, you will get your console back much quicker for much cheaper. This guy legitimately cares about fixing your stuff! Repaired iphone 5 they replaced a screen for $75 Shop uses cheap Chinese replacement glass, which cracked the day after not by a fall!!! The original screen had half of the glass missing yet it was working this one has a tiny hairline crack and nothing on the screen works I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP read more

Brought my wife's iPhone 4S there to get the camera replaced. Had some issues at first with it sucking the battery; however, GTR was very accommodating and found the new part was defective and replaced it. Her iPhone 4S is working much better now. First I will preface this review with that my first experience with a repair was very good - so when my daughters laptop broke they were my first call. That being said DO NOT expect good communication on change of status.I dont have any issue with workmanship or price, my issue was with communication on the status and length of time that repair took. The repair took about a month to complete.. there were some circumstances that made the repair take longer - however about 2 weeks ago I received a call saying they needed to also replace the LCD screen and they had one in stock - so I would be ready by the weekend.. when I stopped by the following Monday they said it was not ready and they would get back to me. I was upset at that time since this is not what they stated, nor was a call back given to tell me of the delay. Yesterday - after several calls by us to get status of the laptop - I called asking to speak to the manager (Rich) .. to which I was told that he would call me back today... Instead today I got a call from someone else - who told me that the manager was unavailable and the laptop was ready. After I expressed my disappointment with the communication --- I was basically told it was MY FAULT for not checking the status on the webpage. IF there was a delay in shipping/parts/etc etc ... it is the responsibility for the company to relay this information to the customer. I walked into the store today, the "unavailable" Rich was there - who again blamed ME for not looking on the website for status. I may have been told about the website when we dropped it off - but since then I do not remember such conversations. I will admit that a couple bucks off for the miscommunication would have been well received - but instead I didn't even get "sorry we will try to do better" - instead Rich seemed to not care or have any interest in honest feedback. He didn't mind that a customer didn't have a positive experience... I won't be going back. read more

I had a launch model PlayStation 3 that ran excellently for a little over six years before I started experiencing overheating issues with it. It would play a game normally for about an hour before it would automatically turn off by itself. I found about this place and was told it was an overheating issue, (which I already knew) and had it taken in for repair. While the repair was done, I had to go back to school and wouldn't be able to come back home for at least six weeks. A few days later, it was "fixed" and my mother picked it up and took it back home for me. It sat in my basement for six weeks, untouched and when I came back home, hooked it up and tried playing on it, it didn't even last ten minutes. Before, it ran for an hour with a game in it, so whatever they did only make it worse because that console wasn't touched for over a month and the last time I checked, dust doesn't overheat a PlayStation. I called them, they said "let's give it another shot" so I figured why not, I was covered by the warranty so what's the worst that could've happened? I should also point out that during this phone call, they mentioned that this wasn't a permanent fix, the first time in doing so since I started doing business with them. When I went there, they told me that the graphics card (the part that was overheating) was what they were trying to repair and that it required a lot more energy from the newer games (the game I was playing came out a few years ago). By this logic, the newer games were putting strain on the PlayStation and causing it to overheat. They told me they'd try and fix it again. When I asked how long do the fixes usually last, one of the employees said on average, about two years. So, I gave it to them, waited a couple of days, and was called saying that they were done with it. When they called me, I was told they ran a newer game on it for two hours with no problems and decided it was good to go. I took it back home, plugged it in and this time, the main menu wouldn't even show up on the TV (meaning there was no video output coming from the console) and the slot covering where you could insert an SD card was knocked loose. In short, they made it even more worse. I put the same game in just to see what happened and I suddenly had video output which was nice...until the system died on me again within about the same time period as before. I called and the owner had absolutely no passable explanation for why it happened. I went back to get my refund and complained to an employee and said employee really didn't have any passable explanation for me either. Again, I want to reiterate that I was told it ran well with a new game for two hours but as soon as I hooked it up and started it with an older game, it didn't last ten minutes. Either they lied to me about the whole repair process and did absolutely nothing or they are incompetent at repairing such products. They wouldn't even give me back the $20 deposit because "that goes towards diagnosing the problem" even though anyone who could type in the description of the problem on Google could find out that it was an overheating issue. If I were a smart business owner, I'd pay back every cent I received from the customer if they weren't satisfied with my service, ESPECIALLY if they had to come back a second time, regardless of what the store policy may be and ESPECIALLY IF THE PROBLEM WITH THE PRODUCT GOT WORSE AFTER EACH REPAIR. So, I ended up wasting $20 for the deposit I put down on it (which they do not deserve) and a lot more money on gas as well as quite a lot of my time. Basically, do not do business with these guys, they'll only waste your time, money and only make you feel frustrated. They're sub-par businessmen at best and when it comes to troubleshooting with problems or if you happen to end up in the "5% minority of unsuccessful repairs", they won't help you out at all in terms of refunding ALL of your money. In a business, the customer should be taken care of, regardless of what the store policy is. That is a matter of fairness which is how all business should be conducted, something I've been very unfortunate to find out that these "businessmen" have no concept of. read more

I brought in three 17" laptops to the Tinley Park location; a Gateway, HP and a Dell. Came in 3 months ago to get iPhone 6 screen fixed. Phone seemed fine until after a couple weeks my screen started to pop off. Didn't think much of it, don't really have time to go back to store because I'm busy with work and school. Finally realized I should go get this fixed before the warranty is up and or my screen falls completely off. I get there and they tell me from the screen coming off my LCD is now broken. Yes I did have a little tiny crack on top of phone that happened literally days before I called, but can't prove that I understand. The damage to the LCD was on complete other side of phone from crack. Well I go in to get the screen tightened or adhered. Pick it up and phone seems fine. I drive home and notice it's not adhered all the way.. And my LCD is now freezing and not working. My phone worked fine before I had walked into store for second time. Also my phone had cracked in a spot where they adhered it and keeps spreading! Company says I can bring it in and they can take a look and see how much it will cost me to get it fixed.. HA. Way to suck as a company with the shittest customer service. read more
