I love coming to my neighborhood DICK'S Sporting Goods. It's always a fun time. Except for this morning at 9am. I was greeted like always so nice. Eager to seem to help. What started as a simple exchange of soccer cleats. Turn into a stressful morning. Should have simply arrived and gotten help to return and place an order for a new size. Instead had me wait 20 min. For her to say that her system is down. And then I have to download the app and have it shipped to my house. She returned the credit to a gift card and told me to download the app and go re order my cleats. and now I can't order them as it won't let me ship to the store. And shipping it to my house is 14$ more expensive. Everything from the online purchase, pick up ,return went great. Leaving me to basically fix the problem myself. Bought a bike here, and the piece on the back tire the gear runs through broke 3 months later. Did the click to chat customer service on the Dicks website and they said it would be under warranty and to return to the store for them to replace that part. Store refused to honor what their online support said and that it is 'designed' to break so something else that could do more damage doesn't break instead. If I knew the bike was that portly built with parts wouldn't have bought it. Only took the bike on the Hwy 36 bike path in CO so not like it was abused. read more

I like that this location is HUGE and has so many of the big names here. Once you get a hang of the layout it's easy to run in and look for something in a jiffy. I especially like the selections of Patagonia, The North Face, Alpine Design, as well as ASICS and Under Armour, which some locations don't carry much of a selection of the high-end brands like Patagonia and TNF. If you browse their online site, select this store, and choose "In Store" as well as "Pickup," it can save you some time by allowing the staff to find the product you wish to purchase so all you do is come inside to get it or check-in for a curbside pick-up order. I did this just today, and it was a breeze! It took only 44 minutes for me to get the email confirmation that my order had been processed and was ready for me to snag at my earliest convenience. If something comes up and you can't make it by that day, you have FOUR days to pick up whatever you've ordered. So convenient! read more

Dicks.com will accept your order, then when you call the store they will tell you it may take 2 hours for them to receive the order (which it does), then they will find the item is no longer in stock two hours later, they will cancel your order and say not to worry because they didn't charge your credit card. Corporate seriously needs to do something to save this location. I have been here a few times over the last few years, hoping the service gets better, and I swear it's getting worse instead of better. I went there to get a massage gun, a $400 purchase. I looked around the store and couldn't find it, so I asked someone upstairs for help. They sent me downstairs, and I looked all around downstairs, but it was nowhere to be found, so I asked someone downstairs. And instead of making sure I got help, she pointed me to another area of the store to find it on my own. Finally, I just checked out and asked the person ringing me up if they knew about them. He said he didn't, but he would ask through their headset. They found out they were locked behind counters that no one could shop. He told me he would look to get the keys and then told me the keys weren't working. At that point, I was so frustrated and over it, I just wanted to get out of the store as soon as possible. Your staff needs training in customer service, and they need to better training on where things are located. read more

Hey, Dick's...here is your new slogan: "Get treated like a dick at Dick's!" In numerous situations (half of which involve my mom), this above expression might be considered some sort of compliment. Not this time! What should make you feel the most impotent about my visit, Dick's, are the multiple boners in customer service. I don't want to go off half-cocked...BUT... We asked numerous employees where we could find reflective run gear...and each time we were pointed to different parts of the store by "help" that: (a) Didn't know (b) Didn't care (c) Didn't know/care/and wanted to eat our faces (d) Cared or knew, but wanted to eat our faces so much, that the distraction was too great. *** Eventually, after the Frodo-esque journey we were sent on through your store, we tried pressing the magical HELP ME button. This is when we got to meet Tiffany or Willow or Candy or whatever her name was. Oddly, she, too, didn't know where reflective run items were...but she did do one fun thing. She checked in with god(?)/her boss(?)/Sauron(?)/my mom(!) via her very fancy headset...paused 1/2 a second after asking where these items were...and then instantly told us, "We don't have that right now...but we should later." Now...I don't know if she really asked anyone or not...which is kind of hilarious...but there are two things that did bother me: (1) "Later" is quite an interesting word to choose and not develop into a complete thought. You see, it can mean a lot of things. Like five minutes. Or next year. So we just stood looking at her...and she stood lifelessly looking at us. In response, I jumped up and down like a monkey and made circus sounds (do-do-dododo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D5Sa2Yq-2g&list=RD1D5Sa2Yq-2g#t=0)... ...in my head. In reality...we just told her we would go somewhere else. One more time... That's right. REFLECTIVE MOTHER F'N RUN GEAR. The best part: she watched us get out of line to where it was and didn't say a word! But this wasn't the end of our journey... *** I won't even go into the lady that did a Saturday Night Live-esque price check for five-to-ten minutes for the customer that was right in front of us in line. Nope...not going to go into it. Shit happens. I had nowhere to be. Maybe that wasn't her fault. Maybe she didn't think about moving on to the next customers while they figured that shit out. Maybe. What I do want to get into is how I got to listen to the checker in the next aisle do something rather unbelievable over and over again. You know that scene in Office Space where the receptionist says: Corporate accounts payable, Nina speaking. Just a moment Corporate accounts payable, Nina speaking. Just a moment Corporate accounts payable, Nina speaking. Just a moment Again and again. Exactly the same way. Not really listening to what is being said on the other end of the line. Robotic. Brainless. There in body. Not in mind. Now...add in an emo-esque, sixteen-year-old, the world-is-coming-to-an-end, I-should-work-for-a-mortuary tone to this repeated greeting below (I am paraphrasing): "Hi (full mortuary, already in effect). Welcome to Dick's (Solemn. Her pet hamster just died.). Do you have a Dick's reward card (what's the point, though? We're all going to die)? It's free and you get blah-blah-blah..." Never looking up. Fortunately, after only getting to listen to her, I finally had to give up and go in her lane because my lady was still trying to describe her price-check item to Sauron. You know what...Like honey badger, Sauron doesn't give a shit. He just wants the ring...Sauron feels like a dick because he has to work at Dick's and do price checks and tell assholes where the reflective run gear is all day. ANYWAY, I move over to Lifeless McGee's line...and she starts to go into her act...and right when she starts...I try to cut her off: Morose Mary: Hi, Welcome to... Me: No, thank you. Morose Mary: (no eye contact) ...Dick's. Do you... Me: (louder) NO THANK YOU. Morose Mary: (no eye contact) ...have a Dick's reward card.... My plan didn't work. If you're military, do not come to this store. I had to drive an hour to buy a large purchase because they didn't have it at my local Dicks. They don't offer military discounts even though this state is riddled with military. Good thing my local store has my back and will refund me the money. She said she didn't know and then transferred me to another department. It's been 15 minutes and I'm still on hold. I have a sneaking suspicion that no one even knows that I'm on hold. I brought my 87 yo mother to buy some walking shoes. It took us several minutes to find an employee to help us get the shoes she wanted to try on. He came back with the box with one shoe in it and said we'd have to find the match on the wall. We couldn't find the matching shoe and when we tracked down the employee again and told him the problem and he responded "Oh it must be a manufacturer problem" and walked off. My mother wanted to try another pair of shoes so I tracked down the employee again and again one shoe in the box and no match on the wall! We walked out at that point and I won't be shopping at Dicks ever again! read more

The selection is great but the staff are a hit or miss. Most of the young employees don't care if you get help or not. They rush through everything and ultimately make you wish you just shopped online. Just today, I bought a jacket and was checking out and the kid rang the price up wrong (it was a clearance item). I tried explaining the different clearance prices but he insisted he was right. So i I took his word for it but felt the need to ask a manager once I was in my car. I call up, hear "dicks how can I help you?" (In the fastest way possible a sentence could be said) and I ask to speak to a manager. Manager girl picks up and I ask her about the clearance item and she just says "hold on" and put me on hold for 10 mins LOL! WOW! Purchased a Ping Pong table from Dick's Sporting Goods to bring it home and half the parts were missing. Worked for 2 months during COVID with the manufacture with no success. Spoke to the wonderful team at Dick's Sporting Goods in Broomfield that told me to return the table. I returned the table and purchased a new one. They were all very professional and helpful. Unloading and loading into my truck. The staff at this store was exceptional. Job well done and we are now playing Ping Pong. YEAH! Stood at the dressing room for 15 minutes...after (pressing the help button more than once) waiting 5 minutes, we asked a female at the counter (tianna) if she could send someone that way. Which apparently she did but no one showed. We continued to press the help button but no response from anyone. Finally we went back to the counter and the same girl was standing there with a non caring , blank look on her face. Like she didn't care. I have been on the market for two beginner kayaks for a couple months as a wedding anniversary present to my wife because we live by a lake. We checked everywhere starting with Craigslist, then Sports Authority, Wal-Mart and REI. Dick's was closed on Easter, which was inconvenient for us but great for their employees. I used to work retail and believe that employees deserve to celebrate some holidays with their family considering how many hours are worked around christmas etc. and Black Friday is just sadistic. Anyway, after researching online we thought we liked the Pelican brand for the money and had many favorable reviews. Pricing, appearance and service were better at Dick's than any of our other experiences. Nick M. who was fantastic! He helped us make the right decision on the two kayaks and got us signed up for the rewards program and honored the coupons that we had found researching online. All with a pleasant attitude, super friendly and down to earth. He carried the boats to our small SUV where we loaded and strapped them in. So my husband and I both work in retail and have made our living providing good customer service. Today at Dick's, we were looking for sand bags to weigh down a pop up tent for an event tomorrow. Jeff not only knew right where to find them, but walked us downstairs to the location. I HATE when people point. We literally left Lowe's an hour earlier after being pointed all over the store and never finding what we needed. The store appears to be stocked pretty well. There is something for every sport for the most part. But be prepared to know what you want because the staff here is NO help. I asked about a pair of running shoes that I was interested in but out of stock in my size. "will you get more in?" "i don't know". "when do you get your shipments?" "every week". "what day?". "i'm not sure". "is there anyway you can check?". "no". "can you check to see if another store has it in my size?". "no". And on and on it went. You get the idea. This store is huge but totally overpriced, and they usually don't have a nice variety of sizes in many items. HOWEVER, the biggest gripe I have is their STUPID points card that they will HARD SELL you on. First, they'll ask you if you have one, and when you say "no," they'll immediately say "Oh, I'll sign you up for one right now," and the clerk will start entering a new registration for you WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. I've had this happen THREE TIMES so far. Of course, you could refuse to give them your personal info. for the registration, but they sure hustle you, as they've been trained to do, no doubt. After you get the card, expect buttloads of junk mail and spam, and don't ever expect to get your minuscule store certificate as your points reward unless you're a coach buying tons of stuff there per year. I've read the entire points program agreement (small print) and it's a crappy deal that just allows them to get your marketing info., as usual. read more

I am always surprised by what they have in stock when I only plan to browse this store. I always end up buying something. I think is a combination of the friendly staff as well as what they keep in their inventory. I am an active person and like to keep my workout/running clothes updated, so whenever I am in the area, I will come in to take a peek at what is available. There usually is something that is useful to my daily workouts or something on sale for me to buy. I don't mind, because it keeps my workout fashion updated! read more

I went to Dick's looking for a coat because I forgot mine in Texas. Laugh it up guys.... I found a nice one for $80 off, bought it and thought I was done. After I made that purchase and ended up buying a crew neck sweatshirt, a t shirt and a long sleeve shirt, all Under Armour and all size mediums. I have been fairly happy with Dicks up until now. They always help stack some coupons to bring down the price. Well, today the register guy and the manager took great pleasure in only allowing one coupon to be used and really enjoyed pointing out the policy on the coupon. I spent over $300 and they wouldn't let me use 2 $20 coupons. Once again u give someone power and they enjoy squashing the little man. I am not happy w how they handled this transaction!!!! I've been to a lot of sporting good stores and this one is pretty much as expected. The store is great, easy to find what you want. that is good because its hard to find someone to help you out. Once you do find someone however the staff is pretty knowledgeable. I bought so golf stuff and soccer shoes and they got me checked out pretty quick. It sounds like it can get pretty busy on the weekend, but i was there during the work wee and it was fine. Not a bad stop at all, but probably a little more expensive than buying on line. read more
