I have been to several gun shops in and around Denver, this to me is what a gun shop is supposed to be like. Knowledgable staff who's willing to educate their customers. Picked up a Radian Raptor charging handle. I'm a first time AR15 owner and the kind gentleman(sorry I didn't ask his name) at the shop offered to drop it in for me if I had problems after he literally displayed with his own rifle, step by step how to do it. Went in to get my red dot mounted by a professional. Paid $25. The red dot flew off and left a screw stuck in the slide after a couple hundred rounds. Went in to get it fixed, they kept it for nearly 3 weeks and could not get it fixed. Rob referred me to another shop, which of course I have to pay for to get his mistake fixed, so I asked to refund the $25. He threw a fit, gave me the money and said some sarcastic comments under his breath, e.g "next time don't rack the slide from the optic" which I told him I never did or do. So now I have a slide with a screw in it, have to pay to get it fixed (hopefully). And left with a bunch of unnecessary attitude. Every time id call to check on my slide, I would receive some attitude from Rob, the gunsmith. His work is questionable, and his attitude, inexcusable. read more

I came here to stop by for a gift card for a special belated Christmas present, and picked up a few business cards to go along with it. A bunch of know it all's.... which is exactly what I was looking for. If I wanted to have an experience where I had to keep up on everything on my own, I would have just gone online to buy it. Except I appreciate and respect the insight and expertise of people who know their chit which is why I seek out local businesses and Bowers did not disappoint. They came through with surpassing my expectations because I had no clue they had the extent of inventory they did. They're exactly the way I like my shops which is just like how I like my women, knowledgeable, a ton of eye candy that I can't afford, but they're cool with ogling, touching, and groping (be respectful and know how to conduct yourself though because they'll be the first to put you in check) even if I do/don't pass a background check. Surefire and Glock components and accessories is why I was here because I googled "Surefire Sonic Defenders," and I got Amazon and Bass Pro's in the search results. Unfortunately, the Bass Pro's hunting department does not pick up their phone, twice in the middle of the day, and I kept getting put back to the beginning of the phone cue. Only till I got through to the operator I was able to have them look up the SKU which they had nothing. At this point, Bass Pro's is more like the Rainforest Cafe, a lot of fluff, but very little on substance... just not my type. read more

Rob was extremely knowledgeable on the AR series and knew the specification of products he was selling. Patiently answered questions. Quickly and efficiently installed the parts. He was happy to let us stand near him and let us watch him disassemble the rifle past field stripping. Great customer service. Good learning experience. The other gunsmith working on his personal bolt action gun was having a bad day? I think his rifle was not working well? Barked at us for standing to close to him. This is a review I have been planning to write for a long time. This is an amazing shop the staff are very helpful and nice. The other folks reviews seem to say the same! I take my Glock's there and they always put on the sights perfectly and I've never had any issues. I have also taken my AR-15 there and they installed a new hand guard, took off the front sight post for me. The gunsmith is very good. I have quite a few guns myself, but if I ask these guys (or gals) here questions that I don't know the answer to, they answer it honestly and don't make anyone feel dumb for asking. read more

I am new to hand guns and was using google to look for gun shops to visit when I found Bower's Tactical. At first I was hesitant to even enter the shop because of how it looks outside but when I did I was treated with the best customer service at any gun shop I've visited. At that time, I have never owned or fired a hand gun before, other than researching on the internet, I've ventured into a few gun shops and ask for info. Most of them are courteous and give me the whatever feels good in your hand speech. One of them tried to steer me to a Sig that cost 1300. Only at Bower's Tactical, the guys here are very patient with me and walk me through step by step why or why not a gun fits me including some evaluation of a few models that were there with no press to purchase anything. A relatively small shop that seems to specialize in tactical weapons and accessories. They have a pretty good stock in their shop and are able to order just about anything you need. The service is why I'll be shopping here. I've been there twice now and they are very friendly and patient (I'm not very smart on guns). They install whatever you buy from them and even did a quick once over of my weapon and made a few suggestions and showed me a few worn parts. Was having trouble finding quality ammo for my new M&P, but these guys had multiple options in stock despite all of the current shortages. When I arrived, they gave me a quick rundown of the different options and even directed me to which they thought provided the best value, which I really appreciated. Unlike other shops, which just stock whatever they can put on their shelves to make them look full, Bower's has a smaller, but much higher quality inventory. Both of the guys who run this place are solid dudes. I walked in with a stripped colt and rail for them to install. Sean had everything on within 20 minutes. He also took the time to clean off the packing grease Colt likes to jam in their rifles before shipping. Their store had a wide selection of parts for Glocks and AR's which isn't something you usually see. read more

Ahh the little ammo bunker in the middle of the tech center. Great customer service and a great gun smith. Gun smith will work on your firearm while you wait. But be careful he can be busy. This place is absolutely wonderful! Every time I come here I learn something new. The staff is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and professional. The other day my husband and I went in due to an issue with one of our rifles and they were able to identify other issues that contributed to it that we weren't even aware of. Apparently the problems that they identified were grave safety issues with an improperly build barrel that came from another gun store. We called the other gun smith on the phone and they completely blew off the problem and they offered another solution that was not even an actual solution to the problem we were having with the barrel, so we decided to stay at Bower's Tactical and have them fix the issues. Now the head spacing on our barrel is correct and safe to shoot now! read more

I defy you to find a gunsmith job he cannot do perfectly, he's at the top of his class and transformed my Glock 34 into a Frankenstein Percision beast.
