We had a tasting of their delicious whiskey and liquors. All of them were outstanding: raspberry, blackberry regular and with orange peel and loganberry. Service is amazing, of course it's a small place so owners and the makers of the stuff are serving you as well. After the tasting, we proceeded to have cocktails in their back patio which also has live music 2-4 pm on weekends. We actually came back for the live music and listened to lovely singer in their patio while sipping cocktails. And of course I had to bring home some of the liquors as they were too good to leave them there. Definitely a must do while on Whidbey island.

Lots of parking out front and super easy to find if you use a maps app. It's not a huge place, but plenty of room for a small group. You can do a tasting or have a cocktail. You can also buy spirits to go. There is a huge variety here, whiskey, scotch, gin, etc. For 10$ you can do a tasting that includes 8 tastes. There are a variety of interesting things to try. They have a cart they bring out to pour from. You can ask tons of questions and read about all the tasting notes of whatever you try. Everything was delicious. The facility is beautiful, the tour and bottling process were top-notch, and you can really see the pride they take in every bottle they produce. The highlight of the trip was getting to bottle my very own single barrel selection. Being part of that process made it an experience I'll never forget. I also couldn't leave empty-handed, so I headed home with six bottles and plenty of Woodinville swag. They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.

After too many years without a visit, we rolled in on a sunny July afternoon for a few cocktails. Their Insta photos just made the special libations for this month sound all too irresistible. The setup is virtually unchanged since my first review years ago. They just have more cocktails on the menu, and more different special-release stuff to taste. We tried gins flavored with black truffles, coffee, and other cool accents. The taster flight is easily worth it, and we mixed in 4 different cocktails over the course of the session.
