OMG where have you been all my life? I stumbled in to Gallagher's website and was shocked to find out these guys have been in my backyard all along. We made an early morning Saturday appointment to brew and were greeted with a chill hoppy smelling paradise complete with the basketball game and some Pink Floyd playing. They help you pick a good recipe and then give you both a recipe and instruction card and a tour of where everything is. There were numerous guys on site to help with questions as we went along. They even seemed to sense when we needed a hand before we even had to ask. Brewing takes about 2 hours and then you come back in 2 weeks to bottle. There were some other brewers who were bottling their creations the day we were in and they offered to share some sips along the way. It was an all over great experience, very inexpensive, and super fun. I can't wait to go back and bottle!! read more

A great place to brew your own beer and wine. Pick a receipe from what you like to drink and Dennis and the boys will hook you up with the ingredients to get it done. Saves on messing up your kitchen and is much easier with their brew kettles. Come back in a couple weeks to bottle and you have fresh beer that tastes fantastic. You can also brew root beer and hard cider. They have their beer on tap so you can have a pint or take home a growler while you're waiting on your own. read more

I went here to brew some beer as a birthday gift. I thought it would be good because this is a brewery afterall. It would be my first time brewing beer, so I thought they would do it right. Much to my shegrin the beer was flat. Now I am forced to either go back twice to make it right, or uncap and recarbonate myself. I will never go back to this place or recommend it to anyone I know. It would be much easier to do it myself. Not worth my time or money. read more

You are welcome to bring your own pizza to have with the awesome beers.. tables/chairs available. You can sign-up for he mug club, register for a beer or wine making class.. this place does it all. This place is really cool! They have everything you need to brew a batch of beer the easy way (while drinking a pint or two)! (I've tried brewing at home, and boy is it a pain!) They have water lines, giant barrels of malt & honey, hops, grains, and more! All you need to do is follow some simple directions and feel like a brew master! Unfortunately, I had a trip to Thailand planned and we didn't follow through to do our bottling but the process looked easy enough. O'well. Maybe next time! I'm sure i'll be back! read more

Had a wonderful time here brewing with a group of friends a few weekends ago. I love the fact you can taste some of the beers before deciding what you want to brew (and then that you can drink while you brew...for a fee of course). The staff at Gallagher's was friendly and VERY helpful when we had a few questions. I look to heading back next weekend to bottle and see how our two brews taste! read more

This place is great. The staff is helpful and on top of everything. The processes are step by step easy to follow. Your able to drink while you brew, and drink while you bottle. All money invested goes to drinking beer and not storing massive amounts of equipment. If you do it once or twice and stop your not out a bunch of equipment costs but I do warn you, once you start you will not stop. read more

We have been brewing and drinking beer at Gallaghers' for a long time. It's been a year, but we enjoy the new owners Tom and Marcie as well as the old "crew" (Chris, Andrew, Kate, and Riley). I took my husband here as a surprise for his birthday, and we both had a blast making beer as well as bottling it a couple weeks later. We even got to bring our dog. They recommend making a reservation ahead of time to ensure a spot in either the beer making area or bottling area without having to wait. Everyone who works here is extremely nice and helpful throughout the whole process. They have a bar area with six or so beers on tap that you can enjoy throughout the process. We ended up choosing a beer we enjoyed on tap to make over choosing one from their huge book of recipes. A full batch (132 or so 12 ounce bottles) is between $150-$185 and half a batch is $100. If you don't have your own bottles, you can purchase bottles for an additional cost. read more

Gallagher's, Where I Brew is a pretty magical place, I mean you get to create your very own beer for god's sake! My buddies and I just bottled our batch of coffee porter last night and it is delicous, not to mention we had to use a hand truck to get the beer from the shop to the cars! The staff is awesome too, very friendly and helpful. If you appreciate beer and have never brewed your own, get in there and get some! read more

This place is pretty interesting. I like the fact you can brew your own beer but it looks like you can only brew in large portions.

Gallagher's is really cool--but they make it too easy, and there are too many people there just to 'make beer' and get a bit tipsy... Let's make it a bit challenging and create something that's just not the same 'ale' that you can fine on every other block in Seattle... They should make a 'dog free' area too--I am not too happy when fido drinks out of my beer glass. read more

This is a fun and unique establishment. If you're not familiar with Harbor Square, it may be a bit difficult to find - essentially located in a business complex. I'm not sure how long they've been in business, and I really had no clue they were here until I was invited to join a group of friends for a brew party. We had a room reserved, and brought in our own food. It was a great night, and I'd definitely like to go back again to see what more they have to offer. read more

If you're not stopping in to brew beer or fill up your growler from time to time (and enjoying some tastings while you're there), you're missing out on a good thing. What a great experience! We just finished bottling Whitenuckle IPA and Great Dane Hoppy Pils. You need to plan to dedicate two visits, two weeks apart. It was educating, fun and tasty! Just brewed our second batch of beer yesterday. Love this place! It's so convenient that they have everything and even clean up after you! As an avid beer drinker I decided to take my love a step further and learn how to make the stuff. The owners and staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. The owners, Tom and Marci, are crazy fun and everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable about beer and how to make it just like you like it. Had a great time making the Bearded Cannonball Stout (although we named ours "Emotionally Available Stout" in honor of a recent romantic breakup in our little group). Great fun, easy to follow directions and a wonderful staff that helps and jokes along with you. Beer-making day...and bottling day. It is truly a place for loved ones and friends to gather and celebrate just being together united in a common purpose: making beer. Over the years, I have enjoyed Gallagher's and Gallagher's products so much that beer is typically the wedding gift I provide when I am invited to a local wedding. We went to Gallaghers for a fun birthday activity, there were four of us and we brewed a batch of the GalleyMac. It was super fun. The staff is very helpful, laid back, and we thoroughly enjoyed the process. Really great beers on tap to sip while we brewed our own. Can't wait for bottling day. We'll certainly be back to do more brewing in the future. We also brought our own snacks- cheeses and fruits which was a fun munchy to have while we waited for the brew to finish! read more

Gallaghers U-Brew in Edmonds, Washington I have been going to Gallaghers for many years. My wife loves them as much as I because she says I do not take over the bathtub with my wort and destroy the kitchen. If you want to learn the artistry of making beer or have a favorite recipe, this place is awesome. They have all the grain types and hops to make anything you want. The owner and craftsmen brewers are so helpful and fun you get lost in making your favorite brew. Join the mug club and take it to the next level. You get all the news, invited to all the club parties and get great discounts on top of it. Also you get a 20 oz mug to use while you are making or just drinking good brews. When you stop in, ask for Chris. Everyone is great at Gallaghers. Just so you know, they also have super top notched wine kits. We got some gift certificates to make our brew.. this place is cool I will say, BUT my BIG Pet peeve is they charged us 7 bucks or more for a beer, ended up being over $55 bucks .. not a big deal BUT THEY MADE IT SOUND LIKE IT CAME WITH THE EXPERIENCE. It doesn't. They did NOT tell us, have prices listed or anything. Not a big deal but if you don't have a lot of money, it was expensive... PLUS they forgot to mention the bottles we had were not acceptable, soo had to go buy more AFTER buying a bunch of bottled beer to collect bottles in the first place... just became more and more expensive!!! read more
