I went and shot here as a guest of a friend that has been a member for years. I found the place clean, well organized and easy to navigate. They sell so guns, not a huge selection but plenty of options. The firing line itself works great, feels safe and the safety officers are consistent, present but not over bearing. The staff was very nice to me but they were just a tad condescending to me as a female shooter. I'm a vastly experienced gun owner and shooter and I don't need it "mansplained" to me about calibers and recoil. Much less grip size " a woman my size can handle. Aside from that little hiccup, I enjoyed my time at this range. It's on the complete opposite side of town from me, a forty five minute drive, but I'll gladly meet my friend out there to shoot again. I stood around for about 20 minutes before I was asked what I needed. I then told them I needed range ammo. They showed me some expensive ammo for conceal carry. The cheap ammo you can only purchase if you plan to use there range. So I stood there for 20 minutes just to find out they don't have what I needed. They could have asked me when I first came in instead of wasting my time. They had plenty of chances as they had walked past me multiple times avoiding eye contact. read more

Having never been to an indoor firing range, what better time to check one out and work on my accuracy than after my conceal and carry class?! So I booked a lesson with a friend and our instructor to get some pointers and better hone in my shooting skills at Firing Line Indoor Shooting Range. ++ They feature an extensive lineup of firearms and ammunition. ++ While I was there they did have COVID protocols in effect including directional traffic control through the stare to ensure people were not crossing paths unnecessarily. This was during the tail end of the pandemic. ++ They offer up a 16 bay firing range and gun rentals for those looking to try out something different. ++ Firing Line also offers up NRA certified classes in a variety of firearms. All in all, I really enjoyed my experience at Firing Line Indoor Shooting Range. A couple of days ago a guy (with range-provided eyes/ears) walked away from the shooting window and proceeded to walk right into the lobby with, GET READY ....a loaded gun, mag in place, and finger on the trigger, He then muzzle sweeps half the store. THIS IS ABOUT AS SCARRY AS IT GETS Having just finished shooting one window over from the guy I was right behind him and tried to get his attention...no luck. The customer service sucks! Made an online purchase and paid on 9/3. Was told it would ship that day or next day. When I didn't receive tracking by eod 9/4 I contacted and asked about tracking. He said oh we were busy so will ship tomorrow. When I contacted on the 5th he sent a tracking number. Then he didn't actually post it until Friday. I've been buying/trading/selling for nearly 50 years and when a fellow gun enthusiast says something I trust their word. This guy is NOT one of those people. It has been a week since shipment and no delivery. I asked him to provide the address he shipped to and he is now ghosting me. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE IN THE BLUE CITY OF AURORA EVER! Been going to the Firing Line for many years. Took my GF there the other morning, had a very pleasant time there, 275 rounds between us, four different pistols brought with us. I've always enjoyed the lanes there, if you go at the right time, there are few folks there practicing. The employees there have always been courteous and helpful when needed. My husband and his friend went here on Sunday, March 28, 2021 to inquire about using the range and hours. They stood for at least 20 minutes while other customers came and receive service ahead of them. It became VERY apparent that every customer that received customer service ahead of them (and all that arrived after they had) were white. My husband and his friend are Hispanic. You would think that in Colorado, particularly in Aurora, this sort of behavior and treatment would be unacceptable. Apparently not at Firing Line. They might as well put up a sign that says "whites only" and ensure each employee Proud Boys uniform because they certainly had no intention of receiving business from anyone not Caucasian. Over the last 10 years+ I have used several indoor shooting ranges and 2 outdoor ranges. By far, Fireing Lind Indoor range in NE Denver is outstanding in every way. Great staff that cares, helps & knows what they are doing when offering shooting tips & guidance. The owners truly care about your experience and assist anyone with pointers. No range I have ever been to places a full time Range Officer in the gun range for your safety and assistance. The facility is pristine. There are many guns to rent, targets available, lots of ammo to purchase that is reasonably priced, a classroom for gun oriented classes with a schedule, Clean, clean & clean. The ventilation system is excellent. Lighting is perfect with an excellent 60 yard range & outstanding target retrieval. With one of the owners a female, lots of help is available for female shooters both experienced and new to the sport.. If you like shooting, you gotta give this range a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

While I cannot speak for the range part of the business, I would like to say I was supremely impressed with the retail side. I was in the market for a somewhat unique style of sporting rifle. I called prior to heading over there and it turns out they had 3 in stock. After a spending a few minutes with the rifle and feeling out the staff and the salesman, I decided to move forward with the purchase. Even when they had 4 people trying to buy firearms all at the same time, the staff moved quickly and efficiently. The accessories like rifle sights etc. are all dated if they are there. They sell silencers and class three weapons stuff but once again prices are way too high it's almost as if it's there just to look at it. I applied to get a job there and they told me I had to wait because they just hired two inexperienced kids. I told them I needed the job so I could afford to stay living in this state yet they still told me to wait. Then they decided to call me back two weeks later after I decided to move for the job. My girlfriend and I both had a really good time at the pistol range. The pricing was very reasonable, we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a lane to open up for us and the guy gave us a discount for waiting. But the best part, not a single employee acted like they were too busy to talk to us. Asked one of the guys on our way out to look at a couple pistols, made it clear I wasn't going to buy, just looking, and neither employee acted as though I was wasting their time. I have purchased two firearms from this store. A shotgun and a Glock 23 both went just fine. I have also had weapons shipped to them they take care of everything. I would say be careful who you're talking to. I called with a question about bolt assembly for a Magnum Research mark 19. I was informed that that pistol does not have a bolt. I don't have a lot of firing range experience to compare this place to. I was lucky enough to go with a friend who's a member. The Firing Line seemed to have two sides: 8 lanes for non-members and 8 lanes for members. At 4 pm on a Friday afternoon, the members side was full and there were probably 5-6 people waiting. With unlimited range time for $15, I could easily imagine waiting for a long, long time for a lane to open up. The members side was only us and one other guy. It would probably be worth the membership fee if you went even just once a month. At the very least, it will save an impatient person like me a ton of frustration. I will definitely consider getting a membership here. You can also rent handguns, which will be nice for a beginner like me who is still trying to figure out which handgun should be my first. read more

First few experiences were great at this place. Even bought my first hand gun here. A Smith and Wesson 9mm. Went in today and the counter man on the range side wanted to act as if I hadn't been in before... So I asked if there were records of people coming in and he said not really... you ran my background check for Christ sake. If you are into guns this is the place to go. Due to the covid-19 and all the riots it's kind of hard to get bullets out of this place, 9mm in a lot of other variants. It does include a gun range which has two sides, a public range and VIP. You have to become a member to be VIP but I found it to be advantageous to go ahead & sign up because it's much quieter on that side and it's never as crowded as the public's side. This place can get really busy on the weekends so it's probably better to go early. Overall I've been having a good experience this year as a member. read more

SEXIST! SEXIST! SEXIST! How can you have ladies' night on Monday, but treat them like they are in the wrong place and don't belong there just because there is no man with them??? I am a veteran and was a tank repairer and weapon repairer (Armament Repairer), and seen a lot of crazy shit! But I never mentioned it to them until I pointed out that THEIR WEAPONS ARE DANGEROUS (and they looked at me like I don't know what I am talking about). They told me that the weapons that we used are typical to get JAMMED, TWO OF THE GUNS THAT WE USED, WHAT?? That's the manager talking, and THIS MANAGER SAID THAT IT IS NORMAL FOR IT TO BE JAMMED, REALLY? So technically, having dirty weapons and dangerous weapons is normal for these people. They are providing a very unsafe environment for the people who shoot with their weapons that are nasty and not lubricated enough; where to the point MY DAUGHTER EXPERIENCED UNSAFE WEAPONS THAT JAMMED AND DOUBLE FED IN HER FIRST TIME SHOOTING. I have been to this range over 15 years ago and really enjoyed it then. I brought my son today and we had a chance to shoot for about an hour and a half before heading back home to Vegas. Mark was extremely helpful with some tips which was appreciated. I have two new weapons and was able to shoot my Springfield 9mm and loved it. When I'm back in town, I plan to stop by again for some continued practice. read more

I think Firing Line is exemplary. My husband and I are the the owners of a new handgun. We wanted to test it out at the range. The employees are professional and polite. One helped us pick out some gun cleaning supplies we needed as well as targets for the range. He explained how the range works and helped us select the proper eye and ear protection. It is included in the range fee which is an added bonus. We had an awesome afternoon target shooting. We will absolutely return in the future. If you want to buy a gun from "Dwight Schrute from The Office" by all means this is your place. For me I like to shoot and can't stand the pretentious gun nut types that work in places like this. Go somewhere else there are plenty of local options. Rundown: -Condescending staff more interested in your admiration than a sale. -Ghetto shooting range that's freezing. -Overpriced Ammo. -Most ridiculous Permit to Carry class I've ever seen offered. Most gun stores in the area are $50-$100 cheaper on average (except Centennial Gun Club of course). I surprised my sister for her birthday by blindfolding her in the car and driving her to Firing Line to shoot. She was very surprised and we had a great time. Hpwever it was not a five star experience because of the surliness of everyone working there. I am in no way a shooting expert and don't pretend to be but the employees here were more than condescending when I asked apparently stupid questions. This place was recommended to me by a friend, and I preface this review with: I recently purchased a firearm here, and cycled 75+ rounds through it in the range. The sales desk staff was friendly enough and the selection here is pretty solid. They didn't have the firearm I wanted in stock, but confirmed my model/options/caliber and ordered it for me. I checked their pricing afterwards, and they were priced below the big box stores (Cabela's & Gander Mtn). My firearm arrived in two days, I returned to complete my paperwork. My initial background check was denied. The staff walked me through the appeal process, and after a review/appeal (and a few weeks) I completed my purchase. I'm happy with my new firearm, and the purchase. I wasn't happy with how the range is managed. Staff member running the range desk was rude, and I was charged for my range time even though I was told it would be free on the day I completed my purchase (only $16, but I did just purchase a firearm, and some accessories). To mirror a concern of a few other reviewers, they do seem to let irresponsible groups share a lane, and they don't supervise it sufficiently in my opinion. Handing a firearm to someone who's never handled one without walking them through any basic handgun safety seems unsafe to me. (I.e treat every firearm as if it's loaded, always keep it pointed in a safe direction, etc.) The good: Great selection of firearms Speed of Special orders Knowledgeable staff The bad: Range is poorly run Some staff can be a bit 'snarky' The gun shop feels dark and dusty Overall I'd give the retail shop 4 stars because of the knowledgeable staff, while giving the range 1-2 stars. I definitely wouldn't be driving to The Firing Line solely for range time. (It's also a 40 min drive for me).
