    Award-Winning Liqueurs
    Jacques I.

This is an awesome distillery in downtown Snohomish! We learned about this company after attending a distillery festival, as they had really distinct, inventive liqueurs. So when we were in Snohomish we decided to visit for a tasting. The space was very inviting. Staff was happy to help us, making sure we found a liqueur we liked or were curious about. They were also very sociable with all the patrons inside. And I loved that they had regulars visit. The tastings is a great way to try the various kinds of hard A they have here. My personal favorite is the nocino, which is the best accompaniment to your coffee or even just on its own or over the rocks. Nocino is a walnut liqueur, and it really has that nutty flavor that's silky and a little creamy. I love it and always have a bottle in my bar cart! But I encourage you to try everything here, as there's something for everyone. Located in downtown Snohomish, it's easy to find, with plenty of street parking around, and there's a bar area where you can pull up a stool and sniff and taste the booze. Cheers!

I've never been much of a lover of hard alcohol, but let me tell you, I am HOOKED on some of these flavors! Thank you for a wonderful visit and some great new beverages.

They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.

We each decided to do a tasting. I had a few that I past on to the husband but there was one that I actually enjoyed. The person was explaining the differences between each and was really trying to find something that I would like. I appreciated that extra step. It was a good experience. Definitely better whiskey than you get at bars. Hmmm, maybe that's why I don't like whiskey? Next time I need to write down the whiskey I like so that I can just order that and not the rest. :) ....... .. ......... .. ....

I wish I would have remembered the name of the sweet person who was so informative and engaging. I loved that we were offered a private tour of the distillery. It was fun to walk around as we sipped our gin and whiskey samples. What made the tour even better was to hear the history of the company and how well they treat their employees. The positivity definitely shines through and creates an even better customer experience. I ended up purchasing without doubt a bottle of Kur Gin. I am somewhat of a gin snob, this gin is so deliciously smooth you can drink it neat which I find to be rare for most gins. If you are looking for a tasty cocktail or want to know more about gin and whiskey stop by and visit Wildwood Spirits you won't be disappointed.

Everything we tried we loved and purchased. All liquors are bottled by hand. Their bourbon whiskey "The Dark Door" is a rare commodity. It's bottled once a year and always sells out at pre-sale. It's that good! They have a vodka "Stark Vatten" which translates to strong water. The keys to a great vodka are odorless, tasteless and colorless. Stark Vatten has all of those qualities to make a great vodka. Last but certainly not least, their gin "Kur" pronounced cure, is in a league of its own and has won many awards. It won awards in 2015,16 and 17 at San Francisco's World Spirits Competition. I recommend anyone to check out Wildwood Spirits, I'm certainly going back for more Dark Door, Stark Vatten and Kur.
