The manufacturer's warranty states the club is covered within one year of purchase (or two years from manufacture) and instructs customers to take it to the reputable retailer where it was purchased. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Dick's. No one made any effort to help us with the warranty process, and we were left stuck with a defective club. My advice? Buy directly from the manufacturer whenever possible. If customer service and warranty support matter to you, I'd avoid purchasing investment items from Dick's Sporting Goods.

I went in earlier this week to try on some boots and to get feedback on a pair I had to buy online. Our family of five skiers has spent a lot of money with Epic over the years (three growing kids)!…read moreWe've alway had a good experience until today, when I needed to exchange a set of brand new poles with the tag still on (just a tiny bit too tall for my growing teenage son, needed to exchange for one size smaller). My husband bought the poles last weekend, without me present, and of course he no longer had the receipt, as husbands are wont to do. I figured they have our purchases on file so I went in for the exchange. One staffer was super helpful, quickly grabbing a new set of poles in the size we needed. Unfortunately when the redhead went to do the exchange, she accused me of returning used poles because the rubber on the handles was slightly scuffed--I said no, they were just purchased last weekend and the tag is still on (with the snow was bad as it's been this year, we've hardly been up at all!). I said--that must be how you sell them, because you can see this new set I was just handed was also scuffed up on the handle. Of course after that she found the order (under my phone number not my husband's) but it feels pretty crappy to be accused of something when you're just a loyal customer trying to get the right size gear for your child. I have to say, I'll think twice before visiting this Park Meadows location again. Maybe Aurora will be better.

This store was by far the most helpful in terms of selection, knowledge, and the amount of time they were willing to spend answering questions and providing suggestions! I want to specifically mention Gabby because she helped me every time I came in to try on and narrow down what shoes to buy (3-4 times). She was awesome--very attentive and knew so much about not just the shoes but foot support in general. I am not a runner by any means but I am on my feet all day for work, and I found the store to be very accommodating. Finally settled on two pairs that I can rotate around as my feet need more stability. I did get the $2 VIP membership on their website for a better shoe price and shipping cost. Really really happy with my experiences here.
