Just want to provide an update about the last time I was here they were really busy, but they acknowledged me and came to help me within about five minutes or so. I found something that worked for me, they boxes it up double checked that I did miss any questions on my paperwork and after waiting my three day waiting period I was on my way. They have always had some of the most product out of any home owned mom and pop shop so I have never lacked for selection and variety. Also they prices are very competitive and you even get a little break if you pay with cash. Ian Bailey has usually been my go to guy giving me the God's honest truth about pros and cons to make sure I know exactly what I am getting. Jordan is extremely rude and belligerent to the Customers telling them they cannot leave unless they talk to her because someone mentions writing a bad review on the service further telling them the are not getting a refund unless again you talk to her. WTF SERIOUSLY who is SHE to tell a Customer wanting to leave they can't because she wants to talk to them while refusing to refund a ticket. Seriously needs better Customer Management and Owner as Gina came agreeing with Jordan. Just to start off the service is amazing. Second they have really good hardware. Check out the online weekly deals and once you've gone to the store they usually have it cheaper. I spent like a 100 rounds trying to sight it in super patient, super knowledgeable. And I had some duuuumb questions about how to operate the targets. Give this dude a raise! The older lady and younger lady at the range counter. They were very friendly and nice.. the younger lady had to repeat herself a few times cause I'm older and hard of hearing at my age and have a tendency to get people frustrated with it. Not her.my wife would feel really comfortable in the atmosphere and I can't wait to take her shooting here! I have always not taken my wife shooting cause it was a bunch of dudes at the range that make her uncomfortable. Reminds me of the episode of The Big Bang theory when Penny goes into the comic book store and it's just all dudes . Definitely female friendly as I saw as many female shooters and workers as I did male. Never seen that at any gun store or range.. female friendly gun store and range! Sure is! Went in originally just to look. Ended up purchasing two firearms. At first I wasn't too impressed with the customer service but "SPIDER" helped me so so much! I Can see why this place has 3 stars on Yelp. The first guy that helped me was decently helpful but right when I was going to tell him I would take the Daniel Defense AR he just walked away. Very interesting sales tactic. I then proceeded to ask another employee about some of the items and he also just kept walking away from me. Im an avid gun collector and was ready to throw down a couple Gs on some items they had. Not sure if it's the way I look, or the fact I'm not some weird old NRA loving gun owner, but they way they talked to me was just downright demeaning. Just not a good vibe from any of the employees, and i don't say that often. It was almost as if they just wanted to take my money and for me to screw off. I just felt like they didn't want me there anymore and frankly this was the second time this has happened. I went in here one time before about a year ago and thought maybe I'll give them another try. Nothing changed. I took my business to Rocky Mountain Pawn in brighton. I picked up a desert eagle, an FN 545 (which I was looking at @ 5280 armory) and some parts and optics totaling about $4500 on Sunday. I don't think I will ever set foot in 5280 armory ever again. They lost me as a customer and it seems like I'm not the first to have this issue. read more

I was treated like I couldn't afford anything. This old guy looked at me and when I asked how much for a Springfield Saint AR-15 pistol, he looked at me like I couldn't afford it. Told me it was $1000 then he walked off like he had something better to do than let me take a look at the AR-15 pistol. Been buying a lot of firearms in the past and never got treated like this before. In his defense I was wearing Adidas hoodie and sweetpants so I guess he thought I was a thug. His loss I went to another local firearm store and bought one from them who didn't judge me for the way I looked, even looking like thug in sweetpants and hoodie. Went in to buy my first AR15, was treated with absolute disrespect. Guy behind the counter just kept asking me "so you gonna buy this one?" and wouldn't answer any of my questions in anything longer than 3 words with a ton of contempt. One example: I asked if a rail could hold zero because I like to use a green laser with my rifle; guy behind the counter scowled at me and responded, "I don't know. You gonna buy this one then?" Wouldn't recommend for a new gun purchaser or really anyone else unless they and only they have what you are looking for. Large selection but it doesn't really matter when you're treated with disdain by the staff. Bought my Daniel Defense at a different store with much friendlier staff. Gun selection: 7/10 (had a lot but not what I wanted) Customer service: -5/10 (never felt this unwelcome in a gun store before) If I could give a 0/5 stars I would. I was in the market for a new AK-47 rifle. My wife and I decided to checkout 5280 Armory. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. There was a wait list so I put my name down on their wait list sheet. After 10 min, my name was called. The sales person that helped me was very friendly and professional. He showed me all the rifles that I was interested in. He answered all my questions and he was very patient with me cuz I couldn't decide which rifles I wanted to buy. He gave me some great suggestions. I ended up purchasing two rifles from them. While waiting for the CBI to come back, we were just walking around the store checking out all the other firearms and accessories. All the sales person working that day came up to us and asked if we need any help. Great customer service! I would definitely recommend this place. They have a huge selections of firearms. read more

The range is indoor and on one side, armory on the other. They have a huuuuge selection of guns! Its apparent they are doing something right to draw the crowds. But unless you're a member, it is unlikely you'll get a chance to actually shoot there. I have been avoiding this place because of the poor reviews. I've been going over to Westminster Arms. The customer service is stellar, but they mark everything up A LOT and I was tired of paying such high prices, so I relented and went over to check out this place. It seems most of the negative reviews are because this place is busy. Even in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday, it had probably 10 people there. So, knowing that... I went in and made it very clear that I was interested in purchasing. The owner himself spent probably 10 minutes with me running through options, giving me his personal opinion. He never once acted agitated that I was asking so many questions. He passed me off to one of his employees to complete the purchase. Background check took a little while, but again... it was because there were other people in front of me. All-in-all, the customer service was great. Both the owner and his wife were genuinely honest and nice people. The best part? The prices. These guys charge you pretty much the same you can find online. I'll continue going here for all my firearm needs. I'll update the review if needed, but it was a great first experience for me. read more

My wife and I have been going to 5280 Armory for the range and to purchase new items. My wife likes 5280 because they know how to appeal to the female customer. The shop is owned by a husband/wife and they take the time to provide gender specific recommendations. Some firearms and accessories are specific to men/women and they understand that. They made my wife feel comfortable and welcomed. I have purchased a couple of items and found their prices to be fair and their selection is by far the best I've ever seen. I had an experience yesterday that gives me a new reason to be a raving fan. I had a product that I purchased elsewhere that has consistent issues. Bryan and Paul took the time to come out to the range and recommend several solutions to my problem. They helped me repair a product that no one has been able to help me with (including the manufacturer) for the past few years. There are few ranges/stores that provide the service and have a staff as great as 5280. Also - I would encourage anyone reading these reviews... take a good look at the negative ones and decide if those are probably reviews from people that are never happy or a legit bad experience. If you are seeking professional advice and great customer service I don't recomend 5280. I have shopped and purchased alot from this place and had bad expierence all times. I had bought a gun that was supposed to be brand new and when i brought home to swap out parts I noticed it was filthy inside and was no way it was brand new. My last visits i had bought tools for my gun that the guysaid would work with my brand. Which was not the case and tried to return the very next day and was denied. First off I went in and no one was wearing masks, agree with it or not it's a statewide mandate and their signs stated no one was allowed in without a mask. Apparently except employees. I counted 4 employees and only one customer other than me. It still took 15 minutes before one of the other employees finally decided to help me. Bear in mind the first thing I did was walk in and ask for help with some ammo and sign their sheet. Listening to them talk makes me think they were hired because they were family, which explains their disregard for helping a customer if they aren't worried about doing a good job. Have bought a couple of guns from them in the past but will not give them anymore of my business. Most of the staff seems dismissive. There is no Range Safety officer on the range side just someone that comes in every so often and cleans up spent casings. I went in there one day and just out of curiosity I asked them how much they would give me for an firearm and I was told they can only give me $300 because people are not buying those guns (The firearm is a FN509C tactical with a red dot) Keep in mind that it's 2020. Went to another store and they offered me way more. 5280 your not the only gun store in Colorado. You and cheaper than dirt are two peas in a pod. read more

5280 Armory store is a fantastic experience. I just bought a rifle I had been looking all over for. I called the shop, they had the rifle in stock so I went in. First off, their store is impressive. The biggest selection I've seen outside of Las Vegas. The store is very well organized by brand and caliber. When I approached the counter a staff member greeted me right away. The rifle I was looking for was in stock as promised and priced VERY competitively (even when compared to online prices). I was also impressed by their selection of collectors forearms too. If you're looking for a unique piece of history check here first. The 5280 Armory offers a 'cash' discount on almost all firearms sold there which is nice. Basically they pass along the savings of not having a credit card transaction fee. The staff overall was friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be driving the 30 minutes from home to make ALL my future purchases here. They are definitely worth the drive. I'll be back soon to check out their indoor range, hopefully it's run as well as the 5280 Armory store. read more
