I'm not much into fishing or hunting but this store is a fascinating place to visit. A ton of things are here that I never knew existed. Fishing polls for every moment and bait for every fish that exists. There is even an awesome fish tank with fish just relaxing. This place has anything you need if it involves outdoor activities. From games, bows, bait, fishing polls, shotguns, rifles, bikes, clothing. Just a huge list of everything. It would take a long time to explore every nook. Had a gift card and he wanted a multi tool so we drove out there. It's such a fun store to visit. Large parking lot. Fish in the huge tanks. We wandered around and looked at everything before heading to the camping section. Found some paracord and camping items. Tried out their zero gravity chairs. Went into the hunting section to look at their multi tools and knives but were in the wrong section. Kristie was behind the gun counter but she escorted us to the correct section. So nice of her. She also brought the sale circular to see if any multi tools were on sale. The associate behind the knife counter was awful. Sour faced young woman with a bad attitude. Kristie asked her if there were any more of the multi tool he wanted and she mumbled something. Then she left the area. Actually left. We wanted to ask her another question but she apparently didn't want to help anyone. Kristie went off to look on her computer to see if there was stock of the multi tool. While she was gone I was looking at a mini multi tool and I wanted one but it had a magnetic lock. So I went to shoes and had an associate come help me. He was nice and unlocked the magnetic lock. Kristie came back and let us know that she saw some stock but an associate who works in the knife section sometimes told her that the stock had been damaged and sent back and that the young woman knew that. She finally wandered back into the section. If I had only encountered that associate I'd not shop here. She's grouchy and unhelpful. But Kristie and Jackson who checked us out were so friendly that it made a difference. read more

After having been to the area a couple of times, we wanted to check out the Bass Pro Shops! We walked in and were pleased with the wide array of things to see and buy! From the animals, fish, tasty treats, clothing, and equipment! The prices were also reasonable and very much fair which was nice to see. We were able to find some goodies to take back to MN and to family/friends. The reason for 4/5 stars was the pushiness of the employees to sell vacation packages and memberships. My husband and I were walking and a man at a vacation table asked how we were and just after answering, he had my husband for 10 minutes, not giving him one breath to let him know we were not interested. Finally, my husband was able to get a word in and say no but he felt uncomfortable. We then went to look at hats and a staff member came up telling us he had a better hat, a free hat after signing up for membership or something. We ended up leaving early due to feeling like we kept getting cornered/bombarded to sign up/buy stuff. I did have a good experience when checking out with my items from the guest service/side table, they were kind and helpful. The staff were all kind but very pushy which made us leave well before seeing everything! It is a fun place to visit but be prepared to be watched/followed/talked to! read more

Was really fun to get a chance to see the National Tree on its way east. Kinda bummed all the camera crews left their tripods all over. Mom enjoyed getting out and the opportunity to see the tree. Didn't actually go into the store. I've been before, it's big..there is a lot of stuff. I'm sure it looks as it has for years. This review is specifically for the hunting/firearms section. First off, 3 different people handled our transaction of this firearm which does NOT seem like protocol.. My gf and I went into this store on Monday, October 7th to purchased a firearm. We waited the three days for the background check and called on Thursday (3 days later) to see if we could pick up, but were then told over the phone that we had to pick up on Friday. Okay, fine. We went in today, Friday, October 11th, to pick up the firearm and were then told that we were denied, but that it wasn't a federal or state denial. They didn't give us any reason or Transaction codes to go and appeal the denial. We called the store manager, Amanda, to which she very rudely answered the phone and accused us of trying to by firearms for another person. She said we had said this in person that Thursday, but we had never gone into the store that day. She then continued to rudely tell us off and say we were at fault for this denial. In the end, we never got the codes/numbers to appeal this so now we have to take legal action. It honestly felt like we were victims of a racism but I do not want to jump to that conclusion. Thanks for ruining our first time firearm purchase. We will be sure to never purchase firearms from this or any bass pro/ Cabela's. Go to Murdoch's or any other firearm dealer. They have better stuff anyways. Side note: an employee by the name of Drake at the firearms counter was GREAT! Super knowledgable and was the only one who helped and talked to us like normal people. It's my place to hide out while my wife shops, they have all the outdoor things you will need and jerky to get you in a better mood when you see the arm loads your spouse bought shopping. The staff is knowledgable on sporting and bbq items. I find sitting in front of the big fish tank watching the trout. read more

After traveling across the country and visiting many of the Bass Pro Shops, I have been able to find what makes a great outdoors super center. This Bass Pro Shops in particular is very large and has many great taxidermy mounts from all over the world. However everything is spaced out. I also noticed some geographical fallacies painted on the wall in regards to where the taxidermy came from (specifically the American Black Bear as it is also located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, GA and was not listed). The customer service was great however I have experienced better at other locations. Many great things and products to choose from. I also think that the vacation getaway personnel are a little too aggressive and unprofessional. This was the first experience I have ever had with the Bass Pro Shop Vacation personnel and it was very unpleasant. Also, there is a large park that you can walk trails behind this location HOWEVER IT IS LITTERED WITH TRASH AND TARGET CARTS! Nobody seems to care about the environment over here being an outdoors center. Very very disappointed Denver, I was really hoping this was going to be the best of all the Bass Pro Locations I have been to. Hope to see improvements next time around! read more

So I wish I could say I love this place but honestly I just don't have the time to take advantage of all the merchandise that they have to offer for your outdoor /adventure/ camping needs. Like most guys i wish I had more time to be on a lake or on the bank of a stream , drowning worms, I mean battling or outsmarting the fish I'm in search of that day or week. But I just don't. This place as well as its sister store Cabelas has all your hunting,fishing,camping, Grilling, Atv-ing, boating ( to a certain scale) needs. Prices are moderate in my opinion not to high unless you want to throw down the big money you can. At one time can't say I saw it on this particular day you could even grab a bite to eat, but you'll have to verify it since that nasty word Covid and all. But if your looking for anything outdoorsy, is that a word? You can pretty much find it here. Clothing, shoes,/boots ,hats / sunglasses/ dehydraters, rifles and just too much to list. So in the end I definitely would recommend this place and if you're looking for something to do with the great outdoors and don't want to take a chance on going to the Wal-Mart/ Target stores this is place that "probably " has it. read more

Went in to purchase a firearm. Was planning on asking for a price match per their website. I knew more about it than the manager who at first refused until I showed it to her on the Bass Pro website. She eventually and angrily said fine. Their process for purchasing a firearm is ridiculously repetitive. In my case, my info was reviewed by 4 different employees before I was told the store wouldn't proceed with the sale. When I asked why, I was told that my info was similar to someone else who was denied years ago. I learned that their system compares a buyer's info against everyone who has ever bought a gun from them before they will submit a background check. Someone else had the same name but spelled differently and with a different address. Ironically, I have purchased a couple firearms from them in the past, but their system couldn't find those transactions. I asked for the store Manager and waited. When he turned up, he looked into the situation and he agreed to proceed with the sale and submit my background check. It's absurd that it took a store manager to give the go ahead and figure out that someone with a different address and name spelled differently wasn't me. The final kicker was I was just about to pay for the firearm, when I was told that they couldn't sell it to me. The manufacturer had recalled it and they had to send it back to them! At the end of the day, I spent around 2 hours jumping through their hoops for nothing! Additionally, they require a 4-day waiting period instead of the state required 3-day because they can't figure out how to account for the time of day you purchase the firearm. Never shopping here again. read more

UPDATE! The BF and I are def fans of Bass Pro Shops. We've ventured here many times over the years to browse the various adventure outfitting goods they carry. Recently the BF and I found ourselves at Bass Pro Shops to browse the gun counter. Jacob was incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a few specific questions about differences between two very similar handguns and comparison questions between bullet caliber. I really appreciate that he took the time to ask about anticipated use and provided a lifestyle appropriate answer. Not something you'd think about when looking to purchase a gun (but you should). I will be back to work with him specifically for future purchases and questions for sure! With the not so recent purchase/merger of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's you can now exchange Cabela's gift cards for Bass Pro Shops gift cards at customer service. Just make sure to do this before you go to check out! As with my previous review, the only draw-back I see about Bass Pro Shops is the price. Everything here is just so darn expensive! That is in part due to the brands they choose to carry, but it is still quite frustrating. Def will continue to shop Bass Pro Shops in the future! read more

****CUSTOMERS BEWARE**** I shouldn't be forced to leave 1 star. 0 stars is even a stretch for their store manager Jim at store #34. Be careful purchasing any merchandise marked on sale with orange stickers clearly on discount tables!!! Grabbed a nice rod off the discount table, almost got 2 of them. Thank God we didnt... Went up to the register to pay. Sticker shows 19.99 and the cashier says 44.99. She says the sticker is wrong. I walk back to the table where the rods are--I find the store manager Jim and his fingers covered in orange stickers. Ironically none of the rods I found now have stickers on them. He proceeds to openly tell me I must've put that sticker on the rod/reel combo. At this point I almost fell over. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on gear here and at cabelas. I dont need to break the law over a good find for 20$. Jim proceeds to tell me there is no way a store associate did this, and that I or someone else did this and somehow that's my problem. He then takes me to the side of the store where he says he will go check the cameras to see if I touched the rods long enough to put a sticker on it. He comes back and says he can't prove I did it, BUT someone else was there before me. I asked him if he had video of this other person collecting all the similar rods to place on the table with matching orange stickers, to which he had no response. Jim is so telling of a store manager. In the retail world he told me I couldn't have the rod for 20$, BUT I could have the rod for 25$ and all my pathetic quality 4 cuts of 2oz sucker meat for free (which was a comical $3.50 a piece). What makes no sense here is that 20 min later after we were accused of finding stickers in the store and putting them on the poles to our face by Jim, he gave us more than what he absolutely refused in the first place. Because all I wanted was 20 off the rod. Then I asked for the fish for free and he just obliged knowing he was heavily in the wrong. If anyone denies he accused us--I'm pretty sure it breaks protocol to tell a customer and his wife they will go check the cameras to see if I put a sticker on a rod.. This entire event was reported to the corporate office where they gave me another gift card to apologize and said they would contact the district manager and pull the footage from the store. Redneck paradise! I'm completely in love with Bass Pro Shops. This place has everything you need to survive the zombie Apocalypse. All sorts of survival gear, camping equipment, guns, archery items, bear repellant, etc..... In addition to all that fun stuff, they have a great selection of clothing - not just hunting type either - i mean real clothes. Comfortable clothes. Also....food. I'm really in love with the Beef Sticks. They are like the summer sausage/yard of beef kind of thing. Anyhow, even if you aren't a redneck, check this place out. Having missed the grand opening of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Rocklin California last week. My wife and I just happen to be staying at a hotel just across the street from one of the bigger Bass Pro Shop in Denver Colorado. I don't know if all of their stores are the same size or not but this place was enormous! As we walked in , we were astounded by all the different life like taxidermy animals lined all along the walls. Each animal placed in their own natural setting. Bighorn Sheep high in the rugged mountains. Grizzly Bear eating a salmon near a stream! Buffalo roaming on the plains with a pack of wolfs following close behind. A huge lifelike waterfall cascading over the mountaintop! They even had a huge aquarium with a large number of different species of live fish. When it comes to the Great Outdoors , Bass Pro Shop has everything you can ever ask for ! Camping gear up the kazoo ! More fishing equipment than you can even imagine! A full line of hunting rifles and ammunition. Men,women, children outdoor shoes and clothing. A marine center for all your boating needs. A huge display of fishing boats as well as a large number of ATV vehicle for sale. They even had a small cafe called Uncle Bucks Coffee Shop located dab in the center of the mega store . Selling coffee, soda, and snacks. Coming here was an adventure on its own! All the employees were super friendly and very helpful! Every outdoorsman needs supplies to get them through their next adventure. The best place to find everything under one roof is Bass Pro Shops! They have a lot of equipment in stock that appeals to people from different walks of life. It's not just for hunters and fisherman but also for families who want to get away from the big city and enjoy nature's blessings. Bass Pro is located just off of Highway 270 in a large shopping center. The nearest cross streets are North Trenton Street and East 47th Avenue. Most people entered the lot from Unita Street because it led straight to the store. It's further away from the main outdoor shopping center and stands alone on the opposite side of the lot. Plenty of spaces are available so you won't be inconvenienced when looking for parking spot to park your vehicle. First and foremost, it should be stated that Bass Pro Shops is one of the most beautiful rustic stores that you could ever visit. It's like a ginormous log cabin, complete with stuffed animals and I'm not talking about teddy bears! Live fish swim in a tank and as you come down the elevator, you come face to face with trout! Antlers, kerosene lamps, lodge pole furniture, and so much more can be found throughout the store. It's absolutely beautiful! Bass Pro is sectioned off to make it easy for you to locate what you're looking for. Upstairs you'll find rifles, camping gear, shoes, fishing gear,and ATVs. Downstairs is where they keep clothing, kitchen decor, knickknacks, and boating supplies. Prices are very reasonable and they carry hard to find items. Everyone is super friendly and incredibly helpful so you should have a positive experience in the store. What I love about Bass Pro is that they hold classes in the building on a regular basis. If you need a refresher course on rifles, guns, or boating techniques then check the schedule and sign up for what you need. It's also dog-friendly so you can bring your faithful companion in and shop without being hassled. Of course The NRA (National Rifle Association) has well-known presence at Bass Pro and often times you'll find them outside of the store. As a woman who has a love of fishing, I find this store to be perfect in every way. I've picked up weights, rods/reels, and lures at reasonable prices. Their prices are competitive and the only way that you'd beat them is to go to a smaller outdoorsman store. However, I like how convenient Bass Pro is because you'll find everything that you need under one roof. A trip to Bass Pro is a bit overwhelming because you might feel like a kid in a candy store! What you didn't know about the Billy Bob Bass Pro Shop in Denver: it's GPS Coordinates are 39.7807ºN, 104.8959ºW. Now if you'da been there and bought any one of 150 GPS units they sell you'da known that. Every time I go in there I buy sumpin'. Last night it was a Franklin's worth of flies and other fishin gear. The week before it was a couple of boxes of 30.06 Core-Lokt Remington ammo (hey, ya gotta practice if ya wanna bring home the bacon). A month before that it was a T-shirt for my honey that said: "You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning." (Uhh, just kidding about that one). But the point is this place presents the perfect redneck marriage of Costco and blue-collar REI. Lots of stuff for every bohunk AND they have a frequent purchaser program that credits points for every dollar spent. First of all, let me say that as a self proclaimed redneck, I am thoroughly ashamed to admit I have never been to a Bass Pro Shop. Mostly because they were no locations near the places I have lived but still, that's no excuse. It's almost like saying you've never been to Disneyland because you don't live in California or Florida. We actually decided to come in here because our hotel was across from it and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. HOLY WILLY WONKA! My eyes would not stop bugging out when I walked through the doors. Plaid, camouflage, dead animals, boats far as the eyes could see. Pretty cool that you can buy clothes, home decor and furnishings, food, boats and atv's, equipment for any kind of outdoor activity and classes on how to for any of those activities. The employees in here were pretty cool to talk with, being informative and helpful. One kid tried to talk me into buying a Yeti can cooler that keeps my can of beer colder for a long period of time. I told him I've never had a 12oz beer get hot on me so I had no need to spend $24 on this particular item. Speaking of the prices, from what I seen, the prices are pretty reasonable. Bought a nice shirt for $24 and a flannel jacket for $19. I'm sure these aren't the highest end brands but c'mon! I don't need a designer tag for flannel. Well, thats about it. Just wanted to say that I've found my new, most favorite store in the whole world. The nearest one to me here in San Diego is Rancho Cucamonga. I usually detest going anywhere near the LA area but if this is what I have to do to get my fix in, I reckon' I'll have to. read more

So let's talk about Bass Pro shops. It was father day on the 18th, it was 3:45 PM, and I wanted to buy a $3,000 dollar shotgun, so I went in there. I had to wait 20 minutes, it is clear that to management didn't have enough staff. So I finally got on the list! I noticed that they we're talking one customer at a time really? So after an hour we got an audience. This is way to long! So I was going to buy the gun, but to staff was rude! So I was distracted! Then I showed my I.D. That was not good enough! It was a Adams County Retired Cops which required me to carry a concealed firearms , off duty after 26 years. I was carrying that day! So I presented my Co driving license and that was good enough! So this guy who was about 5'7 and with short brown hair started playing police. He said answer and read these federal questions! So he gave me a strange computer, I was to answer at least 20 questions after waiting a hour, really? So he kept interject your wife can't talk to you and help you! She was helping me with the computer not the /question! I answered no to all of them and I got the 1st question wrong, really? So the guy said you have to come back another day and he didn't sell me the Browning Cynergy Wicked wing Camo. That guy was something else! So let's talk realistic! I visited there 5 years and I even take my kid to Santa well I not going there anymore! I spent the 4 years in the Airforce enlisted, got the GI Bill, then the Army made me an Officer. They even had parking for vets. Then I spent 26 years as a Cop and I presented my credentials, that didn't matter! I am a retired and after my service I get this treatment? I told my wife and boy to put the items back! I would have spent easily $4,000 dollars. I was treated like a criminal! So let's talk about criminals because I arrest them for 26 years. The criminal would lie, answering those questions. And if the criminal didn't get the shotgun they would buy it on the Black Market! I wouldn't have failed the 1st question if it wasn't for that guy making it hard guess you don't want $4,000 dollars. So I'll give my money to Murdock's. You won't sell me a shotgun gun when I admitted a mistake! I was carrying that day! You make it hard for the citizens and easy for the criminals! I have plenty of friends in 2 branches of the military and plenty of friends as a Cop! I going to tell my friends that this company is the criminal advocate!
