Great place to enjoy a glass of wine and a snack after a hectic day of tiptoeing through the tulips.

This place was okay! We went for a snack on the water and this was the perfect place for it. There are patio seats looking over the water and we heard there are frequent otter sightings here (though we didn't see one). They have a great, inexpensive and unpretentious wine list with plenty by the glass. We split a glass of rose and it was lovely! The food was just okay. They bragged about having large portions but our $18 cheese plate was a small snack for sure. It also said it came with fruit and chocolate and they only brought out the cheese, crackers, and nuts. Not sure if they were out, we didn't have enough time to talk to our server to figure this out. The servers were all in a huge hurry and missed a lot. I know they were busy and don't completely blame them, but it was definitely amiss. They asked if we wanted more wine and we said no, so they cleared our food quickly even though we were still eating. They also put a reserved sign on our table while we were still there (we only stayed maybe 25-30 min) and told us that someone else wanted our table. It was kind of rude and we felt super rushed by the servers. We really felt like we were being hurried out and didn't get the full experience. They also took our water glasses and dumped them on the ground next to us while we were still sitting and before we were done. They could not have been more blatant about wanting us to go even though we weren't there long. I would probably revisit on a slower day to see if things improved, but the service wasn't great. read more

This delightful little spot along the La Conner waterfront is the perfect place for a date night (or a first date) with its cozy ambiance, extensive wine and tasting options, and super friendly service. I was there a couple of weeks ago on a sunny Friday, and it was nice to sip some wine with my cute date (I got a flight of bubbly, he got reds) and get to know each other over one of their cool wine barrel tables. With its views over the channel, and boats passing by on the regular, romantic would be a great way to describe La Conner Sips. It's also conveniently located in the center of town, and easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and cool little nooks that make La Conner such a special place. They do offer food, but we didn't try any on this visit. Maybe next time. ;) read more

We have been going to Sips since Anna opened. it is our favorite family gathering Place. Thirsty Thursday's are the best. Anna and her staff go over and above to give their guests the best service and selection of wines. Summertime we sit out on the patio, sip our wine and watch the boats go by. In winter we sit inside enjoying the artwork eating our charcuterie platters and enjoying our favorite bottle of wine. We love Sips read more

This was such a quaint place to come and relax by the water with wine and friends. The wine was great - I had the red flight and each one offered was very tasty. The food was fantastic! We had the Brie, the charcuterie, and the hummus....all perfect size for sharing and very good. The service was tentative and friendly. This was such a lovely experience! I went with a small group on Memorial Day Weekend to La Conner, and we enjoyed our time at Sips! We had wine flights and some coconut shrimp. Sips was kind enough to take our information and call us when a table was ready so we could enjoy the boardwalk! Pictured is a Bubble Flight and the Coconut Shrimp. I can't wait to come back for more wine and recommendations-their menu speaks for itself of the range of flavors represented. On a recent trip to La Conner, my friend and I stopped in and decided to try one of their wine flights on the rear deck next to the boardwalk. We enjoyed the wine - a trio of two whites and a rose - and, as a friend is a former sommelier, I appreciated the opportunity to sample a variety of wines and learn more about their complexity. The back deck is lovely, with a view of the water and the tribal center across, the owner was pleasant to chat with and, as we were leaving, we browsed their bottle selection and found it surprisingly diverse. I'm more of a beer person myself but, as we enjoyed our time here (as well as the authentic charm of La Conner itself), I expect we'll be back soon - this time, perhaps, for the flight of reds! read more

So I took a stroll waterside in La Conner just behind First Street. I lucked upon Sips! There was a little outdoor spot they had that was inviting. I spent a lovely several hours there. Our server was charming and accommodating. It's essentially apps and wine and other light beverages. She recommended the toasted brie, which was coated in a yummy pepper jelly, and the cheese and charcuterie plate which had a nice selection of three meats, including prosciutto which I love and some very nice salami slices, a selection of five cheeses, two cracker choices and grapes. It was a very nice variety. And I loved sitting out on their charming little patio in the sunshine abutting the water. It was a lovely spot to be to both enjoy the splendid day and get away from the crush of people in La Conner enjoying the day as well. A precious little find. read more

We went and bought a bottle of wine to drink on their patio on a sunny day. All was well until we received the bill and were charged $5.00 each to use a glass to consume the wine we bought to have ON LOCATION at their tasting room! and we were told it was because they had to use water and soap to wash the glass after use. COME ON! Oh, and there is a corkage fee you pay even if you buy the bottle from them.. Again, seems pretty greedy. There is an actual cost to running your business that should not be passed down to the customer. Charging your customers to "use a glass" who want to sit and enjoy your place with a bottle of wine that they bought FROM YOU. it's ridiculous. we WON'T BE BACK and I am spreading the word to all of my friends who frequent this town! better wine shop down the road - Hellam's will get our business. read more

Nothing like a stroll on a beautiful spring day along the waterfront in La Conner. And nothing better than sitting alongside the water sipping a couple of glasses of chilled prosecco, tasting a plate of cured meats and selected cheeses (wine flavored sharp cheddar, Dubliner), a warmed brie and lots of crackers. No rush, lots of birds in the sky and a wonderful afternoon spent watching the crowds, but at a safe distance from everyone. Our server Danielle was helpful, didn't rush us, and made our visit memorable by suggesting the right appetizers to try. Helped us wrap a couple of things to go. A wonderful wine bar in old Downtown La Conner in which we visited after the tulip festival. This was by far the highlight of the day! We were warmly welcomed by the owner who was very friendly and cheerful. We decided to sit on the back patio which is gorgeous on a sunny day. They had a guitarist playing which made it even that much better. The wine selection was large and their appetizers were quite good. They seemed to be paired for the wine theme. How cute is this place?? The owner is a gem and a totally sweetheart who is pouring (literally) some love and vino into the little town of La Conner. I hadn't been in the area in years and the downtown strip of shops is revitalized along with a boardwalk that flanks the water. We wondered from shop to lunch to shops again and about 4 pm we thought: Wine tasting! We settled in for quite a deal. 5 bucks for 5 sips (about an ounce apiece) of whatever was open at this location. The owner has a good palate and we liked what she had on hand. There's a back bar with more seating, and they have live music sometime. I'm so glad to see the wine scene expanding in the area with this new addition. The more the merrier and for us drinkers - the more the motivation. With a few wine shops along this street I'm MUCH more tempted than before to make a visit and a day of it. Good on ya La Conner Sips: boosting the economy and my BAC at the same time! I vote yes! Go here! read more

Very nice deck on the slough and we were luck to get beautiful weather. We were here on a Monday after a holiday weekend so I appreciate that they had been super busy. Still - wine we wanted was not available and lunch we selected was also not available. The cheese and charcuterie plate seemed to be average grocery store fair - not really value for money. More exotic or high end items would have been nicer. The wine was good and the tastes free while we made up our minds. But price per glass was a little high. Atmosphere awesome. Will try it again next time we visit La Conner as it is more to our taste than the burgers and beer that most of the other places offer. read more

What a lovely place to sit and watch the boats go by. Sips offers a very nice, well priced menu of small bites. This treasure has a truely varied wine list and also offers wine flights. The outside seating offers a wonderful view of the channel as well as the beautiful boardwalk that extends from the pub to the hotel.
