BD is a distillery with a tasting room. Their products and drinks are all whiskey related with an exception or two. There is no food service here but they welcome you to bring your own food or door dash etc. it's a low key joint that has a local feel. Lots of local traffic. They have bottle sales as well. Had a great time here. So happy to find a close home grown distillery here after moving near by recently. We will definitely be regulars! We enjoyed flights of whisky/bourbon and shines then finished off with two cocktails. So good! read more

Good drinks and even better vibes! What more do ya want?! First off, lemme say that Amy is awesome! She made us feel at home and was so warm and welcoming; aside from the delicious drinks she also closed the deal as to why we'll definitely be coming back for more in the future. We each had a flight of whiskeys and were not disappointed, Moonshine Apple Pie was purdy derned good! Single Barrel Whiskey was also tasty! But the Old Fashioned is one of the best I've had in the PNW (yeah I know, a lot of hype). Try it out for yourself and you decide, I know I have. read more

Bad Dog doesn't really fit, because everything about my recent visit here was more than good! As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by one of the pups. After I mentioned it was my first time there I got the grand tour of the distillery and explanation of the process. I was the only customer at the time but I'm not sure that would have mattered. They are very proud of what they do here and they have a quality product. They also have soon big plans for expansion in the next several months that I hope happens. I chose a flight with four of their whiskeys. There were so many to choose from, I'll try another set next time I am there. First was the single barrel bourbon which has notes of fruit and caramel. A slight burn at the beginning but pretty smooth. Second was the single malt, much smoother and a nice honey finish. Third was 2 Dogs, distilled from 100% rye beer. There are not many bottles left and it is more pricey than most other selections but worth it. Last was the Grandpa's Likkerish made with star anise. If you like black licorice this is one you have to try. I walked out with two bottles from what I tried but wish I had tried more. Oh well, there's always next time! You can find their products at Haagen's and Total Wine, but I recommend going to the source at least once. They don't currently serve food, so make sure you eat before you go. read more

Bad Dog has quite a.few selections to taste. Today I was one on one with the owner. So far all the samples have been smooth to drink, and they have some bottles that are ready to mix. Like the Chipotle, just add your tomato juice and you have a killer Bloody Mary. Or the Moonshine Apple, just like eating pie! read more

This place is awesome. We went in for a tour and Dave, Shelly & Adam made it fun & educational. Truly loved the experience and seeing the passion the have for what they do. I had bought a groupon as a present for my man and have been calling, trying to schedule an appointment for a tour and I have been unsuccessful for the past 2 weeks!!!!!! I have left vm, never received a call back, I have called on the days they were open and all I get is their vm... It shouldn't be THIS DIFFICULT to schedule a damn tour!!!!! If I can't get ahold of anyone by the end of this weekend I am asking for a refund!! I finally was able to get ahold of someone today and was able to book my tour! I will revise my rating after the tour. Because they were so difficult to get ahold of i rate it a 2 star. I have changed my rating to a 5 star!!! After finally being able to get ahold of Dave and Shelly and meeting them both for the tour.... they both deserve a shit ton of stars!!! Dave and Shelly were both so welcoming and warm, Dave was so above and beyond full of information and gave us step by step info on how his spirits were made! he even got to meet the famous dog! lol the liquors were absolutely delicious and u can tell by the taste there's absolutely no fillers!!!! I purchased this tour as a surprise present for my man and he just loved it! thank u Shelly for getting in touch w/me so quickly and making sure I was taken care of! Dave & Shelley were so nice! Dave is very knowledgeable and willing to share it. A very inviting place with fitting decor. We purchased the tour on Groupon for Valentines Day and had a great time. All of the liquor has great tastes. Shelley made me a Bloody Mary with Chipotle Vodka and bacon rimshot that was phenomenal! The gift after the tour was a very nice Moscow Mule set. We purchased their Chipotle Vodka & Whiskey and they were happy to sign them for us. I will recommend them to everyone, and will be waiting for their ventures in to other types of liquors. read more

Amazingly beautiful tap room! The moonshine, whisky, and vodka are well worth the drive from Seattle! Their apple pie moonshine is to die for. ...omg sooooo good. Extremely friendly owners who are incredibly welcoming. You definitely notice a small- town feel while here which is a nice change from the fast paced rush of the city. We purchased a groupon for something to do while in Arlington to the distillery. We went and and were greeted and taken through a tour of the distillery area. Very informal and informational. We learned a lot about the distillery process. We aren't really whiskey or bourbon drinkers, however, we both found that the spirits were very smooth and flavorful. We spent 2 hours between the tour and tasting and really had a very good time. Dave and his wife are very warm and welcoming as were all the staff that we interacted with. My wife and I went to Bad Dog today with the Groupon. Dave was exceptionally kind and friendly as he showed us his process for making his product. My wife and I agreed, it was some of the best vodka and whiskey we've ever had. I would highly recommend the Apple Pie Moonshine. The Moscow Mule gift via the Groupon was an awesome treat as well! read more

We are a custom crafted distillery located in Arlington Washington. We create quality Whiskey, Vodka, and Moonshine in the most traditional ways from the highest quality ingredients. Every detail is custom from our copper still to the organically grown, local Washington wheat and corn, every step of the process is overseen by our master distiller Dave.

History

Established in 2014.

In 2012 Dave and wife, Shelly, decided it was time to do something worth doing, and with that realization, they came up with putting together a local distillery here in Snohomish County. Hailing from the rural area of Bryant, just North of Arlington, they haven't decided to take their business elsewhere, but to grow something here at home. Shelly and Dave are proud to have Bad Dog Distillery as a local business ready to provide quality product and charitable efforts to their community. Shelly and Dave are no newcomers to the liquor business. Dave has a family history of moonshining. Distilling their own and distributing it to the community, his uncles, who are rumored to have perfected their skills from their father, settled into the backwoods of Machias. They were bootleggers who brought not only a quality product to their community, but something for all the locals to share and enjoy amongst the great company of one another.

The owners, Dave and Shelly McGlothern, of Bad Dog Distillery are passionate about supporting local. We is quite different than other Seattle area distilleries. We are grain-to-bottle using many local products. The most unique part is our handcrafted stills that Dave built. The good ole' fashion pot still makes some fine smooth whiskey.

That aside.... 1) I get why they moved the singles... now they're cold next door. 2) Excellent prices. Discounts during happy hour and if you bring two+ growlers. 3) Nice staff (although the station owner is the best because he seems like the real beer drinker of the group and knows the most). 4) They fill the growlers well on a consistent basis.
