It occurred to me that I never wrote a review on this place! I really like this shop, for different reasons than the other place I reviewed closer to home. The fact that there is a range attached and they have 'Ladies Day' at the range is pretty cool. The prices are reasonable, and they have a very large selection of accessories for pistols and shotguns, however they don't allow shotgun firing on their range anymore. Both times I've been in the customer service has been excellent, the sales people are very helpful. They had my clips that everyone else was out of, and for my fiancé's gun he actually had several options when buying some new clips. I haven't fired here, so I can't say much in the way of that... but the range is for pistol only I believe and it wasn't the top of the line set up. Firing Line - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

Decent place. I'm actually from Montana and I have yet to find any place that compares to what I'm used to in selection and prices. But this place isn't bad. We ended up buying a hand-gun for my wife here and then later on we came back on Monday for thier women-go-free night at the indoor range. Range wasn't great, but it was fine. The only thing that anoyed me was people looked at me funny when I was picking up my cases. I reload, so I'm about not about to waste good brass. So, I figured screw em, I'm going to do pick up whatever I want. I had to stop the kid with the broom once cause he kept sweeping up my cases. Someone said thier ammo was expensive, I didn't find that at all. I paid $15 a box for some cheap 40 S&W rounds to use at the range. Seems about right or even maybe $3 - $5 lower than average. They do have a good selection of handguns. I think their rifle selection is a bit suffering and over-priced. The place is always busy. But, it's still pretty easy to get some questions answered and look at a firearm. The people there are your typical, overly opinionated fire-aream experts. Doesn't matter where I go, you always get this. Not to mention, every place thinks they are 10 times better than the competition. SOOO whatever! For some reason, gun store "Help wanted" signs attract a particular breed of asshole. For such a small shop, it's impressive how much The Firing Line manages to out-ass their competitors. There are really only one or two employees who aren't complete dicks. Sadly, their class and professionalism is dwarfed by the polarity of their dickhole coworkers. The shop is dingy and almost ramshackle in appearance. The range is small, and the employees insist on piling groups together into single lanes. Safety becomes an issue when you've got four or five friends shuffling around, especially since the only countertop surfaces are the narrow shelves in the bays. To make matters worse, you'll rarely see all of their lanes fully operational. The ceiling-mounted target near/far'ers (technical jargon) fail with alarming regularity. Lastly, I'm concerned about lead poisoning due to the atrocious ventilation. If you want to see a real gun shop and range in the area, I strongly suggest you visit the Centennial Gun Club. Slightly more expensive for non-members (note: I'm not a member), but your lungs will thank you. read more

I went in as a new gun owner and needed help picking out some stuff. I need magazines, optics, muffs, targets, ammunition, a case, and help. Luckily the prices were super awesome and so were all the staff.I walked in with my guns and walked out with everything I needed. They helped me pick out everything and fully explained why some pieces were better than others. They even threw in some free targets. I'm not sure why the "x" near kid friendly. I take my boys (18, 13,11) here often. The staff and fellow patrons have always been welcoming. Granted, my boys are well versed in weapons and range safety. Frankly, I'd put them up against more adults for there shooting prowess. But I digress. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I normally only use the range so my comments are directed there. Range cost: can't beat it. Affordable and without pressure of time limits. Range ventilation: could be better in the public side. It's not horrible but don't run off to the airport afterwards. You'll be GSR heaven for TSA dogs. Range general: a little tight if you are shooting with more than two people. So, keep your group small or get multiple lanes (lane price is per person anyway so why crowd yourselves?). It would be nice if target distances were identified somewhere. So your assessment of distance depends on your distal judgement (maybe out a distance on the concrete beams in the range?) Small things that make this range less than 5 stars but if you are looking for a relaxed location to shoot. This is your place. read more

I started doing business with this local dealer in 2017 by buying accessories and other items for the current firearms. Everything was going good until May of 2021 when I was adding a couple of items to my inventory. The customer service was good until after the background cleared. Once it cleared I got call after call saying some many different conflicting things than what I was told during the sales process in the store. After being told that the employees had no idea what they were doing I cancelled everything with the sale. I will now be going to other dealers to get what I need for my firearms. My buddy and I went here on Saturday between 1030-1230. We were next to some amateurs who were not adhering to range safety rules aka keeping their gun down range ....was very unnerving and to make matters worse there was not a range safety officer in plain site to enforce the rules. I recently had a blast bird hunting with guys from work and I wanted to get my own shotgun. One of my buddies swears by Mossberg so I went to this shop to see if they had that. I got a strong greeting from one of their reps and very professional service. It turned out they had the exact gun I wanted on consignment so I got a great price as well as the lock, shells, and case. I was literally in and out in 20 minutes with my new shotgun which I appreciated a lot because I had somewhere to be. I definitely plan on going back to get a Glock 19 I've had my eye on and use their shooting range. read more

Went in to pick up an order that was shipped to them. Stood at counter for at least 5 minutes while two employees rested their kisters on the back display case. When they finally did acknowledge my presence , told them I was there for a pick, about to spend $1,000 buck on the order and had planned to purchase a high end optic a/k/a "Hi Dollar Optic" as well. While doing the background check the clerk discovered that I was in their files for having purchased a "High dollar" suppressor from them some while back, not to mention a Benelli 12 guage on another occasion. Long story short their customer service sucks, last time I'm buying anything from them, would rather drive further and pay more than to deal with them in the future. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give Firing Line a zero I would. I walked into Firing Line today and stood at the gun counter for ten minutes. Three employees looked right through me. Not a hi, how ya doin and most importantly can I help you. After they were done goofing off they all proceeded to help other customers who came in behind me. Strange that everyone they helped other than me were white guys. I am half Irish, half Native American. I asked to speak to a manager and he apologized and asked if he could help me. I told him no thanks and drove a couple of miles to the South and bought a gun at Gander Mountain. Too bad, I had a couple grand in my pocket ready to spend at a local business but went to a chain store instead because the staff at Firing Line were a bunch of dickheads. I was there to buy a 3,000 rifle (SCAR) when someone behind the counter scolded me for leaning on the counter. Then proceeded to tell me what rifle I should buy when it was obvious he had zero trigger / knowledge about said rifle. If you are a new shooter please avoid this place and go somewhere .... I went in and bought a handgun today. I needed one immediately for work. Prices are fair. I walked in asked one of the guys if they had the exact gun I needed his response was, "Maybe." Then another guy walked me to the gun I needed. I paid the $7 for background check and waited. While I was waiting the guy who was helping me was looking at another gun. Two rules "Treat all guns as if they're loaded" and "Never point the muzzle at anything you're not willing to destroy" are two of the 4 major gun safety rules. Well they need to teach this to their staff at the front counter when handling firearms. And please hand people guns without the magazines in them. Lastly after dropping $550 on a gun a "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" would've been nice. I said thank you and got a "Yup" response. I went there a few times back in the day. All of their employees have handguns strapped onto their belts and I wasn't terribly impressed with any of the ones that I dealt with. They seemed to have the typical big gun shop attitude of "hurry up and say what you need to and buy something so that I can move on to the next customer". Considering the cost of today's firearms, that kind of attitude just doesn't make it for me. I did try out their shooting range a few times, but after getting hit in the face with a piece of copper from a neighboring shooter's bullet (not in any way his fault) I decided that enough was enough. I haven't been back and have no plans to go there again. Others opinions and experiences can, and probably will, vary, and that's fine, but this was mine. read more

I had been meaning to try this shooting range for a while but never found the time. I do most of my shooting in Lakewood (during my work lunch). On this Saturday I was going to be in the neighborhood and brought my gun and ammo to check it out. The girl by the shooting range was nice and all she did was take my money. The price of this range is very reasonable ($14 +tax). There are a lot of lanes, so even on a busy day you can find some open lanes, it's very clean and well lit. I see a lot of complaints about the staff and I'd say the complaints are valid. After shooting over a 100 rounds (did pretty well on this day) I decided to check out the guns and some magazines. The guy that came up to help me was not very helpful at all. I've been to OD Green Supply in Westminster and the individual was extremely helpful. Here, however, I couldn't the guy tell me anything...it's like if I didn't know the question he wasn't going to help or volunteer any answer. I hope Firing Line owners/employees see this comment and work on their customer service. I am giving them 2 stars only because of their clean facility. read more

I like this place! I have been here three times in the last month and have had a pleasurable experience each time. First time I came in on a Saturday on my quest for a derringer (which they didn't have at the time) the place was packed but I was handled professionally and quickly. The second time was yesterday when I purchased a handgun - the place was pretty empty. I worked with a gentleman named Russ and he was informative without being condescending. While waiting for the gov't approval to come through I talked with another man about a rifle that I inherited from my father - again a very knowledgeable person. He also gave me a few pointers on identifying another rifle that I had. I came back today to finally shoot one of my rifles (you can shoot 22 rimfire rifles here) and the handgun I purchased yesterday - my goal was to destroy a few zombies (they actually have zombie targets!!) I was able to show the gentleman I talked to about my rifle the actual rifle and he gave me a few pointers on restoration. They have a large assortment of rifles, hanguns, ammunition, cases, and the list goes on. As far as prices - the handgun I bought I got for considerably less than a few other places I checked (it pays to do your homework and look around.) Ammunition is comparable to a little higher in price than some places I have been to - again it pays to do your homework. Lane charges at the range are actually cheaper than the place I usually go to. The range is brightly lit and clean - a definite plus (just an FYI, next week they are going to be closing one range area at a time for cleaning so wait times may be a little longer) I will definitely be back to take out a few more zombies - now that I know about this place and how close it is to my abode. read more

This is an excellent shop. They have fair prices on firearms and the customer service is friendly and knowledgeable. If you have questions they will answer them. The selection and diversity of inventory is great along with menu used firearms for sale ad well. The indoor pistol range is nice but only allows handguns. We have bought 2 pistols here for concealed carry and will more than likely shop here in the future. The only thing this shop needs is a onsite gunsmith and to allow rifles on the range as well. read more

Of all the firing ranges in the Denver metro area, Firing Line is my preferred range (even though they're the farthest from my home). The staff is knowledgeable, their stock is extensive, they have enough lanes that you rarely have to wait for an opening, and they offer a membership for even more benefits. read more

The range is nice but I would not recommend buying ammo here. I bought a few boxes of blazer 9mm. Brought it into the range with my freshly cleaned 1911. And noticed the ammo not firing. I mentioned something about the misfiring ammo to the clerk he just said "ammo is fine, it's your gun". I saved a box of blazer and brought it to a gun store I trust to have them look at it, they informed me it was reloaded. The shells were scuffed, and the ammo wasn't polished. I don't mind buying reloaded ammo. Just don't put it in a box of new ammo and market it as a different product. read more

I've been coming here for years, and I'm rarely disappointed. One has to understand that after current events and trends - more people are taking it upon themselves to learn to protect themselves by taking the classes here and/or practicing every so often. With that said, Firing Line has become more popular than ever. Me, I try to go at least 3 times a month. Their gun selection is vast! And the prices are affordable and fair. Trade ins work, and lay-aways are a way to go also. The staff are nice and knowledgeable. They have helped me a many occasion. The classes are worth it - fun and Informative! I read the previous ratings and thought this place wasn't good. But it was closest location to me, so I decided to try. This is my first range experience aside from my 30 minutes of M16 training during basic training in the Air Force. The employees were exceptionally nice and responsive. Join me for a short story. A few months ago my wife purchased a pistol in our state of residence. When it arrived here we received no notice that it had arrived so it sat for a month before we called to find out. When she went to pick it up, she was turned away for not having a Colorado license. Not wanting to get one, she requested the handgun be transferred to me so that I could pick it up as a gift for her, they didn't budge. We sat on the issue awhile calling every week or so with a new idea, none of them working. Finally three months later we decide to try asking for them to transfer it to me again and somehow that worked. I think she talked to Richard, seemed pretty helpful. Next day we go in with all the proper credentials and everything seems to be going smooth until the employee tries taking a copy of my military CAC card. I snatched it back as quick as I could and informed him that it was against federal law to copy military I.D. cards. He responds saying that I cannot get the gun now because if the BATF needs to see it, they will have it. Then I show him "TITLE 18 U.S.C. 701: U.S. Code - Section 701: Official badges, identification cards, other insignia". I show him the federal law that states that there is jail time and fines for what he wants to do and he says that it's OK because it's a federal form. I am still not convinced that it's fine to break the law yet buddy, especially over a gun. I ask if I can just fill out the paperwork and talk to the manager in the morning, he seems fine with that and steps away. When he comes back, he says that he has just been on the phone with his manager and he said go ahead with the transfer. It basically goes smoothly after that, but for some reason I decide to try to hand him the reference to the law i mentioned above and the guy just stands there with his arms folded saying that a federal law would not change the stores policy... What he didn't seem to get was I run a work center of 60 people, I can name 26 of them with gun fever, all advised not to purchase firearms there because of illegal firearm transfer practices, I spoke with the commander and he has advised the squadron not to shop there, I don't even know how many people that is, but that employee potentially scared all of them away. That law I mentioned above covers any copy of a military I.D. card, for hotels, for gun stores, for rentals, even for the military, they cannot copy their own I.D. On the other hand, their firing range is the tops and their selection is pretty darn good. I think I might be able to give them three stars if they weren't doing things illegally with military customers. The thing keeping me from giving a fourth star is the employees, there is a max of three of them that seem to really want to help the customer find what is right for them, the rest give in to the hype that bigger is better, you must spend a lot of money to get a good gun, and will often guide you away from what you were looking at just to bedazzle you with what's more shiny or what they prefer. They aren't the worst people in the world, but their business needs a bit of work. read more

As a frequent customer to the firing line I have never really had any trouble there at all. The staff is always friendly despite being very busy at times. Even on busy days I haven't had to wait long for a lane at the range, even before I was a member. The membership fees and use fees are both reasonable, and even though I haven't bought anything more than ammo and range time the other prices seem fair as well. read more

My firearms came in on a Friday I had to wait until Monday to receive them as they stated the manager wasn't in I noticed another review they claim the same problem so it seems that they're a bunch of Liars. I was looking to purchase a antique shotgun and noticed that they were unlocked I tried to notify the managers and they looked at me and ignored me and kept walking. They have poor customer service I was trying to ask a question to the wanker and all he could say is yeah yeah yeah yeah.
