Anyway I would like to give Kudos to the excellent customer service that this particular location has extended to me and my family. when walking in you are greeted, asked what your looking for and directed to the section that may have what your looking for. After that they notify the associate in or near that dept that you are headed their way so they may assist you. On this particular occasion we were returning a bike recently purchased, as it had a manufacturer defect. Upon calling the store I explained the situation to Travis, the store Mgr and he quickly went to check stock to replace the defective product unfortunately they did not have one, so instead he offered to upgrade the bike at no cost to us and said he had a few choices my Son could pick from. Upon arriving we were met by SJ another store Mgr and informed us that he had been made aware of the situation and was expecting us, he than called back to the department associate to let them know we were on the way back to him. After my Son made his selection to our surprise SJ showed up back in the bike department to be a second set of eyes that completed the safety checklist that was performed by Moe the on duty bike tech at the time and also to make sure the transition went as smoothly at possible. I personally have not received this level of excellence in customer service for a very long time and even upon asking about a new shipment of YETI coolers SJ advised me to call the store as to check stock so I don't waste a trip. But in the end if you have any needs as far as any type of sporting goods this would be the place that I would recommend the only thing that seems to be lacking is the fishing gear which is no fault of their own blame COVID for that. But honestly even though we live closer to another location this is now my "new" home store. Definitely recommend on customer service only if that gets you in there. P.S. they also offer points for purchases and points for steps!!

What started as a simple exchange of soccer cleats. Turn into a stressful morning. Should have simply arrived and gotten help to return and place an order for a new size. Instead had me wait 20 min. For her to say that her system is down. And then I have to download the app and have it shipped to my house. She returned the credit to a gift card and told me to download the app and go re order my cleats. and now I can't order them as it won't let me ship to the store. And shipping it to my house is 14$ more expensive. Everything from the online purchase, pick up ,return went great. Leaving me to basically fix the problem myself. Just a lil more attention and effort would be nice! I'll be back for sure just some feed back to work off from. As I've been coming here for years definitely my favorite DICKS AROUND

It's a wonderland of products for an outdoor enthusiast: clothes and shoes for any activity, camping gear, biking gear, fishing gear, hunting gear and hats galore. They even have other miscellaneous items to keep non-adventurers excited like soaps, toys, dish towels, hot sauce, dog toys, etc. Truly, they have it all! And... it's all priced the same as REI. Plus, staff has always been helpful when I've asked questions. And... they allow dogs in their stores! It's been a great spot to take our pup to socialize. :D

Great selection of all kinds of things. Prices are a bit higher than those box stores but you get far better service and selection. They also have an old school style coffee and ice cream shop!! They would check it, send an estimate and with acceptance repair and ship it back. That seemed unnecessarily complicated from a place like Boulder, home of many outdoor gear companies and repair support. We stopped in to the place we had purchased it, our REI store being incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of such repairs, though they don't do any themselves. They gave us two names, Bare Boulder being the most comprehensive and a 20 minute drive away, on a prominent street in Lafayette. I called, got info from the owner, Eli, about general pricing and timing. We took the bag of poles out 3 weeks ago, the estimate in person was at the low end of general approximation on the phone. We dropped it off and was told about 3 weeks as my husband had no need to camp with for at least a month. We picked it up today, ready on time and beautifully done with even higher quality cord than original. The shop is amazing, with antique sewing machine display, thousands of sizes and colors of zippers, piles of buckles and straps. It appears he can fix such parts on almost anything, luggage, jackets, backpacks, scuba BC vests, tents handbags, tote bags, recreation gear galore. We will certainly return as we wear out more and more of our gear.
