    Troth's are fantastic!

One of the most well poised product line worth the experience and investment and the co-owner/hostess was fabulous in her knowledge and presentation. We felt relaxed and well taken care of throughout the experience as well as other guests. It was a great opportunity for an opener into the world of distillery by one of the best! I used the tasting event as a back drop for the thank you card and small hand made gifts I had made weeks before as pre holiday gifts and James Bay Distillers really surpassed all of my expectations to make the day a great end of the year 'moment' for all of us in a large part due to their fantastic product line! Thank you, James Bay Distillers!

Was on business trip and had time to try this distillery. Whiskey was amazing and the owners were very knowledgeable.

Rhelynn, our server, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing. She was knowledgeable about the menu, checked in at all the right moments, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and very enjoyable. The custom cocktails were a standout. Becca clearly knows her craft--each drink was well‑balanced, creative, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there's real attention to detail and pride behind the bar. If you're on the fence about trying something custom, absolutely do it--you won't be disappointed. The food paired perfectly with the cocktails and rounded out a great overall experience. Between the quality of the drinks, the solid food, and the excellent service, Bluewater Distillery delivered across the board. We'll definitely be back and will be recommending this place to friends--especially if Rhelynn and Becca are working.

The food was AMAZING! We got so full I couldn't get dessert but I definitely wanted to. The only downside was the server we got seemed like she didn't want to be there. She waited at the table before we were ready and seemed annoyed we didn't know what we wanted. When she dropped our food off she didn't come back until we were done to bring a box and drop the check.

We stopped in for a visit and Paul took care of us, and I've got to say, he made the whole thing feel like we were getting a private tour from someone who lives and breathes the craft. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and answered every question we tossed his way without ever making it feel like a lecture. We ordered a couple of flights, and the best part was being able to mix and blend different whiskey styles ourselves. It wasn't just "sip and move on", we actually got to play with flavor, compare notes, and build our own combinations. That alone made the visit memorable, but the whiskey itself sealed the deal. Rich and full of character, every pour had something interesting to say. What we appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. We were given time to explore, talk through the flavors, enjoy the moment, and just be there. It's rare to find a place where the experience feels personal and unrushed, and Copperworks nailed it. If you're in Seattle and want something unique, educational, and delicious, visit here. Sit down, take your time, and let the whiskey do the talking.

They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.

We each decided to do a tasting. I had a few that I past on to the husband but there was one that I actually enjoyed. The person was explaining the differences between each and was really trying to find something that I would like. I appreciated that extra step. It was a good experience. Definitely better whiskey than you get at bars. Hmmm, maybe that's why I don't like whiskey? Next time I need to write down the whiskey I like so that I can just order that and not the rest. :) ....... .. ......... .. ....
