I received the best customer service of my life at Game-Set-Match! Owner Adam, and his son Ryan, and GM Rachel were all three heavily involved in my shopping experience! I was educated and outfitted with gear that is appropriate for my level of play and game objectives. The part that made me a lifetime customer was the fact that they knew I was not from the area and they offered to restring my new racquet right then and there so I didn't have to make a second trip back. The had 60 racquets ahead of mine but still took the time to help get mine done. The tennis inventory is great. Lots to choose from and so much variety. Stopped by here with my son today to look at some pickleball paddles. Despite being pretty packed, I was greeted by several employees and everyone was super friendly. This place is filled with racquets, strings, stringers, bags, paddles... and everything was organized very well. One of the employees named Luke was very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a wonderful demo program for pickleball paddles that is very affordable. We went into look at Pickleball racquets. We know very little about the sport but would like to start playing. Kaleb helped us and is possibly the best salesman/customer service person I've ever met. Came into the store after pickleball game with friends who recommended to take a look. Spoke a wonderful lady that helped me. Fantastic! But a young man in his late twentys was just a jerk, rolling his eyes when asking in question and had a really bad superiority complex. When we left he came out side to the parking lot and I asked him a question, totally dismissed me! I'm business owner and if I saw one of my employees doing that to one of my customers, it would be the last day they work for me! The store is awesome and the majority of employees are very nice. I've been here twice buying stuff with and for my teenaged son. I wish the store near C470 & Bowles was still open because I always had good experiences there, but this location cannot seem to find staff who are pleasant. That's my big complaint. No smiles, just dour greetings and attitudes like they wish you weren't there. I think Luke might've been the name of the most recent example of this. I also hate that they make you give unnecessary personal info when you pay with a card. "We need to tie your info to the card" was the nonsense reason I was given this past time. No you don't. Just let me pay like I do everywhere else in the world. It's really the only game in town for a decent selection, so we'll probably continue to make visits when necessary but I would urge management to see how unwelcoming their staff is. Excellence, that is the word to describe the young man that helped me today: Ryan Greenfield! Before I came into Game Set Match, I had broken a string on my Wilson ultra racquets. I had never had to get a racquet restrung before and I decided to check out game set match, which was the most convenient location for a racquet stringing. When I walked into the store, I was greeted by a warm and open smile from Ryan. Although I had no idea what I was doing, Ryan told me how the stringing process worked and I even switched strings. Throughout my encounter with Ryan, he was so polite and even told me about his tennis experience at his high school, Valor Christian. In addition, he gave me some pointers and suggestions for my own tennis. This young man truly went above and beyond to accompany my needs. I have never met a employee more motivated and dedicated at his job. He does not take life for granted and truly encompasses what it is like to be a hard worker. I am very impressed by the team at Game Set Match. I went in to get my raquet re-strung and the guidance and help in determine the right string for me was great. No pressure on upselling, and just great knowledge on the benefits of chosing the right strings for me. On top of that, when I had issues with my raquet right after getting it re-strung I took the raquet back to get it fixed and they not only took care of me with a new set of stings, but completed it within an hour so that I could use it for my match. My go-to racket shop in Denver. I recently bought some paracord to replace the crappy shoelace style wristlacer that normally comes on racquetball rackets. So it appears management here has an issue with the racquetball community. After having a racquet restrung a couple times, I was advised "I didn't pay" for the first stringing earlier in the year. I'm unsure how you can walk out the door with product in hand without paying for service, but I said go ahead and charge me and I'll double check my credit card statement. I went back in the store and showed the guy behind the cashier desk my bank statement verifying that I did pay for the restringing, and that I have been double charged. So instead of apologizing for the mistake on their end, he starts getting confrontational asking if I was sure I didn't restring more than one racquet! He continues stalling and says he will have someone else call me to review the situation?? What?? I stated I'm here now and I just need my account credited for the double charge, I don't need a phone call as I had proof of the debit and their mistake. Now he starts getting verbally belligerent (in front of a young staff) while he reluctantly refunds the overcharge and continues barking at me while I exit the store stating "you're a racquetball guy, huh?" Given the current economic challenges in retail brick and mortar businesses, customer service IS your competitive differentiator. My response, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
