Super fast service! I did a quick drop off and was able to run an errand in that time! Am pleased with the quality of the glass replacement. You can do either Apple-certified or Apple glass. Ammar was willing to work on the price! read more

Women - do NOT go here if you don't feel like being harassed. So, the service itself was fine. However, the technician who handled my phone then used my phone number to ask me out. When I didn't respond, he tried to follow me on social media multiple times. I have now blocked him. Don't be this dude! read more

They're interested in helping you, whether or not they make a sale! The trackpad on my Macbook wasn't working. I took it in, discussed getting it serviced, which I decided against since my Apple is old. The employee found a used external Apple trackpad (perfect condition, $35), and got my laptop fixed enough that I could use its trackpad by double-clicking instead of pressing down. "You don't have to buy this," he said, pointing to the external trackpad. I bought it anyway, and now have two ways to use my laptop. And Air Tec has a new customer and fan. read more

They repaired my iPhone screen in the advertised time frame. Please note this place is cash only, a fact they will not alert you of when you drop off your phone. Upon picking it up, they will point to one small sign in the sightline on a 4-foot tall person. Before my cracked screen repair my battery was working stellar (a new battery was installed Feb of this year at the Apple Store) after the crack screen repair my battery was consumed. The display also had a lag response time. I don't know if they swapped my newish battery for a dud or they damaged the circuit when they were fixing the screen. I opted out of taking my iPhone back to Air Tec, and luckily the Apple Store still fixed my battery issue even though 3rd party hands had been on it. read more

Do not come here. Had them fix a phone screen for me and it broke within a day. Went in the next day and ask for a refund or a replacement and still tried to charge me full price. Horrible service that uses cheap products and tried to charge high prices for cheap things. Extremely rude as well and was not trying to make things right read more

Coming home from a 2 week vacation out west and my girl broke her phone screen. The route was taking us through my old hometown and we decided to use air tec service center because of turnaround time and pricing was perfect. Ammar was super nice and intelligent. Pulled apart the phone in front of us and told us what was wrong, and could tell we got our screen replaced before by another service. He replaced our screen, sensor and added on our screen protector perfectly. Treated us like family. Would recommend him to anyone any day, thank you for helping us out a lot Ammar! read more

Ammar had my IPhone 11 Pro's screen & proximity sensor replaced in no time and was a joy to work with. He talked me through every part of the process so I understood exactly what was needed & what was being done. He also went above & beyond by having the proximity sensor brought in from another store and replaced quickly! Very genuine & nice person. I would definitely recommend them for your tech repair needs. read more

Great people, dropped off my macbook here right after my iphone at the other store. Thanks a lot!!!

Ammar is amazing! he is very professional and fast, unless some other repair shops I've been to where they would tell you to come back in a few hours, Ammar would do a diagonistics and repair it right there he is also very patient and understanding, he would recommend different repair options and would let you choose the option that's most economical to you (though it means less profit for him), but he would want you to know your options and do the best for your device/money, highly recommend! read more

Fixed my laptop in under an hour (had a quote at another place for 2 days)! Knew exactly how to diagnose the problem, had the parts in stock, and gave me a 90 day warranty on the repair. Reasonable prices and great service! read more

Earlier in the month I visited Air Tec to replace a cracked iPhone screen. I spoke to Ammar and to my surprise he was able to replace it within 20 minutes. The price was very reasonable and i was able to get my phone repaired very quickly. Within a day the screen seemed to have some lag. I returned back to the store and without hesitation Ammar replaced the screen and the replacement screen works like new. VERY VERY happy with the service and attention I received and will be back in the future if I need any type of device repair. They also stock a variety of accessories for Apple and Android phones. If your in need of a charger or certified cable they have lots to offer. read more

Great service with excellent parts available helpful advice over the phone in advance and very reasonable pricing. thank you for saving my phone! read more

All other cellphone repair places were closed even though their hours stated differently. One exception was Air Tec. I came late on Saturday. I believe it was the owner who open the phone and stated that there was no water damage it was just the screen. I was surprised after Apple told me I needed a new phone. This phone is my life, it has everything and paying $600 for a replacement after spending 1000 on the iPhone is ridiculous. Anyhow, he had replacement screen on hand. I was shocked and surprised 30 minutes later my phone worked again. Apparently, it was a faulty screen and Apple did not want to replace it through warranty coverage. Thank you Almar. You made my day. read more

The best people to deal with in the business. They fixed my Samsung screen with an original screen for a very low price. Very nice guys. We need more family business like this place in chicago. read more

Screen was cracked and LCD was damaged. Apps would open and close randomly. Took in today and it was repaired really quick. The owner was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend this place for repairs. My phone works like new. A few months later my phone slowly started to break down. Since the screen was replaced, it caused internal issues. I couldn't make or receive calls unless I was connected to my headphones. The speakerphone feature is completely gone and my phone freezes randomly and I am unable to use it until it dies and comes back on. Also today my phone is starting to flicker. Initially getting my phone repaired was a great quick fix for cheap but save yourself the headache and go to the Apple store if you have an iPhone. read more

THIS MAN IS A CROOK. I went in to get my iphone SE battery replaced as my phone had difficulty retaining charge. He took the battery out of my phone and put one of his in. He tried handing it back to me, but when I pointed out the screen was wavering, he kept working on it. He told me the problem was likely my phone and not the battery, so he was going to put my old battery back in and advised me to go to Apple. When he put my old battery in, the phone basically died. Ammar offered to keep my phone over night to fix it. After watching him break a functional phone, I did not want to leave my phone there nor did I want to take the "loaner" iphone 5 he thought would be a good replacement. I went to Apple the next day and they told me they weren't even able to LOOK at my phone because another technicians hands had been on it. That was my fault, as I didn't know their policy. HOWEVER, Ammar, who said he had worked at Apple had advised me to take the phone to them. As a technician, it's bizarre that he would either overlook or lie to me about that policy. Accepting defeat, I ordered a new iphone. Having no other options for what to do with my old iphone SE, I returned to Ammar that same day and left my phone with him for a few hours. He said it would be $40 to change the battery and I was livid. I told him that it was unacceptable for him to CHARGE ME TO REPAIR A PHONE THAT HE BROKE and threatened to write a bad Yelp review. He apologized and said he wouldn't charge me anything. He was very apologetic and worked hard to get my phone back to me the same day. He returned my phone to me in seeming working condition AND included an additional used iphone 5 to shut me up. So I left with two phones. I shouldn't have been surprised when THE PHONES HE GAVE ME DIDN'T WORK. NEITHER OF THEM RETAIN A CHARGE. I didn't want to go back to Ammar because I no longer trusted him. Also, I didn't want to write a review because of how apologetic he was and how hard he was working to please me, but it was really a terrible experience. I don't trust this company and you shouldn't either. read more

My screen was cracked and half of it wasn't working so I was in a panic. I came upon Air Tec when an ATT employee suggested them. They were quick, friendly, and efficient. Hopefully nothing else happens to my phone but if it did I'd take it to them. read more

Fast and friendly service. Ammar was careful and both showed me the multiple issues going on inside my iPhone (as well as the cracked screen for which I brought it in) and explained what I could do to fix them. 10% discount for Yelp submissions. Price was in line with other stores I quoted from in or near the Loop. read more

These guys are amazing. I had my laptop repaired not long ago at their other location and it was great. This time my girlfriend shattered her screen so I took it here to get it fixed. They hold the highest standard of customer care and do great work. All in all we were in and out in under an hour. Truly an easy, reliable place to take your broken tech. read more

I highly recommend this place to anyone! Ammar Mallah, the manager, is a very reasonable and easy person to work with. He has several years of experience when dealing with cell phone care, including employment experience at apple for iphone repairs. He'll provide you with some of the best pricing (cheaper than 7-8 places I called) and his customer service skills are great. He's very patient and will ensure your problems are resolved. read more

I shattered the screen to my iPhone 6 while unloading groceries. It was Sunday, so I was in a panic thinking I couldn't find a place that was open and could get it done quickly. Thank goodness for Air Tec. I called and they said they were open until 5pm and it would take about 30 minutes. True to their word, I'm typing on my new screen as we speak. Reasonably priced and very nice. Hopefully I won't need to come here again any time soon, but I plan to refer anyone who needs a screen fixed here. THANK YOU! FYI- cash and check only. read more

I cracked the screen on my iPhone 6s and took it into Air Tec. Ammar was very helpful and honest. He presented all of the options, including what it would cost at the Apple store. He event checked the status of my warranty for me. I decided to get it fixed right there at Air Tec because he'd been so helpful. He fixed my phone within an hour, and I felt like I was being charged only for the labor and parts (no gouging). The next day, I had another problem with my phone, and Ammar gave me a quick fix by phone, at no charge. read more

I have read all your post and everyone are very positive bout this place. but my experience was a nightmare. On February 18, I went to air tac on State Street for a diagnostic on my laptop. My laptop was running on windows vista and in perfect conditions. It was getting a little slower that normal and I need it to get clean up. So, I left my laptop over night and the next morning, I went to picked it up and my laptop was broken, death and with some part s missing. The hard drive was missing and the memory as well. He tried to sell me a cracked computer for $130 and he did not even offer to fix my laptop. Then he put the hard drive to my laptop and it did not fit the slot of my laptop. This was really disappointing!!!!!. I definitely not recommend this place for any computer repairs. read more

Top notch service. Replaced my iphone battery in 20 Minutes. Located conveniently off the Jackson Red Line stop in the loop.

I went into the Sprint store across the street from my office because the display on my phone went out. I ended up getting an upgrade but they couldn't retrieve my contacts, pictures, e-mails, nothing. They didn't have the technology and I was frantic until they told me to take the phone next door to Air Tech. I walked in to be greeted with a big smile and a pleasant greeting. I showed Ammar my old phone and told him the display screen was black so my data couldn't be retrieved but he said don't worry I will take care of it for you and he did! He quick and very reasonably priced. Now I not only have a new IPhone but my old IPhone is working like new. If you are in the loop area and need a Mac, PC, Tablet or Smartphone repaired go to Air Tech. They can do it all from replacing a cracked screen to debugging your computer. I have 2 laptops at home that need service and I will be bringing them both to Ammar at Air Tec. read more

Air Tec was recommended to me by a friend who had a good experience and mine was good too. It was more affordable than the Apple Store and the customer service was exceptional. I took my iPhone 7 in for a cracked screen repair. It was fixed in 20 minutes and cost $50 less than what Apple quoted me. The man who did the repair was very friendly and accommodating, he put on a screen protector free of charge and when said I was going run to get cash at my bank down the street (there is an ATM in the shop but I wanted to avoid the fee) he took the fee off of my bill so I wouldn't have to make the trip, which I appreciated very much. I've had some minor issues since the repair, such as the brightness will dim automatically at times so I periodically have to bring it back up to full brightness and sometimes I have to tap the screen harder than usual. I plan to return to see if I can get these problems fixed since the initial repair has been under 30 days. I would recommend Air Tec to anyone who is looking for an affordable repair. read more
