The last time I went flyfishing is when I lived in Calgary and I fished the bow river and that was close to 30 years ago. Fast forward to February 2024. I've been to a few other fly shops, which were closer, but frankly I was treated like a "noob" and, like I was frankly an imposition to the sales team I hopped on my motorcycle and drove from the Aurora Denver area all the way down to this store simply to get fly line, put on a real, and I could not have been any more impressed with the staff! Every single person I talk to at this store was so unbelievably nice and helpful and they understood the value of amazing customer service. I cannot tell you how relieved I was that I have found my fly shop oh, and by the way, not only did I get line but I picked up another rod and reel set up so that tells you something about how wonderfully helpful they are They did not try to "oversell me", instead, they pointed me in a very affordable rig, and will allow me to grow from there. I took my scott rod in for repair it has a lifetime warranty they got it back and said I had to pay $220 for the repair the person I talked to was Neil when asked why so much his reply was because my rod was to old they had to order parts I told him that didn't sound right for a lifetime warranty I called scott rods they in turn called anglers the out come was I payed $65 I have lost all confidence in them I will never go back if you experience the same I would call the manufacturer to verify before paying them anything read more

I'm not sure how Anglers All received any bad reviews. My husband and I love visiting fly shops all over the country. I have to say Anglers All is one of the Best Around. As a woman fly fisherman I have NEVER felt less than by anyone in the shop ~ it sounds like a personal problem to me (read other reviews). I have been to many shops around the area that I won't visit again but Anglers All is Not one of them. The guys that work there are extremely knowledgeable, Love to chat about fishing, how rivers are running and what the fish are biting on. The shop is great, they have a lot in stock for not only flies, equipment and fly tying material. But the reason for my 1 star review is the employees. I've gone here on a few occasions to purchase some large ticket items, i.e. my first pair of Patagonia waders or looking for a new rod/reel upgrade. When I asked for help, I felt like I was treated awful, the staff was really condescending. It was a truly terrible experience. So I thought, maybe that person was having a rough day. Nope, I went in another time - this time is was for a bunch of fly tying material because I just received a fly vise for christmas last year. Again, the same snobbish treatment. I was just trying to start with an easy fly pattern and I showed a design that worked for me on the Big Thompson that I wanted to recreate and was just looking for fun patterns I could try. The attitude I received was somewhat superiority rather than helpfulness for a novice fly tyer. I'm not sure if it is gender focused, since I am a woman and I know there's not a lot of women in the fly fishing industry. BUT c'mon seriously? Definitely not cool that I was treated so rudely on multiple occasions. Bottom line: if you want to be treated with respect and not 'have all the wind taken from your sails' type of feeling, go elsewhere. Also, it's not just myself, I've talked to a few people around town and they feel the same way. I hope for the sake of the business they do try to change, and I can visit the shop sometime in the future... but for now I stand by my 1 star review. read more

I attended a special event and sale on the Saturday before Easter. The event is annual, so we had the most beautiful day to walk around and listen to some fabulous Bob Marley style live music! Fishing Vendors had booths set up to display reels, rods, flies, boats, shirts, hats, you name it! My husband and son in law love to fish, and I tagged along for fun! I thought the vendors were very knowledgeable and engaged in conversation because of their passion for the sport. We all bought some items at great prices. They were raffling some high dollar items at the end of the day, and the tent was packed with people. Everyone cheered for the winners. The charities and vendors were recognized! We donated to two groups: Healing waters takes Veterans fly fishing, and another group that does the same for foster children. Lunch was free BBQ, with fried cornbread, slaw and meat and beans or BBQ tofu from Moes! There was free beer from Avery as well. This event was enough to make this gal want to go fishing! I just feel like I really need that cool wood trimmed river boat that the Boulder company had on display!! read more

Excellent customer service! I mistakenly ordered the wrong item from their website. In the e-mail order confirmation, they list a phone number which I called to cancel my order. The phone was promptly answered by a real human with no machine-prompts and they helped me straighten out my mistake in a prompt and professional manner. I even got a personalized e-mail from their support staff to let me know my errant order had been cancelled and that my updated (correct) order had been packaged and would ship the same evening. I stopped in here the other day searching around for some flies and a creel. I've wanted one for a while more so as an old-fashioned accessory. While they didn't have any creels available, I probably wouldn't have bought one from them anyway after my experience. I looked around initially and they have a pretty solid range of products. Their fly selection is good sized. After looking around a bit I was approached by an employee. He asked what I was looking for and I mentioned a creel. His response was pretty rude and almost condescending in tone. He said they were a catch-and-release promoting store. That's great! I mentioned that I do that myself the majority of the time. Rather than letting it go he asked me why I needed a creel then if I was going to release the fish I caught anyway. I didn't even bother getting into an argument or responding, I just said thanks, no problem and walked away to look at some other gear. As I was looking around, I another older guy checking out. As he was checking out, he brought up some question about pricing. The guy checking him out got a bit flustered and didn't understand his question. So, he first refunded part of the purchase price. Then, once he understood the initial mix up, he had to recharge the guy for the first goof up. The old guy wasn't too happy and was in a hurry. These guys need to get their game together and learn a little humility. Not a place I'd recommend. I would look elsewhere for fishing gear. read more

After moving to Denver I took my time and checked out the majority of shops all over the area. Once I found Anglers All, I knew I found a great place to get set up with fishing knowledge and supplies. I have purchased boots, waders and materials here and am always happy. The staff is always energetic and excited to help. I live close to downtown so this is a bit of a haul to get there, but it is well worth the hike. The selection of materials is comparable, if not larger than that of Charlie's Flybox. The only issue I have had (a minor one at that) is that some supplies have been out of stock consistently. There were a few times that a particular bead was out of stock three consecutive times I went in. Bummer. Aside from that, the place is my candy store and I love going in. read more

Very disappointed! This is a shop that I've been in and out of for years being a flyfisherman for some 30 Plus years and living in southeast Denver. For the first time in my life I had a chance to go to bellize to do some bonefishing. So I went to anglers all. The staff help me out quite a bit. I Bought two rods, reels, fly line and Numerous flies, leaders and tippet. Not an inexpensive endeavor. Due to an error on my part I overbought flies, leader and Tippet, The thinking was that we would need to supply two fisherman that would be fishing separately. Due to health conditions I don't think I'll ever go back to Belize although I would love to. But unfortunately when I tried to return some of these flyers and tippet the staff there didn't even consider returning them telling me they just didn't that. None of the flies or tip it had been used or exposed to salt water. Just extremely disappointed. That they wouldn't even consider taking some of them back or doing a trade for something else. These were saltwater flies, some to the tune of seven and eight dollars apiece. read more

I have visited Anglers All twice now, and both times I have been extremely impressed. I am a beginner/intermediate fly-fisherman and not only was I able to purchase the gear I needed, but they gave me some great advice and tips for the water I was heading to. I find that certain fly shops can give off a bit of an unwelcoming attitude if you're not an expert. These guys are the complete opposite - they were very welcoming the moment I walked in the door. When I first started with the idea of fly fishing it was intimidating to say the least. I walked into anglers all and was immediately greeted and I explained I was new and didn't have a clue what I was doing. The gentlemen spent the next 45 minutes explaining fly fishing from ground zero. I didn't spend a thousand dollars but was treated as well as someone who was. Over the last couple years I've spent numerous hours in the shop taking classes on fly tying, basic techniques and casting. I've also spent lots of time just walking around the fly bins discussing patterns and strategy.
