Service was so terrible. Had my 2 yr old and little baby; my wife was trying to get some shoes here. The workers took forever to help us, but we waited patiently as we understood it was busy. Then when my wife asked to get the shoes they brought the wrong ones out. She asked them again to bring the right ones and we waited for 25min and then just left. I'm so frustrated and disappointed in this store. I don't shop sporting goods stores very often and when I do it is most often Dick's Sporting Goods in Lone Tree Colorado. That's where I went today to purchase a birthday gift for my wife and it will probably be the last time I shop with them after today. Today was at least the 3rd time that I've purchased an item that was marketed at a significant discount but was rang up at full price. The first two times, I thought it might be simply errors in merchandising and signage. To be clear, I purchased two different sizes of a jacket off of a circular rack that held at least 6 more of the same style and color jackets. The signage on the top of the entire rack clearly said "40% off." I left the store, checked my receipt on the way to the car and returned inside to point out the discrepancy. The sales associate (different from the one that had checked me out) responded by saying "Honestly, these weren't the items on sale." She didn't bother to walk back to the rack to check the signage. She didn't apologize for the conflicting messages. She didn't call a manager to try making the customer happy. I do realize that it is not the sales associate's fault for deceptive signage so I wasn't rude or angry with her. I did keep my purchases (with the intent to return one when I figure out which size is the correct one for the recipient). But, I also did say that this was not the first time I had encountered this "clever but deceptive marketing in this store." And, I'm really tired of Dick's Sporting Goods in Lone Tree, Colorado playing their pricing games. I did double check online after leaving the store. Online the jackets I purchased are still listed at full price so I think I paid the correct price. However, management should verify and keep signage related to pricing current and accurate; and they should also correctly merchandise their stores. The fact that I have encountered this issue at this same store several times should give one pause before shopping here. I also realize that deceptive advertising is not legal and that I could also report this to the Better Business Bureau. I've considered that but decided to just take my business elsewhere. read more

Lots of choices in the Stanley and Yeti items I was looking for as gifts. It was nice to wander around too because there are a lot of different merchandise to look at. I really wanted to give it a 2 star review, but the gentleman in the golf shoe section 2 days ago was more worried about kids stealing stuff than helping me with trying shoes on. Totally distracted and at one point he just disappeared and I ended up passing him on my way out as he was more interested in watching security tell kids to quiet down than work on a $2-300 sale on golf shoes. I was fortunate enough to get a 20 minute lecture on why the Nike golf shoes have the sensors on them and how they're the most stolen shoes as well as how often high schoolers come in and destroy stuff and steal. He was more detailed about those encounters than helping me. I get that you're frustrated, but you work retail, and that's part of the job. Lost a sale and wasted a lot of my time by getting nothing accomplished. As for pricking, its comparable to most other retailers. read more

While making my purchase, the cashier asked if I wanted to join their rewards/loyalty program and explained the benefits. After asking for more clarification about this program, including any hidden fees and anything else I should be aware of, I decided to go forward with it. I was then told I didn't qualify because of my credit score. Up to this point, the cashier had failed to mention that this program ties into my credit score, which, if I had known, I would've declined at the beginning. My credit score now reflects this soft hit for the next two years, which is unpleasant for someone barely starting their credit history as a young adult. I don't know if employees get a bonus for signing up customers to their program, but I would've definitely liked to know that this would affect my credit score instead of just the benefits. Honestly a complete waste of time coming here. I wanted to pickup a team jersey in store. I checked the store website ahead of time & it confirmed it had my size in store. But when I went in, the entire team section was an absolute mess. I even had a store employee try & help me find the jersey & size I was looking for but it was no where ti be found. If you go to this store for a specific thing, be orepared fir them to not have it even if they say they do. Waste of time, resources & effort. Id reccomend getting your stuff elsewhere. Ive also had ither experiences with this store trying shoes on & it takes 30 mins-1hr to even get a rep to help you. Terrible customer service in the shoe department. I walked in knowing exactly the shoe I wanted and was going to walk out with a $200 purchase. Guy working the front took my shoe order right away and the people in the back we're supposed to bring it out. Unfortunately, after waiting over 30 - close to 40 minutes - for the shoes to come out, I finally gave up. The guy working the front actually ordered them twice and they still didn't come out. Great visit to this brand new two story Dick's! The store recently opened on May 1, 2020. The quarantine on these types of businesses has been off for several weeks. I was quite surprised it was so empty on a beautiful Saturday. As usual this Dick's was laid out beautifully with every exciting piece from North Face, Yeti, to Patagonia that we've all come to know and love. The staff here were extremely friendly; much more friendly and customer service oriented than any of their other stores I've ever been to. They were especially knowledgable when it came to looking at tennis shoes, different comfort levels, brands and prices. We walked out with a couple of North Face day packs and two Zero Gravity recliners for the patio. Couldn't be happier! Great place to spend these COVID quarantine read more

I'm sitting there waiting forever all while the three other teens who worked there were playing on their phones. He came back with the wrong shoes. Eh...This Dick's location left much to be desired. Went in main entrance (food court) and asked where Hockey jerseys were located. Was told bottom level, so went down a floor and didn't see any hockey stuff....asked another associate (after tracking them down) and then was told, "nothing down here...go to main floor". Finally found jerseys and there was a very small selection. When I asked the guy working if there was more selection, he said "there might be some on lower level", to which we replied "they told us to come up here". What a mess! What floored me was the price..$100 for a NHL youth hockey jersey...ridiculous. I might expect such a high price if I went to buy it at Pepsi Center, but I thought Dick's was a discount retailer. And for the holidays they had very few sales. I didn't even see any store brands like I've seen in other sporting goods stores (for less than the name brands). I remember Sports Authority used to have lots of sales and store branded products - none that I saw here. We did purchase a few items, including some gloves. On checkout of the gloves, though, they took almost five minutes trying to pry the plastic security tag off the packaging. It took three people to get them off (each asking, do you mind if we bend the packaging??? Well yes, but did I have a choice?). Why do they have to put a security tag on every pair of gloves? Over the holidays we bought some items for a weight set for my son. I ordered some of it online and bought some from the store. It was very confusing and they did a fantastic job of sorting it all out and getting the very heavy order loaded into our truck. Recently, we ordered a mini stick online. It arrives in a huge box without any type of paperwork. Once opened, the stick was clearly damaged. I was very worried about returning it, thinking they would suspect we had used it. They gave us a full refund. The teens at the front desk were extremely kind and the manager was super helpful!!! Much better than average customer service!!! read more

I came into the store to purchase a pair of Hoka running shoes that I had called previously, and put on hold. I was super disappointed with the customer service that I received from Chase in the footwear department. He kept forgetting my shoes, and making iContact with me, but choosing to not say anything about where my shoes were. Maybe NEXT time, if I were to visit this Location, maybe I should ask if they open that Indoor Rock Climbing Wall for people to Climb. OR is it my eyes are playing tricks on me... Don't let the store name fool you. The staff is really helpful and friendly. They have a climbing wall in the center of the store. It is pretty easy .... but a neat idea, If you want to take a break from shopping and do a little climbing. Hahaha..... I'm not sure WHO would want to do that ..... but It's available. REI was closed due to Covid, so I decided to try their bike repair out. Normally have no problems with REI replacing a air filled tire, I bring the parts and they replace fix it up...Dicks? This guy punctured both my intertubes that was special ordered and took nearly 3 hours on something that normally takes less then 30mins. When I left the store my tire still had a flat, so back to the drawing board. All while I was there not one manager checked up on this kid to ask if he needed a hand. Train your employees better!!! Was a little annoyed by the construction going on in the shoe department but that's the nature of renovations. Needed a new pair of basketball sneakers. Wanted a higher end shoe. They didn't have my size and seemed to be out of just about everything I asked for. The helpful guys in the shoe department ordered it at their kiosk and provided free home delivery. Would have preferred to walk out with my new purchase but with limited inventory during construction I guess this was the next best thing. The sneakers arrived at my home a week later. Ok... Five stars might be pushing a little for a Dick's Sporting Goods, but this spot has a very special place in my heart. My guess is that most of the folks reading this review are aware of what a Dick's Sporting Goods is, so I won't spend much time on that. Why does this place have a special place in Adam S.'s heart? Well, fun fact, I've worked in four different sporting goods stores, starting at age 16 when Galyan's expanded to the Minneapolis market and most recently as a side-job in my late 20's selling golf clubs (funnest job ever!) - and guess where that last one was? Yep, right here at Dick's at Park Meadows Mall. As it happens, this location was originally a Galyan's when that chain expanded out to Colorado. If you were not familiar with Galyan's, it was phenomenal. The stores were beautiful, and the merchandise and service were on point. They started out as a Mom and Pop out in Plainfield, Indiana and were bought by The Limited back when they expanded, eventually being sold to Dick's. Dick's may not be at quite the same level, but this particular location has a similar feel based on the space, which is a two-level store with ample square footage with the signature ceiling with skylights. BTW - Park Meadows is one of the nicest malls in the Denver area (maybe the nicest) and this is attached to the mall. Having sold golf clubs here, I can tell you that you can find some great merchandise at really good prices. Golf Galaxy is owned by the same parent company, and you'll find many of the same things - although less of the really high end or lower volume sellers than at Galaxy. This location has a nice golf simulator to test out clubs, and take it from me, I've spent many many many hours doing so. They also offer golf services, and you can likely get a set of clubs regripped on the spot. If you want to stock up on balls, keep an eye out because they have some really good deals. Upstairs you'll find Golf, Apparel, Footwear and Hardgoods (all the sports equipment like Balls, Gloves, Bats, Soccer, etc.). Downstairs you'll find Ski/Snowboard, Outerwear, Camping, Fitness and a terrific Hunting and Fishing Section with super knowledgeable staff in that area in particular. This is a well-run store, and you'll find a pretty solid staff as many of the younger folks come from the surrounding area which is highly affluent. And, Denver in general has a pretty active lifestyle. In my time there, I was really impressed with the Store Manager and Regional Manager back in 2009, and the store looked great when I popped in recently on a trip to Denver. Overall, I totally enjoyed my time working there and I'll tell you that the people I worked with were pretty sharp and talented - far more than you may imagine for a sporting goods store at a mall. This may not be quite at the level of a Colorado Ski and Golf, which in my mind is one of the top stores around (or a Sports Basement for you SF'ers), but it blows away the Sports Authorities and Big 5's of the world. read more

I was hoping to write a review for the Southglenn store, but they don't have a Yelp yet. No worries, ill do it for the Park Meadows store, which is just as good. I originally went to Dicks to grab a .22 rifle for a shooting trip i was taking a few years ago. The employee was very helpful, and even stayed late to process my background check, and sight in the scope. I was very pleased with the service, so i decided to stop by when it came time to buy my shotgun. Not only was their price about $150 less than Gander mountain, but the employee once again stayed almost 30 minutes after closing until my background check cleared. So far, Ive already purchased 3 firearms from Dicks, and will definitely give them first shot at my business next time im in the market. Not sure about their other departments, but their lodge department is the real deal. read more

Lots of stuff and easy to get to if you park around the food court area, but my visits haven't been that enjoyable. First, if you're a guy who isn't 200 pounds (whether good or bad), good luck finding stuff that fits. Small shirts, at least in the golf department, were like finding four-leaf clovers. Same goes for size 30 shorts, or anything under 38 even. Also a pain are the fitting rooms. They lock automatically, so you have to hunt down a sales rep with keys each time, which can be a task. Staff was so-so. Perhaps a better location just for browsing while at the mall. read more

He is very knowledgeable and will find what you need even if he has to check all the other stores, or he will order it for you, with no shipping cost. Restroom is atrocious with unflushed feces in each toilet, and an employee left the restroom as I was walking in. Great. Selection of equipment is alright at this store, some departments better than others. Staff isn't particularly knowledgeable in some areas, but I suppose those are lofty expectations for mall employees. read more

This Dick's huge, you know what I mean. There are 2 floors to it, although not many signs as to what is where. There were worker-bee's milling around talking to each other and none of them bothered to ask if they could help me. They have a huge selection of sports gear, coats, weights, and workout equipment and the prices are pretty fair, especially when you consider it's in Park Meadows. They are the 1st place to go when you're looking for that kind of thing. read more

Been here 3 times in the last year. Every time there was zero associates in the entire store in any sections to help with any questions. This last time, I waited 15 minutes for a dressing room and no one ever came. The time before that I wanted to buy a $600 elyptical that was onsale the day after newyears. There were maybe 10 customers in the entire store and zero sales people. I left that time as well because no one was there to even allow me to purchase the item and the sales person upstairs after paging people, gave up after 30 minutes and basically said -- sorry I can't leave the register, you might want to come back later. This last time I came in to buy some biking pants and couldn't get anyone to unlock a dressing room again. There were half a dozen other customers wandering around looking for help. The cash registers in the biking area downstairs and the rifle area were un-attended. I don't think there was anyone on the entire bottom floor. This is not only a safty concern, but horrible for customer service. Seeing as this is the 3rd time I've experienced zero service, I figured it was time to write a review. The guy on the phone right away said they had them and even said they had a couple specific players, so today it was my duty to take my kid up there to get one. As I approached the NFL and Broncos section, I didn't see any small jerseys, I looked around and then asked the gal working in that department. She informed me the guy on the phone gave me the wrong information and they had nothing. I am furious what a waste of my time and a huge disappointment for my 2 year old. So dicks only hires dicks to work for them Park Meadows, Denver Colorado is the worst ever they are most prejudiced and profile everyone I got a north face best for a present with a hat. I love the vest but it was too small, so I took it in to see if I can exchange it. They did not have my size well unfortunately I did not have my receipt so they said the best that they could do for me was the sale rack now remember this was a gift and it just came out the test was 139. The best they could do for me was 1875 is that a slap in the face? I got a really good new hard it left a welt I could not believe. The girl that helped me was probably 22 at best blonde hair snot, snot snot she look @me vintage trash now I think when you have a store you should wait on everybody equally when they have a receipt or not it was an exchange I wasn't asking for money I was asking for a different size. The tags were on the clothes, but wait, it must be because I was Hispanic, that should never be an issue but in that store it's always an issue as soon as you walk through the door they have at least three people on top of you following you making sure that you're in there for the right reasons not knowing that my husband is NFL football player and then I have money and I can afford to shop in dicks I never shop here because of the treatment I get I will never go back there and I literally had to give the gift back to my friend who felt horrible. I went in last weekend planning on purchasing a pair of running shoes I had had my eye on. Upon trying them on, Rocky in the shoe department suggested several other models based on my walk, stance, and intended purpose of the shoe. This man really knows his stuff. Not only is he incredibly friendly and professional, he is very knowledgable. I ended up purchasing one of his recommended models - at twice the price of my intended purchase - and I feel like I got a great shoe. I would highly recommend Rocky for all athletic shoe purchases.
