At first, I was considering Crocs, then I decided to use the purpose for which Cabela's serves, and invest in proper, ankle height Wellington rain boots! They even had my favorite color: turquoise! Stopped in to pick up some 15rd 5.56 magazines because of Colorado's stupid new law. Was back in the hunting section for 15 minutes watching the 5 people behind the counter help the 3 customers they had. Not a single one looked at me and even greeted me letting me know they would be with me. If anything, i only saw annoyed indifference. I did not scan the QR code to register for gun counter help as what I needed was on the floor. I finally asked one of the gentlemen behind the counter if someone could just quickly show me where the item I wanted was. He asked if I had scanned the QR code. At this point I gave up and went to the customer service desk. I have been in retail management for the last 30 years. While I understand that on occasion, one must wait for help. It has always been my rule that a customer must be at least, acknowledged within 30 seconds. Not only was I not greeted, i was presented with nothing greater than annoyed indifference. At customer service, the lady who helped me while I waited a long time to speak to the manager, was quite pleasant. Upon the arrival of the manager, I handed him my Cabela's silver card with an accumulated 220+ points and let him know you all can keep it. I am done. You have lost a customer. I don't shop regularly at Cabelas but it is fun to go in every once in a while to look around, see the fish and get dog treats. I've never had a problem or issue with anything at this location. I bought a gun a few years ago, no issues. Does that mean it's a perfect store? No, it's retail and with every other retail store, they make errors. Set your expectations accordingly. Wrongfully Accused & Denied My First Firearm Purchase On August 9, 2025, I went to Cabela's Lone Tree to buy my first shotgun. After telling the associate it was for me, he spoke with a manager and refused the sale -- claiming my husband should buy it instead. The next day at the Monument store, staff treated me respectfully but found my name had been "flagged" for an alleged straw purchase. This was false, humiliating, and discriminatory. First time here & I enjoyed everything that they had and prices were good I would have to say I didn't like that I couldn't shop comfortably. As soon as you walk in they try to sell you to become a club member in the middle of shopping we were approached again and a group of guys were just looking for who they can get to pay $200 for some sort of sweepstakes. When paying they ask to round up and they had a group of young girls at the front also asking for donations. So much pressure at this store. Saw this Cabela's on the way to the freeway and wanted to stop in. Since I see it everyday heading to work we finally had a day off to check it out. The parking lot is plentiful and it looks like there is a restaurant within the same vacinitiy. This was the first time in this store and I like that the departments were separated. Its easier to navigate around.I found a few Christmas decorations and a wreath to hang outside. A few winter clothes and accessories. But I did notice the inventory for kid sizes were slim to none. And will most likely come back when they have sales. There is also a Santa's workshop for the kids. I didn't see it but perhaps next time we can get pictures taken. Looks like we have to make an appointment for that.We found out they do have military discount as well read more

Cabela's isn't really my type of place, but BF gets his Under Armour shirts there. And it's fun. I like the fish tanks. The fudge isn't great, but it's not awful. The salespeople and cashiers are friendly and helpful. For real outdoorsy people, which we are not (city and beach people) Cabela's seems to have everything. I kinda sorta want an ATV :) It's kind of fascinating to wander around there. Such a very different lifestyle and fashion style than mine. Okay, let me start by saying I was so excited to shop here. But I went to buy a black powder revolver and it was the worst experience of my life. Starting I went in to sell my Kimber K6S DOA and they couldn't offer me more than $400 and that's besides the point. But take from that what you will. And then my birthday is coming up so I thought I might treat myself to a black powder revolver. So I pick it out and buy it, get to driving home, picking up my groceries, and getting home. Only for them to tell me I have to come back to the store "to finish up some paperwork". ( I'm already as pissed as can be) go back to the store from Aurora just for them to tell me that I finished the paper work wrong and " it sounded like I was trying to give the gun to someone else" but as far as I know, all the answers that I gave, it said that I was not giving the gun to anybody else and that I was getting the gun for myself so I'm not sure what went wrong there but for anyone trying to get guns from Cabela's get your guns anywhere else they don't know what the fuck they're talking about and they don't know how the fuck to do their procedures because I was on my merry way. I JUST recently picked up fishing as a means to spend some QT with my family and I walked into Cabela's a few weeks ago. I am a complete newbie and lucky for me, Nick was working the fishing counter. He helped me select a new rod and reel, and even offered to spool it for me, as well as show me how to tie a lure. He suggested a couple of options as far as "rooster tails" (I think they're called?) and some spoons and bait. He even told me about his favorite fishing locations which I've had recent luck fishing in, thanks to him! I've been back twice since for more lures since I snagged the first few in the rocks (I told you I was a noob!) and I've been lucky enough to be assisted by Nick both times. He is EXCEPTIONAL at teaching me how to use my new gear and I've fallen in love with the sport. Kinda have regrets about not picking this up sooner! Also, I don't know if this is store policy or not but I love how all the employees I've talked to greet me by saying "yes ma'am or this way ma'am". It's absolutely endearing. read more

I bought some items for fishing and the cashier by the name of John, overcharged me for four items. I bought a total of 12 items and the cashier charged me for sixteen. On top of that when I drove back to get my refund, the manager with a crew cut hairdo had the worst demeanor. Dude did not acknowledge nor apologize to me for the horrible experience. Cabela's was another stop for my Christmas shopping and I had never been to this location before,I thought it would have been like Bass Pro shop out in Colorado Springs. I noticed the store was smaller in comparison. The parking lot , even though it was large , was cramped for large truck parking but easy to navigate. Products seemed to be limited during my visit and lines to check out snaked into the isles. I was pleased with the quick flow of check out. The customer service experience was fine at the register. I enjoyed the smaller fish tank they have set up and the out door displays. If I am passing and need outdoor equipment I can see myself revisiting. read more

Cabela's does not know how to take care of a customer. They are great when I'm buying. They are awful on returns. Not easy, not friendly. They could learn a lot from Costco, Amazon, etc. I have spent thousands of dollars with Cabela's, and they gave me a hard time about a $10 dollar item that they said that is what I needed and in fact I didn't. Anyway, I'll never buy from them again. Cabela's says that's their store policy. I have a policy also; Companys that don't take care of me in a return or a problem with product issue, I avoid. read more

I purchased a couple of guns on Black Friday waited for the check. Was told that my guns were there. I drove to the lone tree Cabela's waited in line because they were busy. Once I got to the counter the guy had a real bad attitude. He was a head guy training some other kid and treated me like garbage told me he didn't have time to help me find things for the gun. I'm trying to learn and start going to the range so I have a learning curve. Had a couple of questions which he just didn't have time for. I found him very rude and somewhat sexist. I will not be returning anytime soon. I think I will do my shopping at Murdoch's from now on. I will spend more but at least I'll be treated with some kind of respect. read more

Nice place but the bathroom was pretty gross. I went in after purchasing some ammunition and someone had pooped on the floor. I was just trying to get in and out and had to go next door t use the restroom. We live in the mountains and drove down to the Lonetree Cabela's for some last minute shopping. We were looking for some warm hunting gloves when we saw the display and quickly grabbed a pair. We were quite happy with the quality and was just what we were looking for. Fast forward to checkout and they told us the price was $49.99 NOT the $29.99 price so clearly marked. The manager came over and very rudely said "no I can't honor that" and quickly removed all the gloves from the display! Another customer even chimes in and loudly stated "you need to honor the price as displayed" and walked away in disgust. Businesses should honor the price displayed (it wasn't like someone mistakenly placed a pair in the wrong area, this was a display set up by Cabela's). We have had several bad/rude experiences from this Cabela's and will no longer patronize Cabela's. We will be taking our business to Sportsman's Warehouse from now on. read more

Yesterday I called this store to see about exchanging my cabelas tent that has a life time manufacturer warranty and was told I could without hiving a receipt. Then I wasted 5 1/2 hours and took the day off work to get down here and be told we can't exchange it because the rip in carry bag says it older then 60 days old and not the hardly used literally spotless tent inside of it. What they didn't know is I have $20,000 in my pocket that I was going to spend for my outfitting business. Been to Lone Cabela's numerous times. Bought and sold guns to them with no issues. They helped me find a place to sell of my late fathers antique guns. I recently took up bow hunting and bought a bow online that was not properly adjusted for me. I asked when the best time to bring the bow in and brought it in early during middle of week. Both of the 60+ Archery Employees were extremely knowledgeable and adjusted the Bow to fit me for not a lot of money. They event gave me some tips that radically improved my accuracy. 5 Stars to them. Was interested in a rangefinder and their younger employee was extremely knowledgeable and helped me select the right one for my application. I found the same great service in the fishing department and the game processing department. The only drawback is that their prices are high. read more
